Y&R: Old Articles
LMAO @ too poor! The show was canceled in Greece somewhere in mid-2004 episodes. AFAIK, it was due to low ratings, although it had been doing well until then. Seems the Greek audience was only willing to put up with half of 2004 before calling it quits! They don't know how lucky they are. B&B was still shown until recently (maybe it still is, only on summer hiatus right now). They got up to well into the 2010s. But Y&R has held its own pretty well too, despite long periods of pre-emptions/breaks.

Some promo stuff: This is actually pretty cute: Sorta recreating the opening credits. Nathalie Kelley did hers very well. Steven actually is kind hot, and so is Sam Adegoke.

My beloved St. Vincent also has a new song out:

What Are You Listening To?
Just heard this for the first time. Occasionally, a new singer/group transports me back to those years as a young teenager and that feeling of discovering/listening to my favorite pop stuff. That magic that's hard to describe. And the video is fun too!

I have them too, which is why I am likely to give this a pass, unless I find out on sale for 30 bucks or something. Yes. Movie, miniseries, whatever. lol In any case, most of the show sucked too. That's surely not a reason why they wouldn't release it. I wonder if it's a rights things, or maybe they don't think it'll sell.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Eeeh. Never writing him out was perhaps an exaggeration, but he's good looking, straight, male, and a character that can create problems and drama. He also fits the bad boy gone good-ish soap trope. Why would they throw that away? (Although soaps have done worse, of course). His chances of sticking around are not bad, at least. Wasn't that just a fake-out for a few episodes?

That artwork actually looks really good. A little silly and OTT but that's totally on par with DYNASTY. And they're finally highlighting the women! But what a missed opportunity not to include the mini-series. I can't believe it's never been released.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
I can definitely see that. I don't think they'd ever write him out, unless he decides to leave, which is very likely. In any case, unless they kill him off in too permanent a way, he will always be able to come back.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Hopefully they'll move him onto someone else. In all seriousness, he's worth keeping around -- the actor is decent and the character works.

HBO: Game of Thrones
A thrilling second episode, full of highlights. I can't believe there's only 5 episodes left! So many unexpected returns... Melisandre, Hot Pie, Nymeria! The female-led war council was spectacular. I loved how they settled on a strategy and then Olenna was like, ignore all that! Be a dragon! So happy we got the tender Missandei and Grey Worm love scene I always hoped we'd get. Sam is determined to become a maester and disgust us every episode lmao But that man cutting into the pie and making us think it's pus coming out of Jorrah's flesh was inspired. Puke-inducing, but inspired. I cried when Arya learned Jon Snow is in power. So of course he decides to go to Dragonstone just as Arya is going back to Winterfell. The truly unexpected thing was Arya and Nymeria seeing each other again. Maisie did phenomenal work in that scene. She's got an Emmy nomination, that's for sure. I was so happy when Jon appointed Sansa responsible while he was gone. That look she gave him, and the happiness in Brienne's reaction... I really like that they upped the ante with the Lannisters actually having a way to fight back against the dragons. And that unexpected final battle. Truly, unbelievably stunning. Some movies wish they could pull that off. I did not expect Reek to come back, but of course -- you do not simply get over the horrendous torture Theon went through. I hope this is the beginning of him finding even more of his strength. Those moments of a psychotic Euron (I guess he's not all talk) laughing next to a betrayed Yara were superb. Also, I think it's interesting how they fulfilled one of my wishes (to see the damn sand snakes gone) but they subverted it -- as one by one, they found gruesome death in the hands of Euron, I felt bad and then worse. Those were horrible deaths.

yas! We could cut her some slack, though, since she's leading to Ross running around the village naked.

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
What in the blazing hell are you all talking about???? James Hyde looks great. The fυck? The styling is perhaps a little OTT for a 54 yo man, but still... And his skin tone has always looked like that, even on PASSIONS.....
