Members DrewH Posted October 11, 2006 Members Share Posted October 11, 2006 I thought it would be a neat idea to really make the blog writers feel like their web soaps are like the real soap operas on TV. To do that, I came up with a way to track down the views of each soap. It's going to be like the SON version of the Neilson Ratings. The current soaps on air right now that will be documented are as followed: King Reilly's Blog The World of Oakdale Life in Salem Salem Lives Port Charles Hospital Our Days in Salem Life in Oakdale Moments of Existance The Island The Light The way the ratings will work is like this: this Sunday, I will mark down what the ratings for each web soap at Midnight, Monday morning (Sunday night, whatever). Then, the following week, the following Sunday, I will mark down teh total views that Sunday night at 11:59. Then, after all ratings for individual web soaps are tallied, I will then add up the total views and then individual divide each soap's ratings by the total ratings to get the average. That is the number that will be recorded. I hope you all don't mind. This truly makes things more realistic.
