Bernie's campaign did such a piss poor job of educating its voters about what was necessary to vote. That's part of the reason they didn't know the difference between open and closed primaries then had the nerve to call that voter suppression and somehow blame Hillary or the DNC for rigging. Both Hillary and Obama before her had a way you could put in your address and they would tell you everything you needed to vote: whether the primary was open or closed, your polling location, what type of ID you needed, etc...

Ohio has joined the push for a Constitutional convention. If 34 states agree they'll be able to rewrite the Constitution. Bye bye Bill of Rights.

Agreed. I hope she'll get right to the important stuff.

Charles Pierce dives down into some details. I admit that I'm still trying to figure out what the endgame is. http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/news/a53848/trump-executive-order-reorganization/

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. I can't even imagine.

I'm right there with you. I'm tired of being told that we need to "understand" these people. I understand them just fine. What we need to do is protect ourselves from them.

If Trump deserves the credit for this jobs report then it's another example of how he doesn't measure up to his predecessor. February 2016: 242,000 jobs added. February 2015: 295,000 jobs added.

His fans don't care. He lied to their faces and admits he lied to their faces and they still worship him. It's time to stop thinking that anything will make them see him for the fraud he is because their attachment to him is based on religious fervor not logic or reason.

You're right. Bernie would too. Whatever my many, many, MANY issues with him, I have no doubt that he would've fought like hell for universal healthcare.

Hillary would've moved heaven and earth to get us closer to single payer. The GOP would be doing what they did to Obama but she would've tried her damndest. She was working on health care reform back when Obama was smoking weed in college. The ignorant fraud we have in the White House now claims that no one knew health care could be so complicated. Except one person knew better than anybody.

That's an anomaly from my experience with the ACLU. I was on the board of the ACLU for nine years and there was none of that victim blaming even when our clients were...let's say...problematic. I've been in love with the organization ever since. There are always people who look for reasons to blame other people for their problems because it reassures them that they will never be in the same position. Just like Trump voters on food stamps and welfare don't consider themselves takers because they think they deserve help while "those people" don't.

You don't say it nicely. You say it just like that because that's the truth. We've become a country that not only embraces ignorance, we aggressively pursue it.

I'm so glad that piece mentioned how he treated Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer. That's what made me write him off for good. But that writer certainly seems to be all up in his feelings. Plus the fact he voted for Stein doesn't exactly make me think he's a genius.

I don't consider the that Twitter account gospel. Mainly because if what I've heard is true it's manned by numerous people and for their own safety they will occasionally have to tweet something wrong to throw the White House off the scent but it's obvious Trump is obsessed with Obama and has been since the birther stuff. I'll be interested to see what happens when Obama starts making public appearances and speeches. Trump's going to stroke out.

Not really. Claiming Obama tapped his phones was a stupid thing to say but it still ties back into his ties to Russia. I think the real story here is that even if Trump's phone wasn't bugged he's so tied to the Russian mob that there's little doubt that they have him on the phone with someone who was. This was a pre-emptive shot for if/when that drops.

I keep wondering who will be the next sacrificial lamb: Priebus, Conway or White House Counsel Don McGhan who apparently screwed the pooch when trying to find evidence of a wiretap.
