I created a countdown calendar. At first I loved it. Today I'm annoyed with it. Why? 91 days, that's why.

What I read was that same day you have to be subbed to Paramount+ Showtime. That was true to see the Daytime Emmys live, also. Further in the reading regular Paramount Plus is next day. I know that info has been published but you have to go looking for it.

Yes, I love that Jason basically was the hero via diplomacy!!! I also love that Drew did NOT like it one bit. And I am OVER Marty talking to Drew about this. Drew is not his client. Willow is. Him wallowing in self-pity, being bitter, talking about only wanting what he's due like some entitled jerk ... who wants to watch that?!! At least Marty earned his keep by filling in that backstory. My new mantra for this show is Cameron is just doing his job. It's not as effective as I need it to be to get through so much Drew airtime, although I am very much hoping that we get a bit of a break from him, soon.

Not new. Alice Barrett Mitchell, Kale Brown, Anna Stuart, Christine Tucci, Alicia Coppolla The anniversary was not the topic. It was a Reunion show & they only talked about the anniversary because they talked about Doug's death. But, I REALLY enjoyed it. Tucci & Coppolla are best friends & godmothers to each other's kids!!

I still cannot believe that ABC made me watch OLTL with AMC & GH so I could get the whole storyline! But, even if I say it begrudgingly, it was worth it. And, I got so much posting mileage out of a pilot crashes a helicopter in the woods with 2 pregnant women on board & both go into unplanned, unexpected labor & both deliver but only 1 baby lives ... And the entire Script Writing Team, too, who we did not see. Plus, I cannot get over 27 sets! I am dying to know how many they can have set up at any given time. The diner set looked fixed, permanent. Wait. There's a second promo?

Actually, when I think about them talking about it in Locher Room chat where I heard about the day Doug Watson died, they talked about 15 months, not 18. And, yes, they talked about it being a really big deal like nothing I've ever heard of! It definitely sounded like an unusual plan!! They even indicated that Doug Watson was having a week off & went to a Dude Ranch for R&R because he was going to be working so hard on the Cory Publishing anniversary story & wouldn't be able to have time off. And, that big deal is what they completely did a rewrite of. I agree that it sounds weird. Looking at it now it doesn't look so bad to me but I know when we were in the midst of the storyline I believe I made some smart-as* crack about papier-mâché!!!

Fun but both short & more about her "No grandmother" clause than anything else. Thanks, though. EF/Lisa was a huge favorite of my mother's. I've done an edit that I think people might enjoy. On DAYS she played Renee from 1981-84. The first thing she said in the interview was that she relates to Sally Field, when she said, "You like me. You really like me." except that Philece is saying, "You remember me! You really remember me!" She has not done this kind of interview since 1989. She shares that she has stayed in touch with Gregg Marx all these years. He now does singing engagements & she often attends. When she left DAYS, the show was 2 weeks ahead on taping. She found out her character was being killed off through rumor on the set. She marched into Al Rabin's office & asked if it was true. He told her to sit down. She shares that Lee & Renee both got labeled as bitches but they were just really misunderstood. In the story at first she thought Lee was her older sister, not her mother. She tells about this one scene. Lee has left a letter for her. This is how she found out she was a DiMera. Marlena reads it to her. The scene was just over 7 minutes & they did it in one take, no cuts, no edits. This happened to be shortly after Brenda Benet's tragic death & Philece was really crying, not acting. Deidre had to keep it together because she had to read the entire letter. But, afterward, she was having trouble because she too was all choked up. In reality it was all just too raw & too real. The day that they found Brenda, the actress who played Jessica called everyone & told them to come to her house & they were all told, there, that afternoon, because they didn't want any of them to hear it on the evening news. Brenda Benet's 7 year old son had died in 1981. She & her husband Bill Bixby had divorced in 1980. They found her at 3:30 in the afternoon. She had shot herself. April 7, 1982. She was 36 yrs. old. The tragedy of her life touched the whole cast, crew, everyone. I've posted before, here, a tribute Bill Hayes wrote about her. Near the end of the hour they talked about Philece's career as a voice actor for animation. She did one of her voices, a little boy named Lester.

Okay, I did some searching & you are correct, it was her choice to leave. Also she had surgery to remove part of her lung & is in recovery/remission for the lung cancer but now she is suffering from lymphoma. GEEZE! Ouch! Okay, though, I get it. And, it's true. I tell my posters all the time, if you don't know it, don't post it. I will endeavor to do better.

Hmm, possibly I could have been misinformed. But, no, I have not seen where she spoke about it, at all.

I'm still mad that they got rid of Maggie to pay for that actor who most recently played Gregory on GH & also that they then gave Maggie one of the worst death scenes I've ever seen. Speaking of FALCON CREST. And, Susan Sullivan.

Okay, besides the numbers, there's a need to look at perspective. This represents these 3 P&G soaps at 6th, 7th & 8th place, so almost the absolute bottom. Also this is 14 weeks, which is one week more than a business quarter & the entertainment "cycle". Plus: July 22-26: 2.5 / 16 (Tie with ATWT and B&B for 6th place. Increase due to Olympics) July 29 - August 2: 2.8 / 17 (6th place. Increase due to Olympics) And, as has been pointed out there is the issue of balance when we look at $$$ spent & damage done. Then, finally we have to note that AW is her shortest EP tenure, which MUST be a reflection of how successful she was considered by her employers.

And, she was politically correct (literally) & liturgically correct & to top that she's a dead ringer for Kate McKinnon. She's win-win-win!
