Yep Mike. I was SO Pro-Shuis until that horrid Antonio/Mental Hospital garbage. That was just the end for me. It was horrible and I pretty much ended my regular dose of Passions.

I think Mac's acting has gone down mostly because she's given crap for story and crap for dialogue. Back in 1999/2000 she was on fire because the material was new and she cared ...

And I have to say, I loved Kam as Sheridan. I really enjoyed her immensely. Even Mac liked her and said they should of casted her in another role! No offense to Mac, but Kam was such a breath of fresh air.

The reason for all the Kam love is simple-Kam actually gave it her all and tried. Her scenes had energy to them. No one said she was emmy-caliber but she did fit in well and her scenes never came off as boring and lacking energy like Mac's did before she left.

Having said that....Mac has been really good since coming back IMO. Just like Galen when he returned, she seems refreshed and seems to be trying and energized in her scenes. She is still not as good as her early days but she is better then she has been in awhile.

I am with Krypton though-that Antonio/mental hospital mess is where everything fell apart. Mac mentioned being exhausted after that story and she did have a real life miscarriage before the mental hospital scenes so I can understand why she would be. She played the pit story, had a real life miscarriage, and then played the mental hospital stuff with the electroshock treatments all back to back. I can't blame her for being tired. I also think the material and dialogue got so redundant that she starting phoning it in. When she got her memory back in 2004, the Shuis breakup after Beth took Marty, and her showdown with Al after the tsunami were the only times she seemed energized in her scenes until now. I like Mac I do and so far she is ok but I am hoping from more from her. As for Kam, at the very least cast her in another role. I would suggest Ivy and Julian's other daughter.

Now I will not be pro-Shuis until I see their magic again and I have not seen that in a long time. Luis/Fancy I see it in every scene so that is where it's at for me until proven otherwise.

I realize I'm late but I just now (finally) watched Monday's ep and MY GOD, thank you GOD! My Mac is BACK!! She was great and had the stage presence that I remembered. LOVED Sheridan's sassy new 'do, too.

For those of you in Canada - how was McKenzie in her scenes in today's episode (Friday)? I've read that her performance was really good.

Mac isn't the only good performer. damn, did the cast get a memo from NBC or did the Passions PTB tell everyone to finally step up their game and 'do their jobs?' James Hyde and Heidi Mueller BLEW ME OUT OF THE WATER. I was NOT expecting that. Wow.

I agree although I didn't think Hyde was that good but he was better then I thought he would be. Mueller was awesome. The acting and writing is much better this week. I hoped the show turned a corner I really do. MW has been good-not great-but good with what little she has had.
