The character is such dead air, and lacks any charisma or appeal IMHO. Atleast Paul was interesting in his younger days. JT is just dull and just makes others around him suffer. Please TPTB ship off JT to Norfolk with Lynn, Marie, Esther, Miguel and the rest of the forgotten gang.

I kinda like Thad, but I agree, the character is more or less useless now.

I think he is expendable.

He doesn't click for me with Colleen. I didn't like him with Mac either.

I am so glad that singing career storyline didn't go anywhere and doubly glad he doesn't sing on the show anymore!

I liked him when I started watching last year but hated him once he cheated on Mac. I like Colleen but hate her when around him. He has no ties so I just say drop him

I always prefered Raul over JT. He was hotter, more interesting and a better actor. I can't say I see Thad's appeal.

I agree; I miss David Lago as Raul.

Thad isn't that bad of an actor, but JT is just so boring. At least when he was the token "[!@#$%^&*]" among the teen set he had some purpose and was somewaht entertaining; now he's not. I do somewhat like the dynamic between he and Paul, but meh ... if he left tomorrow I probably wouldn't even notice.

I'd prefer to see Christine taking JT's place. She's not a PI, but they do work together now and instead of JT he could take her on. Would be more interesting pairing for Paul.

JT should have died accidentally in the nazi storyline and his death could have been blamed on Brad. This would cause tension between Brad and Colleen as well as Brad and Victoria (him "killing" her lover).

Thad is a good actor yes. And when you had the original teen gang around he was the bad teen/young adult ,the weasel. that Greg Rikaart's Kevin now portrays. When the original group left ,the show got lucky and he matched up well with the first Colleen, Lyndsy Fonseca. When she left the bottom dropped out of the JT/Colleen storyline. I believe that Thad wanted to move on to better things the way Lyndsy Fonseca has and though he matches up well with Adrianne Leon, her Colleen is way different than LF's Colleen and the writing for storyline of JT and Colleen is much more different too. Jack Smith developed JT and Colleen quite well. LML not so much so.

If he got a primetime gig, I would wish Thad all the best, and I thnk they would have JT leave Genoa City in the same wayy, Raul,Mac,Britanny and Rianna have. Not to be seen for a while.

I'm not that big of a fan of J.T. however, I don't dislike seeing him on every now and then.

I think pairing JT with Colleen was the worst thing they could have done to the character. I never liked the pairing and it turned JT into a typical teen stud. He was introduced to the show as a manipulate a--hole who reeked of trouble and I thought Thad did a great job with that role. I really enjoyed JT's growing friendship and later crush on Ashley Bashioum's Mac but they dropped that for what was already becoming a tired Billy & Mac pairing (I did like them in the very beginning). They tried revisiting the Mac/JT dynamic when AB came back but the writing was so inconsistent and awful.

All in all, I think TPTB blew it. JT could have been a really good character but was reduced to an average nobody.

i went to a Tim McGraw and Faith Hill concert last night at Staples Center in LA..and i saw Thad there..well i either saw Thad or his twin brother..Regardless he looked hot..

and its funny, i went to a George Straight concert a few years ago at the same place, and saw him as well..Really random..

I disagree because Devon still has potential, but is hardly ever used. TPTB refuse to write for him, or atleast make him interesting. Whereas JT has been in so many frontburner storylines and came up short. The last time I liked JT was when he rescued Colleen from the fire at Gina's. And that was 3 years ago?!?!?

Furthermore look at all the characters we lost who interacted with JT; Raul, Brittany, Mac, Colleen(but she's back), the Hodges(BIG mistake IMO, Mitzi was a delight and having Jill going after Anita's husband Frederick would have been GREAT. UGH!)

I think the answer is obvious: pair Devon up with Colleen and move JT into the Winters apartment so that he could learn what attitude is all about. lol

If JT spent one day with the Winters, I'm sure he'd ship up and get a little interesting. Dru could smack him upside the head, Lily could shout at him, and Neil could wag his finger at him and tell him to get his butt back in college and get a real job at NE.

The problem with JT and Devon is that both characters need to change their environments.

I have been wondering for years now what this whitewashed, propped-up, insipid bore of a character is still doing on my TV screen. I can only imagine that the answer lies somewhere in his ability to remove his shirt and look cute on cue.

Why else would they keep a character with absolutely no familial ties to anybody else on the show?

Why else would they keep firing actors like David Lago in order to make way for more SL for JT?

TPTB are unable to elicit any kind of chemistry from him. This failure to pair JT up has led Y&R to dump real talent like Alexis Thorpe, Mitzi Kapture, Lindsay Fonseca, Ashley Bashioum, Rachel McKinsey and Lauren Woodland. Could Adrianne Leon be next?

Dull actor, dull character. Perhaps he'll shine on Nip/Tuck or a totally different part on Primetime. But as far as Y&R is concerned, I'm tired of the incessant propping and the number of characters who have been sacrificed at the altar of JT. Cut him loose, I say.
