Nice cliffhangers this week. I am finally interested in Anita's story. Next week looks exciting. Martin will get a moment. -
A bit of a lackluster Friday cliffhanger, but overall good show today. The previews are exciting - finally more Hayley and then Vanessa and Joey finally get it on!

I really liked the Anita/Tracy scenes today. Both powerful actresses. They made me *want* to know what the secret is.

date: Friday, May 23 | Gregori J. Martin, Jazmen Darnell Brown | Sonia Blangiardo-Goins Dana taking the hotel room luxuries (beauty products, robe) is too real; I admit, I've never done this, but I know plenty that have. Deadbeat trying to romance Bradley, who will continue to cockblock him (as he should). I appreciate the on-going dynamics with Anita and Tracy and how Tracy's continued feelings are built up. And just when I thought Shanice was mellowing out... the gossip is right back out. Good on Douglas for putting her in line. Oh, more history with Vernon! This is very exciting to me. Love this kind of storytelling. Uh-oh, Douglas is [finally] seeing what is being exactly sold by Joey to Vanessa... and I know he don't like it. Good on Ted for calling Dana out on [some] of the twisted lies she's been telling and the manipulation she's been pulling with Eva. And finally... someone is telling her one of the places her crazy ass is going: JAIL! Dang... Tracy's foot is firmly on Anita Williams' neck (not Anita Dupree), and she is not letting it up. I just realised... Dana's mirror is giving the Magic Mirror in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. And she's as delusional as the Evil Queen. Not Dana dressing herself up as Nicole; homegirl is certifiable and needs to seek counselling in a mental hospital immediately. I appreciate Vanessa calling out Ted; however, the continued call-outs at the Nurse's Hub at the hospital are a choice. Uh-oh, who else was caught in the decisions that Anita made way back when? Is it Dante Greene, too? Did someone have his baby? Tracy or Sharon? Or something else? Notes: Keith D. Robinson (Ted) continues to shine; his subtleties in the role are brilliant and do so much in providing Ted the much-needed humanisation he was missing. When are we going to cast Dante Greene? He keeps being named, and when a name drops, we're bound to see it. Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa) showed up to work today extra hard; I loved her conflicted emotion, given Vanessa's own actions in her marriage. -

Bish, you could never and I mean NEVA be Queen Nicole. @alwaysAMC She's been giving Janet for months now. -
The wig and wardrobe is on point, but her dialogue in the mirror didn't do it for me.
-
Leslie is giving me AMC's Janet Green vibes today, when she started pretending to be Nicole (like Janet did with Brooke, well and her sister Natalie of course haha, but more so Brooke in this case).
-
Usually I find Leslie's fantasies entertaining but this "Nicole 2.0" fantasy is just weird.

It was an odd fit, though she did liven up any scene she was in. I think she ended up leaving in December 1983. I actually think she would have fit in better on Guiding Light during the Lewis invasion in 1983/1984 (probably as a Wanda like character). -
