GH: December 2024 Discussion Thread
Not just violin boy, also, wasn't he orphaned at 10? No father, at least not known, not suggesting anything unusual to his conception. Then his mother up & dies. I presume he had not grandparents or aunts or uncles who could take him in, so Sonny stepped up. It's true I can't stand the guy but he has this reputation of being the mobster with the heart of gold. I have to stop this immediately before I throw up.

All -Actors who shared scenes on different soaps
Yes, they did, on AW & on GH. It worked, seamlessly. See photo. Of course, we have the less than stellar examples of Stephen Nichols & Mary Beth Evans, first on DAYS & there again now, Steve/Patch & Kayla Brady Johnson, in between both on GH as Stefan Cassadine & Katherine Bell. Beth Elers & Ricky-Paull Goldin first as Harley & Gus on GL then later on AMC as Jake Martin & Taylor, also not an exemplary example. Vincent Irizarry & Signy Coleman worked together on Santa Barbara & then later they were both on GL but I'm not at all sure their times there overlapped. Probably did not. Scratch them.

But, with Peacock, the show does not 'run short'. Peacock takes the episodes from them, whatever length they happen to be. That's why there's been so much variation in how long the show ran. I think the longest was 52 minutes. This was one of the first things one of the directors was so excited about. He said it dramatically increased their ability to be creative.

GH: December 2024 Discussion Thread
I have a feeling that the number of fans Natalia has is a negative number. I think she's as unpopular as Laurel was on AMC & that is saying quite a lot. I felt good about JJ's tenure as Lucky now beginning with his getting outraged over Cyrus interfering with Lulu's care & I haven't stopped yet. I thought he & Alexa were better than average together. At first I was shocked he was in cuffs but then delighted. Serves him right! Totally there for the Jarly scene with Danny. He needed someone to talk to about feeling jealous of his bro' & Carly is a perfect choice. So is Jason, of course, that goes without saying. I think Jason is sizing up to be a fine dad. I was pleased that Molly told him her whole opinion & not just that he succeeded in making her think it was a tragic accident, which is in fact what it was. Even though Ava did grab Kristina's arm, there was no ill intent behind it. I got a kick out of her wanting to know how far down the list she is!! You, me, every one I know who watches GH cannot figure out how long we're going to have to put up with Natalia taking up space on the Port Charles canvas. TJ wouldn't seem to be in danger of dying. Grief, anger, bitterness, yes, but those are not known to be fatal! 😉🤣😇 Moving on to today the Laura/Lulu moment was so precious & special. Also loved, "Uh, who is Ace?" and how upset NuLulu is still about Luke/Dad & how Spencer's news hit her. I guess Carly will end up telling her about Bobbie. Now anticipating NuLulu's scenes with Maxie & with Tracy.

Well, respectfully, I totally & completely disagree as to Melissa Reeves. Quite honestly, there are SO many DAYS fans that do not want to see her - at all, ever again. Maybe you've not seen fans talking about it but I have. Some fans are hesitant to speak up about it, some places. Her continued presence in any regular fashion could cost the show long-time fans. Barring some change on her part: a come to Jesus moment, a mea culpa, an apology, etc. that is not going to be a situation that will improve, period. The people who are bothered by her are gritting their teeth to get through this week when she's on screen. But, as to your overall idea about characters we know & love & show history before 1995 & the others you list, plus please Peter Reckell for sure & occasional visits from Christie Clark!!! YES, great idea.

Lucky being the one to break so much bad news worked out perfectly. Best Scenes from JJ yet. And, Alexa is hitting home run after home run. She seems to belong. She is comfortable with people she should be easy with. Both she & Van Hansis are so professional & talented but they are addressing themselves to fitting in & it works like a charm. Also agree in general about Carly, Jason & Danny. Molly & Ric delivered. He got what he wanted but she doesn't like it, so that's fair.

If they wrote to what they had, sure, you're correct. But, if they wrote what they wanted to write without regard to what clips were available to them, it would make sense to their way of thinking. @JAS0N47Is there anything known conclusively about this one flashback? Was the new actor playing Doug or his new Doug the third character? Thanks!

11-25-65 Intro same, still star billing 20:54 Quality is about par for most of these early 65 episodes. This one has a slight reddish tint. Not distracting. Cast: Marie, Alice, Tom, Craig, Tony, the wife of a patient on the phone with Tom Locations: Salem, Hortons, different rooms Tom, Marie & Alice are in the dining room. Marie has on her wedding dress. Alice is taking measurements & pinning several spots. (They are cutting it close. The wedding is tomorrow, Saturday.) Alice says she's done & to go change clothes quickly because Mickey is picking them up & taking them out to supper somewhere, it's a surprise where. Marie leaves, Doorbell. Tom puts down his paper & goes to the door. He returns with 2 corsages, gardenias, one for Alice & one for Marie. Mickey's anxious to take everyone out to eat at some surprise place where he's made a reservation. He says they're going to be late! Alice claims to have chores to finish. Tom pins a corsage on Marie's left lapel of her suit jacket. Mickey asks if she's taking this doll with her when she & Tony are married & leave for Boston? Marie quips that no, she was planning on that particular doll going to Mickey's bachelor pad. They have a conversation about redoing this bedroom as a bedroom for Julie. They crack jokes about the pictures they had up in their bedrooms when they were younger. Tony arrives. Alice lets him in. Tony asks if he could have a few moments alone with Marie before .... He says he needs to speak with her. Tom gets a phone call from a patient's wife who has an ulcer. Alice shows him into what I think is the study. He waits. Vrey quickly Marie arrives & comes barreling into the room, so happy to see him. They embrace. He says, "You look lovely." She says, "I love you." They kiss, for a while. Then, she thinks he has an engagement ring for her. But, he doesn't, and says he's sorry but he couldn't get the ring. Then he says he doesn't have time to go out with them tonight because he's got a reservation set & he's flying back to Boston tonight. Immediately. She asks why, is it because of the fellowship. He says no, but that he did get the fellowship. She is so excited for him & thanks him for bringing such good news to her. He asks her to please listen to him. She says he can't fly back to Boston tonight because we're getting married tomorrow. He says he can't take her to Boston with him. She asks why not? He says he now knows he's not ready for the responsibility & it's a good thing he figured this out now instead of later. She says he can't be serious! He says he just can't. She says it's very late to announce a postponement. He says he's not talking about a postponement, that he can't ever marry her. She says something is wrong about this conversation. You're not being honest with me. Don't you love me? He says not to even ask that question, that it's a silly question. He leaves. She's beside herself, crying & saying over & over, "Not again." Tom is pounding on the door, saying they're going to lose their table. Just then, Tony's dad, Craig arrives. He is so sorry. He explains that Tony has just called off the wedding, the engagement, everything. Tom is angry that Craig knew & didn't tell him ahead of time. Craig says he was sure that Tony would change his mind & that Tony is going to regret this for the rest of his life. They go in the room & Marie is out cold, on the floor & they look at the bottle in her hand. Tom calls for Mickey to bring his doctor's bag fast.

Really? I've seen numerous people mention having another actor play Doug in prison. Saying whether it bothered them or not. However, if you are correct, I think that is lame. I've seen several ex-fans who are watching now. Also one fan whose been on a break & about to start watching again. I wonder if Peacock will get a bump up in subs from this. I hope so.

GH: December 2024 Spoilers
Honestly, I don't know. All I know is that when they go dark this time, they won't be back until 2025. Some fan said last week, they were in Feb. but not as far as Valentine's. The reason they are more ahead is to take off extra time for the holidays. I simply have no idea how long extra time would be! 🤷♀️
