September 8, 200619 yr Member AMC only had 43,000 more total viewer's than GL. GL is very close to overtaking AMC or One Life. AMC was 3rd place in teens. I'm sure Frons is happy about that!

September 8, 200619 yr Member so while the three ABC shows have tied or achieved historic lows, would this be a good time to start a letter writing campaign to Frons's boss(es) at ABC? And if so, who do we write to? He's been a cancer on their daytime lineup, and even if they fire him now it will take years to undo the damage he's done. But that's still better than nothing
September 8, 200619 yr Member Unfortunately though, AMC has had more total viewers all summer as compared to last summer -- which I'm sure Frons will highlight.
September 8, 200619 yr Member Unfortunately though, AMC has had more total viewers all summer as compared to last summer -- which I'm sure Frons will highlight. Last year countless people were displaced and without utilities by Huricane Katrina so there should be no comparison between summers.
September 8, 200619 yr Member Yay for AMC hitting an all-time low! If this is what it takes for ABC to wake up and fire Frons, I hope all 3 ABC soaps fall below GL next week and continue dropping.
September 9, 200619 yr Member I never though we would see the day when Passions was less that one point away from GL, AMC, OLTL & GH
September 9, 200619 yr Member And ABC soaps hitting lows again, it's a GOOD SIGN that this is happening. Things are happening backstage at ABC daytime. It's only a matter of time better Frons makes his move and makes things official. What is he waiting on Passions to pass OLTL or AMC? He's talking about the need for more viewers and yet it gets worse each week.
September 9, 200619 yr Member Maybe ABC wants out of the soap industry so they continue to employ writters who trash the shows the viewers used to love. I guess the actors will just have to learn to dance so they can replace soaps with dancing with the soap stars full time all the time.
September 9, 200619 yr Member Could someone please tell AMC to stop the way they are currently filming. I used to watch AMC at least 3 or 4 times a week. Now, I can't stomach watching more than 15 minutes before I get a headache from the shaky camera work. I can't be the only one who feels this way.

September 9, 200619 yr Member Honestly, the camera is not as shakey as it was when they first started.
September 9, 200619 yr Member I think what Hogan Sheffer said in his interview is true: DAYS is the only soap that still has lapsed viewers out there just waiting for it to get good again. It seems all the other soap viewers have given up on their respective shows, but if something were to turn around (which it soon will) on DAYS, the audience would come back. As for GL, if only they could've beat AMC and/or OLTL just this one week! Josh & Reva's ITL last week was the highest rated show of the week (2.4) as well it should be because the confrontation between the two was gripping drama and the on-location shots of them on the ship were beautiful. I really wish GL had something up their sleeve though, because it seems the show is just treading water, creatively speaking. The success or failure of the show can't rely on Reva's cancer story. If only they'd get rid of useless people like Frank and Ava, they could afford to pay Grant Aleksander to act and direct. If he can direct at ATWT, then why not back at GL?
