I didn't think Patrick intended on killing Ava. I get it that he felt he couldn't write for such a large, bloated cast. I understand why since it seemed he was intent on writing for everyone. We all had our own cut lists, usually of 15 people, different ones of us chose different people to cut. Such a disappointment when there simply was no purge. Now on to today. I loved the reactions on all the faces at the Q Xmas party. Finally Carly knows why Jason fought with Drew! The last thing Willow should do is grab those kids. Is Dex really dead or is this a fake-out? If it is, it's a really good one.

To me Michael E. Knight is an excellent actor. Eva is beautiful, hot, exciting & she also has a primetime pedigree as well. I don't think this was stunt casting. I'll give you Sonny, but Carly to me is still a fascinating character. We just found out that Kristina has closed it pending her deciding whatever the heck she's going to do???? I wonder why she wants to change it. I guess we'll find out. I dislike her first because she's biased against Carly. Also because her Eurotrash accent is more trash than Euro. Bianca I just love because she was the first viable lesbian on daytime. Reason enough right there. But at that time I lived in Brooklyn & went to all these soap events & observing Eden & her friend Liz Hendrikson, behaving just like any 2 girls, having fun, running around, unaffected by their celebrity status, it was refreshing.

DAYS Leo Stark vs. GH Natalia whatever the heck her last name is, very interesting comparison that you propose. I think hatred of Leo edges Natalia out but just barely. Now, Joss as a prostitute, I don't think she's slept with nearly enough different people to begin to qualify. I mean a hooker with only 2 notches on her bedpost would be an epic failure! Clyde is not dead/dead because we still can't have nice things. I was SO displeased when they said he was in a coma! OMG, you can say that again. For starters, both Stefano & Victor were in their own ways, class acts. Scary, sure, but, not hokey. Both Clyde & Konstantin could've been country bumpkins. May these words fly from your keyboard to the soap god's universal script. I found the show to be overall pretty saccharine. All of them are fairly worthless to me. None of them really work, at least not to me.

Some people like Joss; some dislike her. With Leo on DAYS, it's so totally different. He is on constantly & he is detested by the majority of fans. I literally know 4 people who claim to like him, which I do not understand but they're entitled to their opinions & now back to GH! I am one who wishes Joss would get back into medicine. Some Spencer needs to carry on Bobbie's vocational tradition. Hmm, I guess Lucas is. I still felt like medicine & Joss worked well together. .

Nothing against Susan Lucci or Erica Kane or even Pine Valley but the idea of bringing her on the show instead of just a mention of her on the phone is, if you ask me, one of the worst ideas I've heard in about a year. Also no offense intended to the poster of said idea. Just one person's opinion.

When I lived in Brooklyn I went & watched some of those earliest episodes. I was fascinated. Then, it was called the Museum of TV & Radio but it's the same thing. It just got renamed the Paley Center. That would have been sometime between 1998 & 2005. I watched about 8 beginning with the earliest. I wish I'd been prepared to take notes. Thanks for that. The vulnerability is so important to have a gray character rather than all black or all white. Today soaps seem to me to have a tendency to push anything & everything to the edge & then over. Going to extremes. I think they think we'll be disappointed if they don't go just one step further than has been gone before. I don't think we're that immature as viewers, but the audience doesn't seem to be given much credit. Inevitably when I post expressing that AW is now, always was & always will be my #1 favorite soap of all time, of all soaps, other people pile on saying it is true for them, too.

What fun to read again! There were certainly multiple times when Rachel was having trouble with Jamie or Amanda or Matt. More with Jamie & Amanda than with Matt. But it was nothing like the distance between Dennis & Iris. When you think of Iris, you don't automatically see Dennis in your mind. But, when you think of Rachel you think of the whole family. At least by this time, not as much when she was younger.

Yes, that's when I was thinking of & I could accept that. She even had some interesting things about her. I was just lucky to see one of those newer times. I couldn't abide two people her & Tucker. You could be right. I never liked Stefan. I can't explain it since I did like Jake. And, it is intriguing because they are from Vivian. I think you'd be in the clear leaving out the word "almost".

I agree 98%. 2% is because I wasn't watching GH yet when she was on there so I have no opinion on that. I would add that a long while back her Gloria didn't seem to me to be SO ott. At least then I found it to be tolerable. But, the last time I saw her Gloria, I was appalled. Ron is not doing anyone any favors with this particular cr*pola.
