GH Friday

Luke and Laura were great today. That kiss was sweet, I'd forgotten Tony had that in him with all the comedy he does now. I felt so sorry for Luke when Laura told him to put up the blanket. He looked so sad. Then when they were on opposite sides and he said he didn't have a soul without her. Then she took the blanket down and proposed.

Everything else was SSDD mostly.

When you have true professionals, it totally shows. I have FELT every scene with Laura since she came back. Actual genuine emotion from this pit called GH.

omg, i know!!! i began watching Gh in 2001 adn I HATED GENIE FRANCIS....but since her return I have grown to love her AND I MISSED LAURA. I REALLY wish they would just keep her, FOR GOODNESS SAKES!

I didn't care for it.

TG and GF are fantastic together but the scenes at BC were too saccharine. Plus it feels wrong that the most honest relationship Luke has right now is with Tracy, instead of Laura.

Great Luke and Laura scenes on this episode...I just love watching those two right now.

Everything else was eh - except for Tracey and Skye...LOL. Gotta love those two.

Oh and Laura Wright was looking FINE today.

I never thought of TG as a romantic lead, really, mainly because I never saw the early L&L stuff from 1980 (except recently on YouTube). But he and Genie blew me away on Friday. The love between Luke and Laura feels so real, so tender, that I have to wonder whether TG and GF aren't projecting themselves and any respect & affection they may have for each other IRL onto the characters.

I also like the inclusion of Tracy in their story, oddly. It's such a treat to see three powerhouse performers give us some real acting.

I cannot believe TIIC are planning to shuffle Genie off the show after a few weeks. Words cannot express my disappointment and dislike of the sh!ts supposedly in charge of this show.

I loved Friday's scenes. The dance, especially, got me; both Luke and Laura seemed, frankly, overwhelmed by the feelings they have for each other, and a little uncertain as to how to deal with that. That makes sense considering they've been apart for so long now and that Luke has even had relationships with other women. Like he said to Robert, he's terrified he'll fall back in love with her, but I think he already is. And while Laura seemed fine and strong out and about in town, her fragility during their dance and kiss showed that Luke really did see the cracks in her armor and he's right to think she needs some protecting right now.

Good stuff. Can't wait for today's show!
