There was a time when this happened like every week. LOL. But no one has started them in a while......

So go to town and make up your fantasy press releases for your show.

Or don't. LOL.

GL Headwriter Demoted!

New Guiding Light executive producer Robert Calhoun has demoted [headwriter] David Kreizman. Kreizman has been with the show since 1994 when he began as a Production Assistant. In 2004, he became Guiding Light's headwriter. Effective immediately, David Kreizman will remain with the show as a studio janitor. "We thank David for his loyal service to the show. We wish him well on his future endevours," said Calhoun in a statement.

Message boards all over the internet community were abuzz with the big news. "Thank God that that hack is gone," said one fan. Another remarked that "David Kreizman couldn't write an obituary."

"I was delighted to work with Dave. He had tremendous energy," said former Executive in Charge of Production Mary Alice Dwyber-Dobbin.

No replacement has been named. Although setside reports have former headwriters Nancy Curlee and Stephen Demorest returning.

Kreizman cannot write storylines worth a damn let alone clean up the messes he makes

'DAYS' Former Headwriter Passes Away

The former headwriter of Days of our Lives, James E. Reilly, has suddenly suffered a heart attack late last night. He was rushed to the nearby hospital in an ambulance. Although once he arrived, he passed away. "We don't know what the cause of this unfortunate event is, but our cast, crew and I express our full condolenses to this great man and his family," says DAYS Executive Producer Ken Corday in a statement. "We are all deeply saddened. He made Days of our Lives what it is today."

The soap writer has written for Days of our Lives before. His first tenure was from 1992-1997 and then returned to the show for a three-year stint, from 2003-2006.

James E. Reilly has also been the headwriter for NBC's other soap opera, Passions. He created the soap back in 1999 and has been headwriter ever since. The show will definitely need to find a replacement headwriter and consulting producer. We will have a press release once that information becomes available.

No replacement has been named, however Lynn Marie Latham, current headwriter for The Young and the Restless, has been one of the names mentioned by setside sources.

This is all for fun, everyone. I don't have anything against JER personally, but I hate his writing skills. :P

KR, were you being sarcastic? Because if you find it to awful, I can delete it. I just wasn't sure. It's my first time doing this.

LOL! No. I mean if it's your fantasy!

Lol. Okay, good. And again, I have nothing against JER personally, for the record.

Wow...the JER one actually seemed surreal while reading it. I actually got emotional thinking about what would happen if that were to happen for real. JER's second run was not very good but I still love the man for his first reign and the SSK so I guess that is why I got so emotional about it.

This is a fun thread :) .

Lol. Okay, good. And again, I have nothing against JER personally, for the record.

Your fine...it is understood this is all for fun :) .

BIG CHANGES AT GUIDING LIGHT

Daytime's longest running sudser has been renewed for another three year cycle.Tension on the set has been eased with the news. In the new agreement,CBS has hammered out deals with all of their affiliates to carry the show at the 3:00PM/2:00PM time slot.

Laurence Caso,a former EP with As the World Turns has been asked to take over the show. Real life couple Nancy Curlee and Stephen Demorest have been hired to return as Headwriters. They will be joined again by Lorraine Broderick. Most critics agree that their previous stint was the golden years of the show. Until the new team can take their place,P&G have coaxed the legendary Jerome and Bridget Dobson to serve as interim Headwriters. Caso says that they have been brought in to clean up the mess of the "previous regime." The Dobsons were asked to take over the show outright but they are enjoying their retirement too much to go back in to the daily grind on a daily basis.Caso did say that thy have agreed to consult with the new team when they get started.

Former Executive Producer Ellen Wheeler and HW David Kreizman were spotted at the Passions office meeting with Lisa DeCozette and James E.Reilly. The meeting didn't go well. An insider said that Reilly and DeCozette said that the ideas Wheeler and Kreizman brought forth were weird ,strange and outlandish and wouldn't fit on their show.

I am not sure I like the one about JER dying. Seems too weird.

My fantasy one at this point is:

Nichols & Evans next victims of budget cuts at Days.

Corday is saddened to announce that he is having to cut recent returnees, Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans. When we hired them we just never thought that these budget cuts would be so harsh. We wish Stephen and Mary Beth the best in their next venture.

LMAO. That would only be funny to me because everyone would be singing the same tune I was yesterday.
