well if the criteria for her fave character's is airtime than certainly zach is one of them since he's on almost every day and very much front & center.

Nah I don't go by airtime, cause JR gets airtime, but I don't think she even likes him, but JY is so popular.

It was already said in this thread, that just because she created Zach doesn't mean she likes him. The writing for him and JR seem to be the most inconsistent of any character besides Ryan and Babe

Greenlee is another character who got alot of airtime under Megan but I'm not convinced she liked her. Megan inherited Greenlee as a star on the show, she had no choice really but to have her front and centre. She just wrote her so horribly, removing Greenlee's fire, to convince Rebecca Budig to leave and then problem solved (my speculation of course).

I honestly can't figure out if Megan likes Zach or not. I AM convinced her priority is Ryan and she'll screw Zach in any way possible to boost up Ryan.

Since TK spoke out against the writing I'm sure he's gone down a few notches on like-dislike scale. She tends to take it personally. Lets not forget Rebecca Budig spoke out against McT's writing for her at Guiding Light. I don't think Megan ever forgot about it.

I completely agree!

McTrash's favs:

Ryan=Abusive con man

Dixie=homewrecking skank

Babe=baby stealing skank

Speaks volumes to me :blink:

Kendall was McTavish's creation... of course she loves her. Its just the characters she loves end up suffering the most i.e Babe, Kendall, Ryan. Many fans get so turned off by those characters due to her "love" to write for them. Like I said before its better that she hates ya and your on the backburner, that way your character won't suffer the destruction many of her faves have.

Kendall was McTavish's creation? That I didn't know

Yeah - when SMG first began playing her back in the early 90's....

Which is another reason why so many people say she re-writes her stories from the past...bc pretty much Josh's arrival (Colin E.) was the same as Kendal's - she was working for her mom and tried to destroy her. It's just Kendall knew and Josh didn't....but still kinda similar.

Kendall was most definately Megan's brainchild. Her first story in a long list that proves she is a revisionist. That one IMO worked out very well and was one of the best soap rewrites ever! She should have stopped there.

Megan was HW from 1992-1995, 1997-1999 and 2003-2006 (hopefully) :D

Yep. And 1992-1995 was AMAZING. 1997-1999 SUCKED (minus Brooke/Jim stuff). 2003-2006 has been a mixed bag...but most of the stuff from this period is a rehash of her 1992-1996 stuff which won so much praise and put the soap on top. But this go-around people aren't buying it I guess...

The difference is between 2003-2006 and 1992-1995 is the people who were keeping her in check.

Right now its basically Frons :blink:

1992-1995 was Agnes Nixon and an EP who actually had power, Felicia Behr.....

So its pretty easy to see why 1992-1995 was held with so much praise.

In my opinon Megan seems to work on a two female lead basis. She did it with Alicia and Eden in the years of 03' and 04' and then she used Alicia and Rebecca as her leading females for 05' now I think she is using Alicia and Alexa since both Eden and Rebecca left and were gone. I have a feeling that Next year (if Eden stays) Bianca will be her favorite and she will have her headlining along with Kendell. The same way she had them back in 03' and 04'.

As far as Megan favoring her favorites. I still maintain my post from before. Megan will destroy any one or anything as long as it gives her a storyline that she thinks will be controversial. She has done it with Babe, Ryan, Kendell, Zach, Dixie, Jon ect. and these are her supposed favorites.

I do think Megan likes Jacob. Seeing as she always writes for him and if she really wanted to i feel she could easily write him out however she doesn't this makes me think that he is supposed to be a villian however Megan doesn't know when enough is enough with villians. She made Janet blow up an entire building filled with people and numerous people died because of it. She did it with Jon as well making him murder 3 people one of which was a fan favorite Edmund. She has these characters do henious crimes and then writes there crimes off. JR almost killing people and saying sorry just doesn't work anymore for me.

I do think that Megan likes Zach as well. He seems to be involved with Dixie. One of her favorite characters.

I really don't believe Zach interacting with Dixie means McTrash likes him.

Megan also wrote in 1991 (Janet Green stuff) along with Lorraine Broderick. This was when Agnes Nixon was gone because her husband had cancer and was dying (I think). Then Broderick left AMC for GL in 1992, and McT was made the sole HW. But as was said above, we had a wonderful EP in Felicia Behr back then. We need someone like her - someone that has vision and isn't a pushover.

I have to say that it always seemed to me that Greenlee - and Ryan - were destroyed unintentionally because Mctavish didn't realize how fans would react to their horrible treatment of Kendall. The whole Rylee story is the reason I have doubts about how Mctavish really feels about Kendall. How could Mctavish expect people to accept Rylee as a couple when she brought them together in the most hurtful way possible for Kendall, unless Mctavish didn't really like Kendall, and didn't realize how many fans did like her?

I was actually looking over some recaps from 2004, and it just boggles my mind how the story went down.

We had Ryan making comments about leaving Greenlee in bed to come to court and help Kendall, as well as accusing her of doing something to Greenlee when she was missing, and he wonders why she doesn't trust him.

Then he disapears, and when he comes back Kendall's niece has apparantly died, and her mother is missing. And Ryan starts making demands about how she acts, insisting that she immediately forgive the person who nearly sent her to jail, and when she doesn't he goes and marries that person.

I'm not saying that Ryan should have enabled her to held onto the anger, but to do the absolute worst thing he could do to her? And he lashed out at her as he did it, telling her to dance off a cliff. How could anyone bring up anything that sounds like suicide to a person who they know is consumed with grief and pain like Kendall was?

And then there was Ryan, and everyone else on the show, seemingly thinking that it was perfectly acceptable for Ryan to walk back into Kendall's life whenever he wants, and she is supposed to welcome him with open arms, even though he married another woman? And Kendall is the horrible one for giving him a taste of his own medicine?

Through all this it seemed that Rylee were meant to be the show's golden couple. I don't know how that was supposed to work, unless Mctavish assumed fans wouldn't care about Kendall's pain. And I'm skeptical about the idea that Mctavish intentonally destroyed Greenlee, because she and Ryan were really decimated together, and I definitely don't believe that she meant to destroy Ryan.
