  1. Me either. I don't think I have ever believed in an actual curse.
  2. Oh, Facebook is plenty concerned with protecting its users from things like 1. themselves, 2. false spam reports, 3. harmless posts that its blind mechanical censors catch in their nets. I could go on. My point is they aggressively police things, but almost always it's the wrong things. And, there is no possiblity of speaking to a human ABOUT ANY PROBLEM!
  3. Do you think? Is it possible? An Unabortion Curse?
  4. @ErrolWhat a good idea, one might even say inspired.
  5. At its conclusion BET bought the rights to Generations & aired it several times over.
  6. Joy Pixels version: 🤨 Twitter with the eyebrow: This is the John Black emoji. I'm not sure if I have all of them. But what I have are all posted on Instagram.
  7. As always, thanks for the' tag! That ending of SFT was new to me. The P&G title card was different than any other I've seen. Also KIM!!!
  8. Jane, you slut! No, not really, that's from SNL. Being serious, really Jane, you are a marvel.
  9. Melissa had anorexia & then bulimia. Almost killed her. She is okay now. A survivor.
  10. This is an article from a Maryland newspaper 1-21-25 about BTG. I found it to be a very good article, at least for soap fans.
  11. I don't like Stephen A & I don't like Brick & I, for one, am not going to be changing that opinion. But, I have this nagging thought that Frank uses him because Disney likes him to be used & Frank is not stupid when it comes to playing some games.
  12. I see what you're saying, completely. Just have no clue. Pulling an idea out of thin air, what if it was a philosophy he had with them them, early ya know, but abandoned because the pressure to have weddings was just too great? But, that is strictly speculation. Like 'if you can't beat 'em enjoy it'?
  13. So, that's one of the jobs that Korte used to do, at some point. And, for what, a year Anne Schoettle was acting in that capacity? So, you're just wondering who is taking care of that function now? Until they decide to put someone in credits I'm not sure we will know but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not being done. I know that there's this rep that GH has of having the best continuity people of necessity. I know with my own 2 eyes I see continuity errors which I attribute to Frank's method of taping.
  14. This very possibly may not include any new information. It's Soap Opera Digest's article on the same subject, a few hours after Errol. https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/soaps-a-new-feature-documentary-to-explore-bell-family-dynasty
  15. I love that whole book that Lee Bell had Michael J. Maloney write. My very strong impression from it is that Bill Bell was very confident in his specific ideas about many things & he was not going to be having his mind changed about them. For one specific example, which I absolutely object to, Bell is said to have thought the sex between Bill Horton & Laura Spencer that night at the hospital when he went to her, drunk, was consensual. I remember watching Bill rape Laura. I only wish I had access to the episode, although I've said nothing would get me to re-watch it, but, maybe that statement would.
  16. https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/celebrity/carrie-underwood-had-complaints-over-inauguration I can see her getting backlash IF she compared herself to Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, but this is not a quote of her saying that. Instead it is some unknown "insider" saying she was unhappy about the circumstances of her performance & they bring up those two mega-stars. So, in a way, people remarking about this may not be clear that it is hearsay, which is unfair to Underwood.
  17. Recently, elsewhere, this was discussed & some new light was shed. In 1970s Ratings topic, 1-10-25 will81 said: (in reply to JoeCool who thought like most everyone did because it's what all the press said, that in 1973 Erica had a legal/Roe abortion.) I literally have the scripts. It was May 1971 I have almost every script from 1970 - 1984. Jeff and Erica married Dec 1970. She found out she was pregnant soon after. Jeff seemed somewhat agreeable to an abortion but then talked it over with his father Joe and changed his mind. Erica told him she would get the abortion whether he agreed or not. She went to New York and lied about having her husband's approval (it was legal but only with a husband consenting) then ended up with septicaemia. Which is how Jeff found out. Mary Kenicott was introduced around this time. https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/41800-ratings-from-the-70s/page/75/#comments To summarize: We continue to know that on Y&R Ashley Abbott's abortion was irrelevant in this regard & their stating it was a first was in error. We continue to know that Pat Randolph on AW had the earliest abortion on daytime but it was definitely before any legality of abortion had been established anywhere. On AMC in May 1971 Erica had a legal abortion by going to New York state where it was legal and there was no residency requirement. We continue to know that on SFT Kathy Phillips went to New York state & had a legal abortion there. The date is as yet unknown but thought to be either 1970 or 1971 & we are attempting to learn a more specific date. If anyone has anything to add, please have at it. Now, also in 1970s Ratings topic: Jason47 provided this resource link: (below) On 1/11/2025 at 12:08 PM, Contessa Donatella said: It's been an interesting journey but also something of a beast. P&G, in their way, did no publicity about the SFT abortion. AMC, in their way, did loads but it was in error because it claimed to be a Roe abortion meaning 1973 which turned out to be wrong. We still do not have a close date for the SFT one like Will's script & the articles Jason47 just provided for the AMC one. There's a soap publication that confirms its existence but the possible date range is unfortunately long. Here is your best bet to help find the date, so if anyone wants to check that database, it can probably be found through there: https://library.syracuse.edu/digital/guides/e/ellis_search_for_tom.htm From <https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/41800-ratings-from-the-70s/page/76/#comments> IN RE: Ralph Ellis Search for Tomorrow Collection at Syracuse University Libraries Update: rec'd email reply 1-22. They have 7 large boxes of scripts, arranged in order by date & episode #. They will spend an hour looking for something for you. For anything more it needs someone to go in person or you can hire an independent researcher to act on your behalf & they have a list. My impression: Frankly, I'm favorably impressed. 1. Their email reply & its timeframe. 2. They seem accustomed to dealing with people remotely who have different questions about Search for Tomorrow. BTW, is any one of us from Syracuse? Also, as to topicality, sorry. I know this isn't about ratings but it came up here. After this, I'm going to move it to the "Errors" topic so it won't continue being off-topic here.

  20. When she said that, I was stunned. But, then I thought about it & it was kind of great that they did it that way. Such compassion, such thoughtfulness, and you are right to call it family. Also, I got a real kick out of the show being two weeks ahead!!
  21. Basically just a "Me Too" post as I, too, always had an interest in actors & characters whether I had personally watched them or not. Also, Alice talked about Frankie's death, which I found quite interesting & learned some things. (I would've done this as an Edit & just added to the original post, but, since that's a nice thing we no longer get to have, this is it.)
