As The World Turns Discussion Thread
I didn't know Penny was in it so it was a really great surprise when she showed up. I enjoyed most of it (since I haven't seen much from this era of the show) except for the guy who stole the money and that supposed trio; the actors were OK but it all seemed so boring. And Hunt Block was annoying as hell. Not to mention how smug and punch-worthy Margo and Tom were (that is a recast Tom, correct?). Great to see Lyla, of course. Such a shock to jump from Marland 1986 to this. All the characters, their offspring, so much history in between! Shocking to see the developments.

I feel like it's a "thing" to bash one's soap work, or at least diminish it, regardless of whether the era they were in was great or not. It's kinda pathetic. If I were on a soap for five years and truly thought the writing was great, I would proudly say so. And I would say so if I thought it was horrid. But I wouldn't downplay it in shame.

Doctor Who
Oh, DOCTOR WHO. I'm midway through Season 1 (2005, that is) and I am getting so so so so obsessed and addicted. I have to cry in EVERY. SINGLE. EPISODE. Fabulosity all around!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I saw my first two RHOBH episodes last Monday... don't know what season they were from (pretty sure the first one was a season premiere). Maybe I would change my mind if I had seen more but Lisa is such a fabulous, Alexis-type bitch. I just fell in love with her the moment that I saw her. And I was fascinated by the dynamics between the two sisters (one of them is an alcoholic). It was also Yolanda's first episode; she was told she has slept with all of BH! Which reminds me; I gotta start NY Season 5, which I pray is an improvement over Season 4.

Melrose Place
Wow, it took 6 seasons but Andrew Shue finally had a genuinely well-acted scene! (Or, at least, half of it) when Sam announced they were getting married. I laughed my ass off, something which I did a lot of since it seems MELROSE PLACE finally managed to do some humor. And Jamie Luner is just fantastic from the moment she walks in.

Melrose Place
OMG, this too much! Michael: Even if you did get pregnant last night, it would take at least a couple of weeks to show up. Taylor: Michael, I could FEEL the moment of conception! Taylor: Thank you for all your hard work.

Melrose Place
*Michael answers the phone*: "Hello?" Taylor: We have to have sex right away! (laughed out loud) Michael: Um, who is this? Taylor: It's Taylor, who do you think? So, when can you do me?

Melrose Place
LMFAO at Taylor running around town looking for sperm and then basically telling Michael to impregnate her not once, but twice! I mean, this isn't far from rape although they did make sure to show that Michael changed his mind twice. God, she turned batshit crazy, didn't she?

Revenge: Discussion Thread
This show is Loved Victoria calling Conrad and having him beat her in order to blame the white haired assassin and return to life. Conrad's line about this giving him pleasure was hilarious; it was all so MELROSE (but MELROSE would have shown us the beating lol). The end was great, were Takeda's man shot (and I presume) killed the white hair man. So they keep giving Declan storylines? I wonder where this will go. I'm also curious about Nolan and that girl. Just don't tell me this is some kind of romance. And I feel this needs to be said again: Daniel is so so so so so so so [!@#$%^&*] hot. I mean, DAMN. Gorgeous!

Melrose Place
LOL Gotcha I watched the first episode and liked it; so far, I don't spot much difference. But I was surprised to see Frank South still as executive producer. I thought he would have been replaced as showrunner/exec producer by Pratt by now. Maybe it happens in a few episodes?

Melrose Place
That is such a gorgeous cover; will make sure to buy that. I recently finished Season 5 and, I have to say, I loved that last double episode. I think this may be my second favorite cliffhanger after Season 3. You just never get storylines clashing into each other (figuratively and literally) on MELROSE and it was such an ingenious way to do it. Excited for Season 6!

Y&R: Old Articles
Ouch! Poor thing--never able to find love! Well, Nikki's shooting and reconciliation was still Bell/Alden but she did write the climax of that story and most of the Katherine/Jill one. It's shocking to remember a time when Y&R was the best and with as little hype from its writers as possible.

That's awesome! REVENGE is a great fit for Sundays (which is why I suspected it would happen) and I'm glad the ratings show that. It's the first time it's gotten near its pilot ratings. I hope they can retain most of it if not grow.

Lydia should just keep coming back to life. Falling from a building, plane explosion, she can get through anything!

That was a great start! Loved Conrad conniving to get Charlotte's power of attorney and how it was revealed that Victoria is alive. I can't wait until she gets all her power back and starts being the Queen Bee again! It seems both Nolan and especially Jack have spent the past few months intensely working out lol. I can't complain. I'm not too crazy about Daniel and Ashley being together but I still have hope that they will go ahead with what the teased--Conrad and Ashley. It seems Conrad hinted that Ashley might not be entirely faithful. Loving the whole thing with Emily's mother. I can't wait to find out what happened!
