  1. "Former Ohio state Senator Nina Turner, who endorsed Sanders in 2016, was on hand to back Ellis, and said that California contest reflected the same divisions that roiled the party’s chairmanship battle at the national level. She said Ellis garnered “the same energy that [Minnesota Rep.] Keith Ellison had until the establishment came in and choked the life out of people.’’ While Democratic leaders backed by big money interests “want to talk about Russia and Mr. Trump,’’ she said, they are ignoring “the movement of the people” on bedrock issues like health care." I'm embarrassed that say that Nina Turner was my state senator. She had a fairly promising career before following Bernie into the void. The fact that these people can't see that getting rid of Trump is job one is an example of why they are so destructive.
  2. Do we have an extradition agreement with Vatican City? Any discussion of 2016 that doesn't acknowledge Russian interference at this point isn't being realistic. As for Biden, I think Al Giordano sums it up best: There is nothing to be gained by people on the left going after Hillary or Obama. For every purity prog who gets off on it, they "bern" the support of women or POC.
  3. Me too. The thing about Biden is, he's already run for President and didn't get any traction. That was before the right wing noise machine.
  4. I love Joe but Lawd knows he has a history of shooting off his mouth.
  5. That [!@#$%^&*] was aggressively mediocre.
  6. We've hit 1000 pages y'all! Lets celebrate!
  7. At this point it doesn't matter who Donnie chooses to run the FBI. That person will never have the respect of the rank and file. They will essentially be a figurehead who at best is treated like an obstacle to work around or at worst the subject of the investigation itself.
  8. The wheels are already coming off of his overseas trip. "President Donald Trump has canceled a planned visit and speech at the ancient mountain fortress of Masada in Israel after authorities told him that he could not land his helicopter on top of the UNESCO-listed site. Instead, Trump will now deliver a speech at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. It comes after an Israeli Air Force (IAF) regulation that prevents helicopters landing at the summit of the Masada site, according to Israel’s Channel 2 broadcaster. Unlike former presidents who have made the trip, such as George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, Trump declined to land the helicopter at a base of the historic site and then take the cable car up, preferring to cancel the visit altogether."
  9. Somebody needs to look up what "subpoena" means.
  10. Back during the Jowars I could never have imagined the day I would like something you wrote as much as I love this post. This just makes me want to meet you at Rodi's for an O'Douls or maybe we could share a flan in Angel Square.
  11. If it were just up to the Congressional Repubs I'd agree with you but the global IC and law enforcement (FBI/U.S. Marshals) are out for blood and that was before he decided to piss off Mossad. He's leaving whether it's in a Trump plane, handcuffs or a body bag. You're right. I was wrong. I was thinking "independent" prosecutor not "special" prosecutor. Apparently Donnie can order Rosenstein to fire Mueller and if Rosenstein refuses than he can fire Mueller himself. I have to believe that most people in the administration know that would be the equivalent of 45 shoving a hand grenade up his own ass but we're through the looking glass so anything is possible.
  12. No.
  13. Yep. RICO and money laundering. That's how he goes. Good to know. That's what I'm looking for. An organization willing to put the rubber to the road.
  14. So everybody but Hannity and Donnie's relatives.
  15. Bernie's missed yet another financial disclosure deadline. It's been extended to June 4 but that's when he's doing his book tour of the U.K. so I'll be interested to see how he tries to scam his way out of it. http://www.vnews.com/SANDERS-MISSES-ANOTHER-FINANCIAL-REPORTING-DEADLINE-10072890
  16. Not really. Colbert has been whooping his ass in the ratings.
  17. Erdogan's bodyguards beat up Turkish protesters on Embassy Row in Washington while D.C. cops try to stop them. This is what trump has brought to our shores.
  18. "I'm not there" should be Bernie's new slogan. Of course he's not there. He was a tool of Russian interference and the poison of this sad moment of history is going to take him down too.
  19. Exactly. Once Trump was elected I canceled my annual trip to NYC and put off a home improvement I was planning to make. I also moved my retirement into way more conservative funds.
  20. Maybe it's for the best that the EU take the lead for a while. We've been dragged down not just by Russia but by the willful ignorance and malice of our own people. The Republicans have shown themselves to be incapable of governing and half the actors in our political process are there just for personal enrichment and aggrandizement. I hope the stuff that I'm seeing on the IC twitters is true and there's a RICO case being built against the GOP as a party. That would be a first good step toward finding our way back from the brink.
  21. Just a reminder that while our president is fellating the Russians, Bernie and John Kasich are going to have a debate tomorrow.
  22. Neither SNL nor Fallon will ever be able to live down what they did but that doesn't mean SNL hasn't done good work since then.
  23. Now you can see they are just trolling him and trying to feed the dysfunction in White House. There's a lot of talk about how he is falling apart.
  24. Claude's been pretty on the money recently. This could explain Donnie's mental state.
  25. @Vee, have you started writing for Vox? "But what if there’s nothing to understand? What if there’s no there there? What if our attempts to explain Trump have failed not because we haven’t hit on the right one, but because we are, theory-of-mind-wise, overinterpreting the text? In short, what if Trump is exactly as he appears: a hopeless narcissist with the attention span of a fruit fly, unable to maintain consistent beliefs or commitments from moment to moment, acting on base instinct, entirely situationally, to bolster his terrifyingly fragile ego." https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/5/12/15621140/interpret-trump
