ATWT Discussion Week of November 6

Looks like we will see several exes getting heated for one another....who will make moves on one another; who will walk away?

We will have more of the Dusty vs Craig drama, with Lucy and Johnny smack dab in the middle....

More of the teens to see....

Talk to you all about the good, the bad and the ugly of ATWT.

Skatie was HOT today!

I am glad Tom and Margo are getting more airtime and with conflict.

It used to be we would see them together every couple of weeks or so.

One would say"I love you sweetie" and the other would come back with "You too, honey" or something like that!

Holmes and Dolan can act and I am glad they are getting to prove it!

I thought Maura, Michael, Terri, and Paul all did a great job today...I was more into the Carly/Jack scenes though. But great acting.

Jeff Meek is finally growing on me. Lucy is still a bore. My god she is expressionless.

I'm glad Craig stood up to the twit he calls a daughter. Bringing up the kidnapping is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. I don't think there's any proof left of Craig's involvement. IIRC, Creel was shot by Craig at the belltower and the other goon was killed earlier in the story. Alan Drake is dead. Bobblehead Nikki Munson is nowhere to be found...

I agree with oakdalelover about Tom and Margo. I hope Tom's job with Craig brings some needed conflict between them. NO AFFAIRS PLEASE!

A good day for Carly/Jack and Simon/Katie. This is the first time in at LEAST 18 months where I haven't wanted to strangle Katie every time she was onscreen.

Boy, every time Lucy has a scene with "Daddy", she acts likes she's sixteen years old.

Oh...the Carjack angst. :( *Sigh* Boy, I got a feeling this is going to get messy.

Casey/Adam/Maddie

I'm glad they're using Adam but at the same time, ever since WTGH said something, my head has just been grating over the fact that Adam left for film school...and now he's a music producer

Tom/Margo/Craig/Lucy/Dusty

This whole sad, sad storyline is really getting on my nerves. I have heard the name "Johnny" and "Craig" so much in the past year that I could seriously gag. This is the most screen time that Dolan and Holdems have gotten in years...but I fear that it's all in light of the letter that Dolan issued a few months back, saying that she was thinking of not renewing her contract if TPTB didn't start featuring her more. As for Lucy, I wish Peyton List would return to daytime. Gah! Grammer is killin' me!!!

Simon/Katie

Perhaps the cheesiest rage/passion outbrust scenes I've ever witnessed. My love and respect for the character of Katie has totally diminished. Simon...just needs to go (like Katie said)...and never come back. But sadly, I have a feeling this fourth exit won't be Simon's last.

Carly/Jack

I'm sort of on the fence about this one. As much as I want Carly and Jack together again (it's been a looonnnggg time, baby!)...I also can't stand the fact that Jack only started vocalizing his need to reunite with Carly after she started gettin' cozy with Simon. Though I feel this whole Simon/Carly story is Carly just substituting her need for Jack back in her life with sex with Simon.

I hate how everyone just assumes Craig is going to do something wrong or something. Yes, he has a past, but so does most of the people in Oakdale. Is there really something wrong with the man wanting to spend time with his son?

 Oh you have no idea do you?!

The man is sick, twisted, manipulative, the epitomy of a drama queen, and the biggest con artist you'll ever find on the show. You would just have to have seen the damage he did last time he was in town..last played by Hunt Block. But here's an overview:

While I haven't been enjoying the Katie/Simon/Carly stuff much lately, the scenes of the two sets of exes were powerful. I wasn't watching Katie/Simon and Carly/Jack in their heydays, but you could feel the connections still between them today.

The Dusty/Craig showdown is okay, when it's not revolving around Lucy, Paul or Meg. Man, that baby has gotten bounced around more than a ball in the NBA.

It feels like they've only written half the dialogue in the Gwen/Adam story; now Adam only knows about Gwen and Casey's past, but he doesn't know that Jade lied about Will's baby? It's too 'Three's Company misunderstanding' level of writing...ugh.

I'm so glad Tom and Margo are finally getting some scenes, and I liked the ease in which Maddie inserted and removed herself from the moment -- it was very natural, like she is becoming a real member of the family instead of just a houseguest. And they finally acknowledged Adam and Maddie are both staying at the Hugheses!

Caught the last 30 seconds of Simon/Katie today and wow...I might just have to tune into ATWT tomorrow!

SKATIE is so HOT!!! Why has 18 months been wasted on Carly/Simon and Mike and Katie?

I was far more into the CarJack scenes than Skatie...I'm not investing in Katie and Simon simply because he's going to be history in a matter of months anyways; however, I loved that Carly told Jack exactly how he is with her.

The writers basically had Jack as Carly's judge, jury and executioner when it came to their marriage. Jack has known Carly for I don't know how long; he's known from the beginning that she schemes, lies, and manipulates to get what she wants; yet, he tells her he can't be with someone that he can't trust or can't change. It was good to have Carly repeat everything he said about their marriage.

I hope that they do slowly get back together;

I also loved the Margo and Tom scenes. It was LONG overdue. I can see right now, that Craig will be a major catalyst in the marriage of Tom and Margo. A part of me can actually see Tom going to a little dark side when it comes to representing Craig.

Oh, and why did I feel like I was watching a scene from The Outsiders (Matt Dillon's line came to mind) when Dusty said to Lucy. "Would you do it for Johnny?" All I could hear was Matt Dillon's character Dallas saying "Let's do it for Johnny!" I wish they would have never killed Jennifer off. I much rather see Jennifer fighting tooth and nail with Dusty to keep Craig at bay.

I can see that Adam is going to make everything a personal issue when it comes to Gwen. To me, all I can see is his ego being bruised because Gwen's not going to embrace and smile all up in Jade's face whenever she comes worming her way around Adam. He's only been back to Oakdale less than a week, and he's so twisted by Jade that he's suddenly questioning Will and Casey when it comes to Gwen. I don't see any sparks with him and Jade to begin with, so I won't be all that disappointed when she's out of his orbit.

The Carly/Jack scenes were great! I am glad Carly stood her ground. Poor Jack but he has no one to blame but himself. I was tearing up during their scenes.

I was never a Katie/Simon fan. But there scenes today were so fantastic!

I loved the dialogue in today's show for both Carly/Jack and Katie/Simon.

It was refreshing seeing Tom and Margo have their own issues to work out.

The teen scene was fine. I just felt it was filler stuff.
