Oh dear lord..... this is so god damn lame and predictable. I had long wondered if it was Jana but then bought into the Korbel stuff.

Doesn't surprise me oh well hopefully this will end Y&R's two worst storylines.

Someone on SoapCity has a really good theory about the whole thing and I thought it was really good so I want to post it here:

...I think she's working with them...by giving Colleen the impression that she too was a captive, she got Colleen to tell her the whole story...now Colleen thinks she's going off to spill the beans, when that's what she really did to Jana!! And, yes, some mentioned in another thread the fact the William Bardwell said that no one could have survive that amount of blood loss...so Jana has been collecting her blood (she is a little morbid!!) to prepare for the 'scene' down by the lake with her jacket.

And now, Jana has served her purpose, she gets to come back from the dead, and will eventually get a 'cut' of whatever they find in the Czech Republic.

But I think the professor is being framed...he wouldn't hurt, or be involved in hurting Colleen...she's too ready, willing and able!! Wait...I think CARMEN is in on it too!!! They faked her death to frame him (Jana's tale to Colleen, and before that, Jana's 'conveniently' finding the articles on the 'intanet' about the student that committed suicide) and so that Carmen could get away too!! (Maybe she'll have plastic surgery and come back as Phyllis too!!)

And how 'bout this...Neil is in on it too...he and Carmen are working to convince Dru that she is loco, and then after she is locked away, the two of them will ride off into the sunset!!

An active imagination is a wonderful thing!!

TTFN,

Stella

Predictable, I thought it was her from the beginning. I am actually glad because that means the character will be written out. And one less tie to Brad's storyline.

So basically the only person that Carmen didn't piss off before she died killed her. Well that's nice.

Sounds interesting, but yeah all the same dull in the same way...Jana would have had to have done some serious stalking on Professor Korbell to get up in his place to frame him....Someone at some point said that they thought Professor Korbel was the one with the surveillance equipment in his apartment...

I think it's hilarious that Jana and Kevin are the 'perfect' match

Is Carmen even dead anyway? I mean, Jana killing her couldn't mean anything. This storyling is just so stupid.....

Wow....there sure are some unhappy people here.

I, for one, am THRILLED!!! I have loved Jana for quite some time now and I'm so happy that she's going to be frontburner (at least for a while). :) :)

It's Jana. She's working with the reliquary people. She framed Korbel, kidnapped Colleen and put her in that fridge with her. Lauren finds a document stating Jana took a kickboxing course that gives such forceful blows, it could kill a person. At the end of the show Jana gets into the passenger side of the car Kevin is about to drive. Guess I'll hear tomorrow what Carmen has to do with everything.

Never thought I would say this but, I actually feel sorry for Kevin. :( He really seemed to like Jana and the two of the were really cute together, quirks and all. I guess this will be a way to turn him back into the creep he was once before.

from the day ahead episode airing in Canada

Kevin is still in disbelief as Jana hugs him, he asks what happened to her. Jana says she's in a lot of trouble, and begs Kevin to come with her!

Kevin arrives to where Collen is and they try to escape but Jana turns back on them and reveals she set them up!!

She wants to kill Colleen and put the blame on Kevin!

Colleen and Kevin learn the truth about Jana - she broke in Brad's home, stole Victoria's jewels, and bugged the place!

She is also the daughter of the man who wants the artifact, cracking the code is worth millions of dollars!

:o :o :o

The hack never fails to disappoint does she? Now I see why she gave all credit to that Scott dude. LOL. Honestly, I'm happy that it's not one of Y&R's more prominent character. That would have been soooooooo stupid. So anyways, I saw the day ahead show (via download), and boy oh boy is the finale lame. Within seconds of the episode you can already figure out that Jana is the killer. The reveal was bloody pathetic IMHO. Colleen figures it all out. Kevin: Jana, you killed Carmen? COMMERCIAL. Jana: Yes, blah blah, blah. I'm so sick of this sh!t. Oh and the most PATHETIC thing of all, is that the sequence of how Carmen was killed was shown MONTHS AGO. The theory that Prof. Korbel (??) had on Jana killing Carmen was SPOT ON. El Cheapo couldn't even shoot another scene. I hear that the actress was offered a full time contract but denied. So, I wouldn't be surprised if Ms. funky hair and her two brain cells just threw this junk together.

I swear this fu.cking idiot of a writer is just unbelievable in her mission to put every story into THAT story which NOBODY GIVES A DAMN ABOUT. Next, we're going to learn that Senator Bodi was working with the Nazi's!!! Or Jill's son is really part of the Relizzzz crew.

I guess the only good thing about this B.S. is that Drucilla is innocent. So, I guess Devon is off the hook! There is no point going spoiler free with this hack. You can smell her sh!t a mile away. <_<

It was badly drawn and has been badly executed since before Carmen died. The motives for Carmen's murder were iffy at best and suddenly Jana had a reason to kill Carmen that we knew nothing about. One of the cardinal rules of a good mystery is clues. Where were the clues? A sudden, out of nowhere motive by an extremely minor character does not a good mystery make.

This is a pretty interesting quote from a comic book site that I think fits this story perfectly:

If the author is playing fair in a mystery story, a reader should be able to solve the mystery before the protagonist. Now, I'm not saying that they have to; I'm just saying that the possibility should be there. All the clues and all the suspects should be there, so that by the time you reach the end of the story, the reader isn't saying, "Boy, that came out of left field, that's pretty clever" but rather, "Oh my God, it was staring me in the face the whole time, I can't believe I missed it!"

I feel personally insulted by this story.

As a fan. As a viewer. As a human being. Who writes this story and says to themselves "Ooooh yeah, now this is good TV."

Who. The. Hell?
