  1. I'm afraid my question got derailed. At any rate. I remain very interested in anyone with information about when, even approximately, Scott proposed to Kathy. I hope to make the best use possible of the Syracuse resources. "Unknown date in 1972" sadly is too broad.
  2. Not the Mean Girls clique!! Contrary to unpopular opinion they are not cool. Do not let them see you sweat!! Then you will be okay.
  3. I'm not an expert but I am under the impression that he went along more or less with Nancy Curlee & her husband Stephen Demorest. You know the story, right? If not, say so & I will relate it. Anyway, he wrote going by rules, respecting time, staying in bounds. I don't think him in this kind of Triumvirate is at all the same as him by himself & on his own. That's when he gets into trouble.
  4. And it happens to be an excellent opinion. @MaximYou have nothing to worry about, at least not here & not about this temp Iris!
  5. They know in NYC that without those workers, restaurants simply will be unable to function.
  6. BTW, thanks, I love me some words! That strikes me as awfully funny! Beverlee McKinsey iconic, character she lived & breathed, but your thought, naturally for you. is who is that woman?!!
  7. I'm caught up now as far as Thursday. I can't believe it but Sofia's mother is just such a witch & also it's not about best situation for her daughter, no to her this is about ideology! I've said this before. It's even truer now. Onward to Friday's show.
  8. Yeah, she was a trained, experienced actor trying to do a job. I won't be taking any potshots. I've always thought temp recast was a pretty thankless position.
  9. My pulling away was more emotional than physical.
  10. OH NO, that is so awful. I had a sorta similar experience. 4 years of my life & all gone in one fell swoosh.
  11. Okay, Mona. Thanks for replying & for the fan review. Instantly I felt myself pulling back. She did not look like Iris. Then when she began to speak I pulled even further away. The short clip seemed interminable. @MaximI KNEW you would hate it!! Of course I did not like it.
  12. No, it's good, it helps. And much thanks! Sure, I headed over, not live, but shortly after. I stuck it out till a little over halfway, but I quit because it was not keeping my interest. And, I mean, I can tolerate a lot but not boring me. Margaret kibbutzes & I really liked that! Today was their 37th anniversary.
  13. This movie was so far ahead of its time that now it doesn't seem dated. Instead it may resonate. "This is the story of Howard Beale, the first person known to be killed because he had lousy ratings." - news announcer, NETWORK 1976
  14. Saw him live in concert VERY shortly before the tragic accident that took his life. What a terrible loss.
  15. I have a need to know the exact date when Nancy Curlee, Stephen Demorest & James E. Reilly became the GL Headwriters. Some sources say Dec. 1990. Others say Jan. 1991. Does anyone happen to know?
  16. Well, it sounds like they cast an accomplished actress, so points for that, although I figure the first time any actor does daytime they probably experience culture shock! At the conclusion of that storyline I was amazed at how close to death Mac seemed. Also that's the point where Mitch Blake is totally confusing to me. When he does that 180 & goes from helping Janice poison Mac to helping Rachel get Mac to some emergency healthcare it gives me whiplash!!! Thanks for replying & for the info!!!
  17. That is so beyond disgusting. In GH Zoom yesterday one of us who is from the Boston area said they were sending notes home from school telling people what to do about not being able to fetch their kids from school if they get picked up as illegal, whether they are actually legal, or not.
  18. Have any of you ever seen this temp Iris? It was new to me. She was okay, I guess.
  19. You're in a good company! (a large group!) #1 and #2 are winning by huge margins. I'll be watching GH at 2 & so will watch BTG at 3.
  20. I have a feeling a great many hopes & dreams are hanging on this new sudser!
  21. Never thought about it but it makes sense. They would have to write the recently deceased actor out of at least one or a few episodes. It's just so sad. Is there no reason stated?
  22. Wow!!! When you get going you can really sling some words! And, please know that is a compliment. In short, I totally agree. He told the interviewer at least 3 times that he was spending too much time on soaps. Yes, that was offensive!!! How could it not be? I should admit that I went into this interview site with a low opinion of him as far as being a soap writer and he said nothing to improve that opinion. If asked, I will continue to say what a good job he did as the host of Inside the Actors Studio. But, that's as far as I can go. Also, interesting news about his educational "shop" going under. I meant to say the reason I posted this is because I imagine not many soap fans will have bought this book & all that is contained in the whole of Chapter 8 is soap alums. I wonder, do you think I should have included the famous questions?
  23. Who? Doug3 & Julie? If so, first week of December. Honestly I feel like it is not coming soon enough!!! I feel like this is some kind of dimensional vortex & I have this sneaking suspicion that Ron has somehow managed to make time go by slower. I'm sure that cannot be true but it feels like it is. The Carlivati Effect?!!! BTW, you may be comfortable saying "The Days of our Leo" but, I for one, am not. It maybe The Days of Leo for some persons, but not this person. I would have to amend that to be like Leo's Stark Days or something similar. I'm sure there's someone here with a clever possibility.
