Oh, snap! Point of view! I was thinking too locally, what the show should be thinking. YES, by God, it is an example to ABC & to Disney that their soap is worth more than they have realized. Good point, Errol.

I don't know, Errol, my two big takeaways are that they need to appreciate the fans, all of the fans, all the time, everywhere. And, #2 that nothing is more important than show history. But, that's just me.

GH: 60 Years of Stars & Storytelling
It's funny. Here we are celebrating the longest scripted show in television history, 60 years for GH, and it was almost canceled 3 separate times! In 1979 & Douglas Marland & Gloria Monty saved it. In 2012 when Brian Frons announced the cancelations of AMC & OLTL he was all set to cancel all 3, the whole ABC soap line-up & he didn't because he was fond of Jill & of Guza. In 2014 when Frank & Ron saved the show & part of that was by keeping the veterans & using them in story that made sense for their characters!

I have a book on women in television where Irna Phillips has a whole chapter & they misspell Procter & Gamble about 2 dozen times!!!! 🤔😳😉 Hey, it happens! And, with typos, we are never safe! ARGH. Thank you for being a good sport about the proofreader's habit! BTW, Frank & Doris Hursley were just appalling if you ask me in their treatment of one of their children, Bridget. She first wrote GH for them & under them & they were always disparaging of her talent. Her father told her she would never get a job in daytime working for anyone but them. She was so surprised when P&G indicated that they'd just been waiting for her to get ready to have her own HW job!!

Oh, dear god, I hope not. But, I am cynical enough to consider the possibility.

Really? You're serious, not kidding? There is no way Ingo will ever be rehired. You are aware of the lawsuit he brought against them? And, his many OTT comments about them? No, Ingo absolutely made his bed & he will have to sleep in it forever. Joss is effectively half-orphan. This is an excellent example because the way that Burton handled things compared to the way Ingo did, makes all the difference if you want to have a future relationship with a company that you are leaving. Burton was basically diplomatic & a statesman & Ingo was an outspoken critic & with his lawsuit, fugettaboutit! I did not know this! Thank you, once again, for your curiosity, research & then sharing it with us. I share your sense of curiosity & I love doing research & I greatly appreciate it in you.

It wasn't that the Dobsons were replaced by Marland. The Dobsons were very happy at GL. ATWT was not doing well in ratings, etc. so P&G asked the Dobsons to switch with Marland & them HW ATWT instead. They didn't want to but they felt they had no choice. So you see you have it turned around. BTW, and this is something that will be of use to you & that is the spelling of Procter, it's with an E at the end, not an O.

Congratulations to Frank Valentini for a good primetime special & a shoutout to Shawn Reeves for everyone looking so good. I think my favorite outfit was Rena Sofer's. I don't know what time Hulu loaded the show but when I got up at 5 it was on. It's funny but it seems like its Sweeps. I guess that's because there's so much going on. With the wonderful build-up to Jackie Zeman's memorial & the SEC story finally coming to a head & then the primetime special. Since we already had all those fabulous clothes & a special big show back in April when the anniversary actually was it's like double your pleasure having it again.

I just kinda have a feeling that Drewfus might be seeing an exit soon. Basically the whole GH world is in an uproar over his speech to Nina which was his expressing his frustration that he couldn't fight her because she's a woman, because he wouldn't hit a woman. Me, it didn't bother me. I find it to be a very real relatable feeling. Of course, it's a good thing that he has values that would prevent him from doing physical violence to a woman & there's no reason it's not also a good thing for him to express that.
