Awww. I loved him on Raymond, too. He never did get that Emmy for that role. Everyone else from that show got one except for him, which is a crying shame, becuase he deserved it. I do believe he has an Emmy for another role, though.

RIP Peter Boyle.

Very sad. He will never know how much millions and millions of people were able to laugh because of him.

( I believe he was 71 not 81 as the thread states)

He definitely made me HATE him (and I do mean haaaate) in "Monster's Ball," his character reminded me so much of certain members of my family. But that's all credit to the fact that he was a terrific actor.

RIP!

Oh how very sad! I grew to love him on Raymond, while I didn't at first...I did. I am glad that he got to ride off into the sunset with Raymond finale last year...so that's good!

He was robbed of a well deserved Emmy many times over!! Had he won an Emmy "ELR" would have been one of the only shows for the entire leading cast to win Emmys joining "The Golden Girls" and "Will & Grace"

Oh.My.God. My heart just sunk when I read this. He was terrific on ELR, even though he was always overlooked for an emmy, he truly did a brilliant job in the role. RIP Peter. :(:(
