  1. Very true. I believe I've read that LW prefers it short herself.
  2. Franco was the opening screen for way too long. I'm glad they are changing it more often. Anna, yes, she'll do fine. But, I still hope they go with changing it pretty often.
  3. “Helen Gallagher was witty, gritty, and wise as well as remarkably talented,” Mulgrew told Soaps In Depth of her TV mother, “but there is no woman on Earth who could have been kinder or more generous to a young rookie straight out of Iowa. She was a theatrical mother unparalleled. I loved her. May she rest in peace.” From https://www.soapsindepth.com/posts/abc/exclusive-kate-mulgrew-remembers-helen-gallagher
  4. Is there an echo in here? Is there an echo in here?
  5. This is also the way I see it. He never used to have a problem. I suspect his new found practices are basically being supportive of his scene partner. While that in itself is admirable, I just think you either are or are not going to do romantic, intimate scenes. Halfway never seems to cut it.
  6. Early DAYS Recaps 11-24-65 Intro is the same but there's both audio & visual clutter which obscures part of it. 20:47 After the intro good quality throughout. A slight hum. A slight pinkish hue. B&W. Cast: Tom, Marie, Alice, Julie, Tony, Craig In Salem, at the Horton's. Morning. Tom brings morning coffee to Marie. They talk about his not wanting to give up his only remaining daughter whose wedding is on Saturday. They talk about some guy named Rick who broke her heart. Tom tries to suggest she might not be as happy as she is right now if she hadn't gone through that. Marie seems dubious. She changes the subject to her fella, Tony. Tom teases her that she still has pin curls in her hair & he doesn't want to see that & neither would Tony. At the bridal photographer's studio. Marie is in a bridal gown. Alice & Julie are spectators. The photographer gets his picture then asks to get one more, just in case. Julie asks Marie when Tony will get his picture made & she replies Saturday before the ceremony. Back at the Horton's. Alice & Marie are pre-packing clothes for their short, planned honeymoon. Marie tries to get Alice to talk about her wedding & honeymoon, but Alice doesn't want to say. In Salem, but now moved to Craig's house. He comes in & Tony's already there. Craig asks Tony if he's thought things over as he asked him to. Tony says he's calling off the wedding, which means, no, he didn't think things over. Craig again says he has no reason for doing this. Tony says he is not ready for the responsibility that goes along with it & that Marie will be glad he did so in the long run. Craig asks what his friend Jim thinks. Tony says that Jim came with him to Salem because he thought Tony would come to his senses, change his mind. But he won't. It's the best way out. It's what he has to do. Craig predicts he will regret this for the rest of his life. At the Horton's Tom is reading the paper & Alice is looking at something she's holding & talking about children in Christmas pageants. Tom reminisces that Mickey at 5 years old, came home & told them they were doing a Christmas play & he was to be one of the 3 "wise guys". They laugh & then say how they are grateful for so much but don't specify what. Full closing credits.
  7. I agree with everything said here. Special emphasis: Finally, we get to see real Lucky!! Plus, I continue to love James, all out of any reasonable perspective for a soap kid.
  8. Since you have me on Ignore you of course will be unaware of this but, (1) no announcement & (2) speculation. 🤷‍♀️ Pretty common.
  9. Just for me, I wasn't thinking of any respect for classic/defunct soaps. Just thinking of available, cheap & also topical.
  10. No, they wouldn't have them. If they wanted to use them, they'd have to turn to P&G, involved in BTG, and try to gain those rights for a one-time rebroadcast. And, it is apropos.
  11. Great idea! Carla Mosley can be found in clips from both GL and B&B.
  12. I asked this of Bing CoPilot (a chat type AI) & they indicated nothing announced yet but speculation that it would be encore episodes of 3 shows - "The Talk" itself, "Y&R" and "B&B". I would suggest what you do & specify: ATWT when Holden first jumps down out of the barn loft & meets Lily & Dusty ATWT Iva runs in screaming with pitchfork GL Nola & Vanessa in the same formal ball gown GL homage to Irna Phillips GL 1st Jeva wedding, Cross Creek
  13. I have a real problem with some Kristina haters in one way. Suddenly we'll have a day when Krissy does not say "Adela" or "my baby" and while I'm all excited, they're pointing out how this is just her trying to manipulate things. She literally cannot win with them. If Kristina commented on how blue the sky was, they'd come back with: There she goes, trying to gaslight us into thinking a color palate applies to the sky. The day she gave Molly a pep talk about their "side" in the upcoming trial, those folks say she was manipulating Molly into supporting her POV, rather than her knowing Molly has some blame for Ava. Which is the crux of the matter & this should not be a matter of criminal court. Shared responsibility is key but that's not at all soapy, so in that sense we get what we deserve. Ava did reach out & grab Kristina. What most likely happened is that Kristina pulled back forcefully from Ava's touch & that was the beginning of the dramatic fall.
  14. I was trying to think of what soaps began so that I could theoretically have watched all episodes. Generations, Santa Barbara, The City, PC, Sunset Beach, GH: Night Shift & Passions. So, how did I do? Watched every single episode: Generations, The City, PC. That's it. Santa Barbara would have been impossible. My affiliate didn't even carry all of its seasons. Sunset Beach began with 1st day but not enough interest to continue. Passions, you don't even want me to get started. GH: Night Shift, no idea, maybe just not on my radar yet. Now, I am so looking forward to BEYOND THE GATES! From Day one, forward!
  15. I am personally unaware of any fan anywhere who thinks Laura gave those permissions. Or are you speaking of the people in authority at the facility? They are just being duped. We have no idea what lengths Cyrus may have gone to, to create this guardianship he is maintaining that he has, when we know for certain he does not. Forged documents, most likely.
  16. At this moment in time Molly blames Ava, so if he is defending Molly it must be some kind of "what's good for her" rather than what she is saying.
  17. I'm conducting the same poll several different places. It's very simple. What do you think of Kristina, the 2023-2024 version, as written last year & this year, played by Kate Mansi, previously paired with Blaze. Your choices are 1 Love her 2 Hate her 3 Don't care 4 Like not love 5 Love to hate I realize polls are not a thing here. I promise not to make a habit of it. Thanks!
  18. The YouTube channel RETROLOVERS70S80S now has 10 episodes of this show up, plus several "shorts" - Linda Gray, Jessica Walter, more. https://www.youtube.com/@mmcost
  19. I'm also thinking about when he saw her in the hospital bed, hooked up to lots of tubes & very possibly she could've been jaundiced so even her current skin tone wouldn't give her away! I believe we are on to something here. I have realized the problem with Laura may be nothing but how puny Genie's minimums or guarantees are. If it's that, I do not want to know because it will make me mad all over again.
  20. I think the way they've been handling Monica/LC's absence just needs to continue.
  21. I'm so pleased. I thoroughly enjoyed today's show. That's twice in a month.
  22. Yep, seeing just now. Thanks, John. And, thanks for the tag.
  23. Which I asked yesterday. Still don't know but I think it was. What I'm now trying to figure out is if that was Halloween, IOW after 5:48, Sam's death or if it was after the funeral.
  24. https://bsky.app/profile/hotvannanights.bsky.social/post/3lbutsdq55k2v I really have no problem, at all, with Cody not recognizing Nulu. It was night, she had that hood pulled way forward shading her face & she kinda half turned away from him, how was he supposed to get a good look at her? Nulu on the run & Cody for OG Good Guy!
