  1. The Kim Weaver thing is kind of frustrating me for a number of reasons. She didn't just drop out because of threats. She also said that she couldn't afford to quite her job and campaign full time because then she would lose her health insurance and she also has an elderly mother in poor health. People keep talking about the threats, for good reason, but I think the other two reasons are a big indicator of why it's hard for thoughtful committed people to run for office.
  2. Can we please stop talking about Trump sex? It's dinner time in my neck of the woods.
  3. As everyone predicted, Donnie can't stop Comey from testifying.
  4. I saw rumors that they'd already agreed to divorce but then he won so I have to imagine that marriage is now wide open.
  5. Trump's tweets are the gift that keeps on giving. His tweets are the reason he can't claim executive privilege with Comey's testimony. They are going to cost him his Muslim ban and eventually they will be the evidence of his mental unfitness. While that's happening Hillary troll will still be talking about private servers and Greg will just keep posting random racist garbage from Breitbart. So. Much. Winning.
  6. He didn't even win the last one. He won the presidency but not the election. People like the troll keep talking about Hillary because they can't talk about Donnie. He's accomplished nothing, except slamming Gorsuch on the court but that wasn't him, that was the Federalist Society. There's no ban, no wall, no Obamacare replacement, the Russia investigation continues and his every attempt to stop it only makes it worse (Hi, Robert Mueller!), the economy is slowing down, he made a fool of himself during his foreign trip, the entire free world has united against him, even pulling out of the Paris Accords only served to make CEOs rail against him. Donald is a failure on every level: as a president, businessman, husband, father and man and no deflecting to Hillary is going to change that.
  7. He's reporting for The Young Turks. They're only mission on earth seems to be attacking Democrats for not being ideological pure enough for them while they simultaneously take money from the Republicans. If it give them the chance to attack a woman, POC or someone over the age of 40 even better so you can see where Maxine would be worth triple points.
  8. The day will come but it's going to take much longer than people expect. I believe the "deep state" is going to leave no stone unturned and I'm fine with that. But I do agree that Comey's testimony is going to be geared at making the case for obstruction. In other news, this alt-left dudebro got in Maxine Waters face then tried to claim she "shoved" him. Twitter promptly handed him his ass.
  9. What I found so eye-rolling was that Sasse said come work in the fields with us and Maher went right to slavery. Does he not even understand that farming is an industry that employs people? It was just such an elitist response. But yeah, Maher isn't sorry. He spews this kind of stuff too often.
  10. So far conservatives have "targeted" Coke, Pepsi, Budweiser, Starbucks, Nordstroms, Stephen Colbert, and Hamilton. I think Rachel will be fine. Hannity's always been a crackpot but he really seems to have gone of the deep end in the last couple of months. In other news, Trump's decision about the accords has put him on the outs with business leaders. "The decision plays well with his base. But a joint poll by the Harvard school of public health and Politico found 62% of Americans supported staying in the Paris agreement. "You cannot run a major American corporation appealing to Donald Trump's 38%," said Brinkley."
  11. Between Griffin and Maher, toxic white progressivism is having some kind of competition to see who can be more thirsty and tone deaf. I see people saying he should lose the show for this. If that happens watch him become even more vicious and nihilistic. He still hasn't gotten over losing Politically Incorrect.
  12. Oh it's obvious he's gained weight. That's what I found so funny about the way he preened after shoving the Montenegro PM. He lifts his head in order to try and minimize his double chins and geezer neck. It's good to hear that he's miserable though. All that stress is accelerating his dementia.
  13. The infighting is going to be very helpful as the walls close in on these criminals. In special election news, this Democrat is running for South Carolina's 5th district seat. The ad is a bit corny and I hate how people running for office feel like they have to be "entertaining" but I have to admit it made me smile and toss him some cash.
  14. Seriously. Anybody who thinks that the left doesn't have it's own misogynistic, racist, science-denying element is in for a rude awakening. Also secession just leaves a whole lot of people we need stuck in what would essentially be slave states. I'm in what is currently a red state. I love when Jane decides to read a fool.
  15. The mayor of Pittsburgh cordially invites Donnie to STFU. Right? I'm kicking myself for wasting any time responding to that one. When my life is over I'm going to want those 30 minutes back. It does make me wonder however, what's Carly been up to since she fell off Ted Cruz's stage?
  16. I'll be interested to see if/how the stock markets react tomorrow. It didn't escape my notice that he waited until just before the markets closed to make this announcement.
  17. We pretty much are. Trump is like an African dictator and Republicans in Congress say they don't believe in climate change because God will take care of it. They are about five minutes away from sacrificing a goat to read the entrails.
  18. That tells me everything I need to know.
  19. Because the third party candidates were so stellar and qualified.
  20. I'm not going to re-litigate the election with you. There's no point in that. But anyone who refuses to acknowledge that there were many factors in her loss (Comey, Russians, voter suppression especially in swing states) isn't being realistic. There's a reason North Carolina's voter suppression was ruled unconstitutional and SCOTUS will be looking at Ohio's voter purge.
  21. You're not supposed to but that doesn't mean you can't. The EC was ostensibly created to keep an unfit person out of office. (Although really it just turned out to be affirmative action for flyover states but that's a different debate.) This is the second time a popular vote loser was handed the presidency so let's not pretend that the EC isn't a broken system.
  22. Actually they can. The electors could've changed their votes.
  23. Hilary has already taken responsibility. She just hasn't taken ALL of the responsibility. Nor should she. There's plenty of blame to go around. And again, if it weren't for the electoral college she would've won. She got more votes. If we ran our elections like every other civilized country on the planet we wouldn't be in this [!@#$%^&*] show. As for Pence, the Russia investigation is already splashing all over him but regardless, look at the idiocy we saw from Trump during his overseas trip. Pence may be a christofascist but even he wouldn't have wandered away from Netenyahu in the middle of a press conference because he was sundowning.
  24. Let's just see if Donnie is even alive in 2020. Given his general health and the fact that he keeps pissing off the intelligence community, let's see if he even lives to see Christmas.
  25. This is bad for the planet but good for the resistance. Most of the corporate community wanted us to stay in. Donnie just shot himself in the foot and the DNC just got a really good chance at fundraising. Yes, I know the precious lefties hate that filthy corporate money. Screw them. Every CEO on this list should be getting hit up for donations. Anybody acting like they can predict 2020 right now is a crackhead.
