Because "both sides are the same" and "She gave a speech at Goldman Sachs!"

That's what's so disgusting about Republicans. They will kill off things that are working just in the name of ideology. Whether or not you believe in climate change, Energy Star is a good program.

IMO, it's theatre to try and bring the lefty purity ponies back into the fold. They are all about big shows. Of course, they'll find another excuse to sit home and sabotage us.

Another gold medal winner in the "I voted against my own interests" Olympics "Beginning in January 2016, Kraig Moss traveled to 45 rallies, belting out songs in support of Donald Trump and telling the story of his late son, Rob, who died three years ago from a heroin overdose. In this way, the musician earned the title of “the Trump Troubadour,” a true believer said to symbolize “the voice of unheard America.” He stopped making his mortgage payments and sold the equipment for his construction business to stay on the campaign trail, galvanized by Trump’s promise to help young people — like Moss’s late son — who struggle with drug addiction. Trump, Moss thought, was the candidate most capable of bringing an end to the heroin epidemic sweeping the nation." Fast forward to today... "This bill is just the absolute opposite,” Moss told The Washington Post. “I felt betrayed. I felt let down.” He had put all his weight behind the Republican’s promise, sacrificing his business and his livelihood to sing Trump’s praises. But this bill backed by the president “disgusted” him. He no longer sings songs about Trump, and he now wonders if any of his sacrifices were worth it."

He's completely coming apart. "Yeah, it’s a cool story. I mean it’s, the concept is right. I predicted a lot of things, Michael. Some things that came to you a little bit later. But, you know, we just rolled out a list. Sweden. I make the statement, everyone goes crazy. The next day they have a massive riot, and death, and problems. Huma [Abedin] and Anthony [Weiner], you know, what I tweeted about that whole deal, and then it turned out he had it, all of Hillary’s email on his thing. NATO, obsolete, because it doesn’t cover terrorism. They fixed that, and I said that the allies must pay. Nobody knew that they weren’t paying. I did. I figured it. Brexit, I was totally right about that. You were over there I think, when I predicted that, right, the day before. Brussels, I said, Brussels is not Brussels. I mean many other things, the election’s rigged against Bernie Sanders. We have a lot of things."

I'm not going to celebrate until we have a vote and this thing loses. I see some people saying that Ryan will pull the bill but I hope not. I want every member of the House to have to go on record.

Devin Nunes looks like he's about ten minutes from locking himself in the bathroom and flushing a ton of cocaine down the toilet.

It amazes me that these people think they can take on the IC and win.

And not every Boomer was a hippie. Mainly though it's just the exposure to right wing media. I saw it happen with friends of mine. They were decent people then they started watching Fox and little by little the Facebook posts about men in dresses in the bathroom started showing up and the memes about Obama coming for your guns. It's brainwashing, pure and simple.- The Politics Thread
Yeah but as someone who once worked for AARP told me on another site, AARP doesn't have the grip on its base they way it used to because much of the AARP constituency now watches Fox News all day. Fox is in their heads long before AARP can get there with a mailing.- The Politics Thread
Yeah, I'll be interested to see if they pull this off.- The Politics Thread
Meh. She's only being bumped for a week. It feels like a publicity stunt.- The Politics Thread
The Steele dossier stated outright that the Russians used the DNC hack to drive people towards Sanders at Clinton's expense. I'd be interested to see where some of his $27 donations came from. He played right into their hands and will never acknowledge it.- The Politics Thread
That's the galling part. These people vote to tear other people's lives to pieces but they don't want to be thought of as heartless.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread

This weekend's Tweetstorm is probably going to be epic. His wiretap lie has fallen apart and required an apology to Britain, ACA repeal has imploded, his budget is being torn to pieces, the operation in Syria has resulted in mounting civilian deaths, and now he's making a fool of himself in front of the leader of the free world.- The Politics Thread
Everything about Trump's budget is designed by Putin to weaken this country. These cuts are exactly what we would see from a hostile country that has invaded us.- The Politics Thread
No. I think media attention is more helpful at this point. People who regret their vote need to be given a way to admit it. That's the way to take apart a cult.- The Politics Thread

Between the freeze on the Muslim ban again, the admission by the DOJ that there was no wiretap, and the (hopeful) results of the election in the Netherlands, this has been a pretty good day.- The Politics Thread
It's fun watching a man who railed against political correctness cry like a punk when he's on the other side.- The Politics Thread
Right now I'm also looking at two House races. Jon Ossoff in Georgia and Rob Quist in Montana. Both are Democrats who are polling well. Ossoff is in a jungle primary so we'll see if he makes it to the next round. Rob Quist is up against a billionaire carpetbagger who already ran for governor and lost.- The Politics Thread
This is why turning statehouses has got to become a priority. That's where I'm putting my attention. - The Politics Thread
