ATWT is still very unbalanced IMO in terms of the show you pretty much have the top 6

1. Jesse Lee Soffer (Will Munson) - 183

2. Jennifer Landon (Gwen Norbeck Munson) - 182

3. Maura West (Carly Tenney) - 171

4. Roger Howarth (Paul Ryan) - 168

5. Marie Wilson (Meg Snyder) - 162

6. Kelly Menighan Hensley (Emily Stewart) - 159

After that you drop of huge with number 7

7. Grayson McCouch (Dusty Donovan) - 143

8. Alexandra Chando (Maddie Coleman) - 142

8. Zach Roerig (Casey Hughes) - 142

10. Terri Colombino (Katie Peretti Kasnoff) - 141

11. Elena Goode (Jade Taylor) - 139

11. Michael Park (Jack Snyder) - 139- Another huge dropoff happens after character number 12

13. Van Hansis (Luke Snyder) - 128

14. Mark Collier (Mike Kasnoff) - 116

15. Ellen Dolan (Margo Montgomery Hughes) - 106

16. Jon Hensley (Holden Snyder) - 105

17. Trent Dawson (Henry Coleman) - 101

17. Colleen Zenk Pinter (Barbara Ryan) - 101

19. Paul Leyden (Simon Frasier) - 97

20. Spencer Grammer (Dr. Lucy Montgomery) - 96

This is ATWT Top 20 and it's not very balanced at all, when your number 20 character is only on 96 days yet number one character is on 183 there is a problem. There is a 41 day difference from the number one character Will to the number 10 character Katie, that is just nuts. And while I am on a rant why the hell are Will and Gwen which are nothing more than supporting characters number one and two on the list.

I should have stated it better. We all [!@#$%^&*] about how repetitive ATWT is. (I figured out Paul Leyden was on between 66 and 72% of the episodes he was eligible to be on, depending on how you counted...LOL...can we say anal?) If they were handled better, maybe we wouldn't complain. I never hear Y&R fans complain Jack's on every day.

I'm not going to compare drop off rates on Y&R, but it can be misleading. Leyden and Grammer were only on half the year. If their counts had doubled, the show would probably be near 2.0. (Not exactly funny, but that's how mind-numbing their stories were. To me at least.)

Didn't Princess Jen lead the pack last year? Oy...the year of the baby switch. It had to be her.

Okay...I had to...

1. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)- 201

2. Nicolas Newman (Joshua Morrow)- 190

3. Phyllis Abbott (Michelle Stafford)- 186

4. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case)- 176

5. Brad Carlton (Don Diamont)- 160

6. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc)- 158

7. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)- 157

8. Gloria Abbott (Judith Chapman)- 156

9. Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John)- 155

10. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)- 146

11. Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell)- 137

12. Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei- 134

12. Colleen Carlton (Adrienne Leon)- 134

14. Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson)- 132

15. Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart)- 130

16. J.T Helstrom (Thad Luckinbill)- 126

17. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott)- 123

18. Lily Winters #1 (Davetta Sherwood)- 116

19. Devon Hamilton (Bryton McClure)- 96

20. Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman)- 93

Pretty darn similar. Which just means the handling of ATWT sucks.

Wow, I would have never thought of Y&R even being that unbalanced, thanks for doing that PJ, you are sure right if Simon and Lucy would have been on the whole year we would be near a 2.0.

I don't even really know how to describe my shock at how unbalanced Y&R is because when I watch it never seems that way, the only thing I can think of is that they mix there storylines alot more than ATWT, like where Jack is number one, but he also is either the lead or supporting character in several storylines which include different cast members in the storylines, unlike ATWT where Will and Gwen are in there own little story all year long with only having a few character support there storyline(Casey, Maddie, Iris, Jade) I think if ATWT just did a better job with integrating the whole cast into the storylines it would seem more balanced even though it really is not, somewhat like Y&R is, because like I said I have never felt Y&R is unbalanced yet it is.
