Very good show today.Great performances by everyone!

I loved it when Beth smacked Lizzie!

Jonathan's performance by climbing on top of Tammy was a little over the top but he is Reva's son so maybe that is true to character.I could see Reva climb on top of Josh if he was in that situation.

BTW where was Josh?

Because of my upbringing Jonathan's railing at God was a little uncomfortable to me and somewhat blasphemous but then again that was true to his character.

I am very interested in tomorrow's show.Kim Zimmer as Bert Bauer!!

At least GL IS trying to do something to honor their history.

Remember ATWT?The Munsonsters and I Dream of Carly? The bear scaring the ladies on the bus?

And there you go! I gave GL a positive post while remembering (and bemoaning) ATWT's pathetic tribute to their 50th Anniversary!

Oh, God... this was such a good soap opera...

I loved everyone! Tom, Kim, Ron, Nicole, Stephanie, Marcy, Beth... they were ALL just great!

The ending scene was a bit too much, but oh... Jonathan was always like that in a way... Loved when Tammy just whispers "I love you" in the end and then just died... so sad... :( I really hope that GL gets good ratings next week, because it deserves it!

Kim Zimmer at Alan's was great! So was he!

The whole Lizzie and Jon in church wasn't just screaming to me.. I liked it... and when Beth showed up, it might have been a little too much screaming for me, but it was still good drama... Beth was great! I loved it when she slapped Lizzie! Lizzie is such a [!@#$%^&*] and I hate her with passion!

Baby Sarah is adorable!

Bravo, GL! This is how you celebrate your b-day! I really hope that GL isn't cancelled, cause this is a proof that GL still has so much to give!

OMG...the last few days have just been torturous. I was fine until the scenes between Tammy & Cassie. Then, I started bawling. :(

I didn't think I could hate Lizzie anymore but the way she had the nerve to make everything about her and take away from Tammy's pain was despicable. I was so happy to see Beth slap her. That was so unexpected. The entire thing was a tad over the top but at the same time, how long has it been since Beth went out of control like that? She has good reason. Lizzie was almost like some possessed child who wouldn't stop flailing her arms. That scene disturbed me in some ways.

Everytime Cassie brings up foster care and her regrets about not being able to be there for Tammy...it just kills me. The look on Cassie's face when Tammy was asking her to take care of Jonathan and Sarah, not her was heartbreaking to watch. Stephanie Gatschet was fantastic throughout the entire show. She really does have that angelic look about her which makes it even more sad that Tammy's dying. She was 'the' light in a couple of people's lives.

Jonathan's tirade against the priest (can't remember his name) and God was just..wow. My mom, who is a hardcore Catholic and gets upset at the sound of someone saying "Oh, my God!", happened to get sucked into watching today (she never watches GL but she's come to recognize Tammy & Jonathan..go figure) and she was silent during that entire scene. Usually, she'd be ranting about how people shouldn't be spewing out crap like that so that's should say something about how good Tom Pelphrey was in those scenes as well as the writing. I mean, who wouldn't be able to relate to being angry at God for taking away someone who seemed the least to deserve it?

I have no ounce of sympathy for Alan. I can't say enough how much this guy deserves to rot in hell for what he's done.

The last scene was chilling. It seemed to last an eternity. Jonathan climbing on the bed to hold a limp Tammy was, agreed, not typical soap death reaction, but I can understand his need to feel close to her. And this is Jonathan we're talking about...so I'm not too surprised. The animalistic crying was hard to listen to...soo sad. Add Cassie's painful sobs while Reva holds her and it's even harder to watch. I noticed how the lighting went dark in that scene. Very effectlve in capturing the depressing atmosphere.

RJ and Josh should have been there. Heck, even Remy. But I also think it's realistic that not everyone that "needed" to be there wasn't there since Jonathan and Cassie themselves didn't think that Tammy was going to die. :(

Despite me feeling like utter crap now, it was a really good show. Great performances by Tom Pelphrey, Nicole Forester, Stephanie Gatschet, Beth Chamberlin, Kim Zimmer, and heck, even Ron Raines (he nails the role of the heartless bastard very well).

I haven't seen it yet, but hearing good things all over. The year is still young, and I already see GH/ATWT/Y&R dishing out atleast three outstanding episodes. But that doesn't mean GL can't too.

ETA: Then again, I think emmy voters will be tired of "death" episodes, as they will be bombarded this year with Y&R's John, ATWT's Jennifer, DAYS Zach, and probably GH's Tony death episodes.

Who know? Maybe there will be more Emmy-worthy episodes regarding the aftermath. I'm hoping GL does get an Emmy nom out of this storyline. I haven't seen this many people here post on a GL thread and admit that they're watching in ages.

I forgot to mention that my mom ended up sitting through the rest of the show and I swear I saw her wipe her eyes at the end. Again, she doesn't watch GL (or any soap for that matter) so if that's what TPTB were hoping to get out of this story, it's working.

I loved seeing real Beth back. She just needs to get away from Alan once and dor all. That scene were she slapped Lizzie and basically said no one named Spaulding should raise Sarah was good. In a way, I'm sorry that they've taken Lizzie to such extremes of selfishness. When Jon and Tammy are gone she's going to be left and she's really hard to root for at this point. Beth basically told Lizzie she didn't love Sarah and I'm not sure Beth was wrong.

I think this was a good way to end Jammy. They got some good emotional scenes before she died and I think Tammy's death will give the show story for awhile to come. I do wish they had brought on some younger characters and built them up about three months ago. Coop and Ava just don't cut it as the lead couple for the young set.

Reva holding Cassie on the floor was good. I hope Cassie finds a way to make Alan pay.

It won't work. None of those characters have the same charisma or qualities that make you want to root for them. Not that I was rooting for them most of the time, but I could still see they had that certain something. The show had six months to slowly bring in more young people, do some chemistry tests and get the right couple that would make Jammy fans possibly want to stick around. It worries me that they didn't because I think some of them will bail and GL cannot afford that. At all.

I know myself and a lot of other Jammy fans are leaving with the actors. This story has had so many flaws. All GL does is jerk its viewers around. They screwed around with the Manny fanbase and ow they've fed this crap as if it's the finest line of crack to be smoked.

The show had over a year to carefully construct a story but all they did was one plot point after another. So, screw them.

It's all about Zendall on AMC now.

Alan-Michael has charisma even when he's scenes with Ava but I just hate the idea of them being a couple. Ava, to me, comes off as a self-righteous snob more than half the time.

Alot of Jammy fans who got pissed at news that Tammy was going to die swore they'd never watch but many of them have (mainly due to the phenomenal acting) but TPTB can definitely kiss most of them goodbye when SG and TP are off our screens for good since there really isn't any new couple that stands out as an "it" couple right now. And many good characters are stuck in horrendous pairings or storylines so unless the writers clean up their act and start writing interesting stories, who knows what will happen? It'll be interesting to see what the ratings are like in the next few weeks.

    • I think they’re desperately trying to cover his awful tattoos. But anyway them being unable to style short kings properly has been a major pet peeve of mine for a while now.  I honestly don’t understand what some people expect from actors to even begin considering them for recognition. Let’s be real—awards mostly mean that an actor is respected by their peers and has some level of cultural relevance. Actual judgment on the acting itself? That’s often secondary—highly subjective and shaped by the times. I completely agree on both points. If you’re an actor or a dancer you shouldn’t get any tattoos (sorry not sorry). Tomas’ tattoos are ugly too. And regarding the couples- you’re completely right. These writers are unable to write romance.   Further comments: - Kat cannot be this dumb to keep tampering with evidence over and over again. And I’m officially not a fan of the actress—every time she’s in a scene with Leslie, she doesn’t seem intimidated at all. She plays it like comic relief, which is just too much, especially when paired with Leslie’s histrionics and over-the-top antics. Leslie is older, dangerous, and has literally been portrayed as homicidal—Kat should be at least a little scared. • I also didn’t like Kat playing damsel in distress with the hotel manager. It gave off the same weird energy as Dani with the cop. I would’ve much preferred the version Paul Raven suggested, with her sneaking in through housekeeping. • And yes, Dani again accused Hayley of faking the pregnancy—this time even specifying she might be using a pillow under her shirt. (No fake miscarriage being mentioned) I stand by my take: this is ridiculous writing. No one in the real world—except us, the chronically online soap watchers—would even think of such a conspiracy theory. Haley is no Beyoncé. • What in the world was Chelsea wearing in her hair the other day? And this whole thing with Madison is beyond cringe. Chelsea’s coming off as needy and toxic—basically like every other Dupree. • I’m glad the casino storyline is moving forward, but it’s still boring as hell. Honestly, I’d be so here for a plot twist where Vanessa and Doug take Joey out. • The direction and editing lately have been rough. Abrupt cuts, weird pacing… something just feels off overall. There’s a strange uneasiness to how it’s all coming together. • And finally: Tomas is too much of a saint. Where are the messy sluts when you need them? (Vanessa doesn’t count.)
    • I was watching some August 1987 episodes and they brought back so many memories. I had some thoughts: Lisa and Jamie were so dull. Lisa was such a nothing character. It boggles my mind that so much story was centered around her in such a short amount of time. Joanna Going is a talented actress, but the material was just not there.  It was so good to see Wallingford and Mitch again. I know there was talk about Felicia a while back, but these episodes reminded me how integral Felicia was for the show.  Sally Spencer was done so dirty. She is turning in superb performances in an icky storyline. I wish she had stuck around longer. She has chemistry with everyone. The McKinnons should have lasted longer. Spencer had some strong stuff with Stephen Schnetzer and Mary Alexander. AW waster such a talented actress by getting rid of her. Justice for Cheryl too. I also missed Ed Fry when he left. Sandra Ferguson was a star from the moment she came on. She was charismatic and just popped. She had immediate chemistry with RKK and blended in well with Wyndham and Watson. I'd forgotten about the teenage Matthew.  I have no memory of Peggy Lazarus. She must not have lasted long. Was the original plan for John that he was going to turn out to be the twins' real father?
    • If the new and improved copies that @rsclassicfanforever has uploaded can be manually moved into the "by month, by year" folders, that would be awesome. I personally don't think it's necessary to keep the older versions (which either have Dutch subtitles hard coded on them, or are lesser in picture quality). That's a lot of valuable drive space that could be cleared. Just my view but can appreciate others may feel differently. The structure had been by month by year previously, so I think it would be easier to conform to that, where so much prior work to get it to that format has already been done. Hopefully you can "drag and drop" so the new copies are in the right month/year? Re Clips, I never look at them now we pretty much have the episodes in full. Appreciate others may use, however. Thanks for all your hard work here @BoldRestless!
    • Oh yes defintely, Josh Griffith repeats and repeats the same storylines.
    • Isnt’t this storyline similar to the Cameron Kirsten situation though? Sharon thought she killed him. He ended up being alive and Sharon was being tormented with thinking she was seeing his face everywhere and that’s how we got that iconic scene with her and Nikki in the sewers.   I understand in Mariah’s case this is different circumstances but it does seem like a play on that whole thing. Maybe I’m wrong. I just wish if they were going to make any character follow in Sharon’s foot steps it would be Faith. Mariah wasn’t even raised by her, and her personality is different. I would expect her to take a different path. I understand I could be completely jumping ahead because the storyline hasn’t even played out yet but we’ll see.
    • Thanks again @Paul Raven Monica was completely without redeeming qualities at this point. I always found the whole Monica = Carly narrative regressive, as I don't think shows comparing characters so heavily is ever a great idea, but she's actually worse than Carly was. Was it the Pollocks who had Leslie have a miscarriage?  Giving her a child, especially by rape, was not a good idea, but a part of me wishes they'd committed to it just to see what story it might have had in later years.
    • @janea4old Your detailed explanation and delving into the psychology and motivations is no doubt the opposite of what we will see onscreeen. As @ranger1rg stated we will get a few scenes and some sketchy explanations. Like the adoption of Aria, most of it will take place off screen.
    • I'm suddenly fearful that DAYS is going to pull a Flowers-for-Algernon stunt and Bo's progress will be reversed.  While @te. is stuck on Abe's tiny bedroom, I can't stop thinking of the size of Bo's huge hospital room.
