AMC: Once the Satin Slayer story is over...what's left?

Tzelkos, it's really not that hard. McTavish uses whodunit mystery umbrellas to hide the fact that she can't write stories for the characters individually.

She did "Who Killed Will" back in the early 90's. Then she did "Who Raped TKFP" back in the late 90's... and what's the first thing she did when she returned this third time? "Who Killed Michael Cambias" She uses "Who's the Daddy" stories in the interim.

This is the third murder mystery she's written in 3 1/2 years... the SECOND in a mere 4 months!

So what's left after the Budget Cut Kill-- I mean, Satin Slayer story is over with? Another "Who's the Daddy" story.

That's her pattern. After a "Who Killed" story, she goes into a "Who's the Daddy" story, followed by a "Long Lost Relative" story, and then comes full circle to another "Who Killed" story.

Damn, you just OWNED McT. Good job!

Too bad they can't all be as interesting as 'Who Killed Will?'. Now THAT was a great murder mystery. There were so many twists and turns. To McT's credit, the Michael Cambias murder mystery was also entertaining (at least in the beginning). But the whole Greg Madden thing was one huge headache-inducing bore. The current 'Satin Slayer' thing is also boring (and too gimmicky). McT's latest stint (especially the last 2 years) has turned AMC into one huge gimmicky JOKE.

Would people watch for a Who Killed Babe story? Thats the one Im anticipating

I'd be too busy dancing in the streets to actually care who did it.

If you throw in Josh, I'd be pleased as pie.

If they did that, I think AMC would be Y&R in the ratings ;):P

I forgot to mention Zarf/Zoe in my original post as something the show still has going for it BUT

Apparently Jeffrey Carlson will be leaving the show to appear in a play. I'm assuming this would take place in May since they said the story was a 6 month arc (started in December). It is unknown whether or not he will return afterwards.

I'm seriously worried about what's going to happen in March.

I can go either way with Jeffrey Carlson and Zoe....I don't love the story or hate it...it's just kind of there.

I have total faith in McTavish. The only time I haven't liked her was for a short time last year when things were really slow after Madden in the box. Other than that, I'm a definate fan of her writing.
