  1. That's beautiful. You are so talented.
  2. The Diva was looking over my shoulder - Mommy, is that Tracy? That's her face. I like her hair.... You have poisoned her through the web... HAPPY?????
  3. I think this is exactly what they are doing. Luke and Laura will never be outside of each other's orbits because they have kids together. Tracy will always be insecure about that because she's had some hard life experiences to teach her not to fully trust. This way all three of them can be on and have stories moving in different directions. Honestly, it frees of LuNacy for the next level and it frees Laura to be developed as an actual character. You noticed that too, eh? If the backlash of the latest article has taught me anything, it's that the FF are Laura and Laura-with-prop. LnL fans are almost unanimously not Luke fans. Poor AG.... we've got LnL/LauraFF and we've got LuNacy/TracyFF, but we've got very few LukeFF.
  4. Lainey and Ms.Q, I understand where you are coming from - and after being on SOC where the LnLers are trying to pick through everything with a fine tooth comb, I've seen all the arguments. Things that emerge for me, however... Luke didn't try to touch, hug, pat, stroke or cuddle Laura at any point during her obvious upset with the exception of that one last kiss. There was no effort to comfort her with anything. Luke at no point said Tracy wasn't important to him, didn't say the marriage was over now that Laura was awake, didn't say Laura was second to no one. All he said is Laura had a special place in his heart - as she should after 30 years and being the mother of his children. Luke told her the truth, softly but fully. They didn't fall in love right away, it did surprise both of them, he does have strong feelings for Tracy - we know it's love, Luke knows it's love, even Laura knows it's love. She told Luke right at the start she didn't want to hear about his relationship to Tracy, so that's what he respected in his discourse. When Laura said Luke chased her, he made very quick statement that no, he was chasing Scott who was driving like a madman. If it was going to be a reunion we would have heard something obnoxious about 'I'll chase you forever' or some such drivel - we heard nothing even remotely like that. So far we have had one week of LuNacy getting back home and finding out the situation with Lulu/Laura. This second week we've had Luke telling Laura the truth and the two of them accept that their marriage is over. No one expects the love to be gone. Coming Monday is week three where Luke returns to Tracy (and I really pray they do as much with that reunion as they did with LnL's ending) and then Tracy/Laura tangle. We aren't even half way through this story yet. Even after Laura leaves the story continues to unfold. We've got articles where TG talks about his motivation. We've got articles where GF and KS talk about how much they and their characters mean to each other. We've got a promo where Luke stands next to Tracy when Tracy and Laura come face to face. We've got Lulu pimping the hell out of LuNacy now (come on, that has to have taken all of us by surprise). Luke doesn't choose Laura - or else he would have done it this week and it would all be over. Ending LnL doesn't mean they have to crush LnL.
  5. Morning all, a few spoilers with your morning coffee.... nothing new but it's always nice to see things in print. Week of November 10th Tracy makes it very clear she is fighting for Luke. Laura tells Tracy she can give as good as she gets after Tracy tries to send Laura to France for treatment. It's Laura vs. Tracy Week of November 17th Tracy tells Luke their marriage is over. Luke/Laura and Tracy have some good meaty scenes coming up. from SD Seems the mob that ate PC is taking over again - lets hope they cull in the process and keep the stories of non-mobbies going with some sense of importance. SD is so obsessed with the Liason/LuSam/JaSam obsession and the Monavie scandal that's it's hard to see what's actually going on in the show.
  6. I'm beginning to wonder about that. I've noticed that the spoilers have been jumbled, that the dialogue doesn't necessarily match from day to day (most glaring was Lulu saying Tracy had left, etc.). Now I'm more convinced than ever that LuNacy won't be anything like we are anticipating. Tracy might walk away from Luke and have her meltdown with Alan, but they won't be apart for long. I think they are changing things a bit more than we suspect with regards to LuNacy. I can't wait until Tracy takes over lead on Monday. And I'm loving Lulu these days. She was the one who said Luke might choose Tracy - I'm thinking Lucky will never get the Spencer brain, but Lulu has one. I wonder if GV every gets tired of playing the dumb-Lucky. EDIT Totally just thinking about today in the face of LnLers and their futile desire for that kiss to mean something else.... I just remembered Luke telling Laura about the heart attack, and she was surprised that he had the surgery. Laura would have let Luke die last November. Doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy. Luke spoke about Tracy never giving up on him and never letting him give up on himself, that SHE was the one who finally convinced him to have the surgery. Tracy's under the impression that Lulu did that. I'm wondering if they are going to revisit any of that - Tracy might want to hear that she means life to him. And with that last sage thought, I'm off to bed.
  7. Sure it would. This week has been Luke and Laura ending their relationship. The week started with them seeing each other for the first time - Laura with Scott and Luke with Tracy. They've hashed it out, and Luke was not romantic with her all week. It was a sweet goodbye, putting the final bookend on the story. Starting Monday we get the next chapter - Luke's back with Tracy and everyone deals with the fact that for the first time in his adult life, Luke is not dropping everyone and everything for Laura. He told Tracy no one is second to her, and he's going to prove it... we just have to get through the weekend...
  8. I'm just glad you are on my side.
  9. I know. That's why I said you should all be glad I'm Canadian - of you wouldn't even have the recaps. I did a quick and dirty on SOC too.... let me just say I shouldn't type this much or this fast. My arms are aching. Do you appreciate what I do for you???? (INSERT SYMPATY HERE, NOT I TOLD YOU SO's)
  10. The kiss was definitely goodbye, and they both talked about their marriage/life together in the past tense. They had their own wake and it was very comfortable in the sadness of loosing something they thought would last forever. But honestly, Luke wasn't affectionate with her, he wasn't hiding his feelings for Tracy, he was suitably concerned for her and wondered what she would do with her life now. There was no rekindling of feelings, just an acknowledgement of what was and that they would always have a special part in each other's lives. I am 99.9% convinced that Luke is on the plane as a friend, Laura tells him she is on her own so thanks but no thanks, Luke says fine, that's the way she wants it and wishes her well. Lulu is already open to the fact that LuNacy might be the couple that walks out of this together, so during the conversation that Luke will have with Lulu, I'm sure Tracy mistakes what's said or will only hear part of it. There is nothing to fear from LnL. This closure had to happen so Luke can go back to Tracy without regret. This was the missing piece of LuNacy - Luke's end of LnL. It's happened. It was good.
  11. Wow.... can't remember the last time I recapped an entire week. I realize Tracy wasn't on Tuesday, but stuff related to her was. And so, without further ado.... and thank your lucky stars I'm Canadian, because I didn't get pre-empted. Today's Recaps (November 7, 2008) STATS Vets: Luke, Laura, Tracy Kisses: LnL kiss goodbye Stories: Carly tending to Sonny; Jax pushing the divorce; Jerry holding Sam; Kate still in hospital with Olivia and Claudia; Line of the Day: "Dad is very loyal to Tracy" from Lulu to the boys Sc. 1 - Laura is surprised that Luke looks shocked by her question. Laura says it's natural that they have to deal with uncomfortable questions considering he's with one woman and married to another, especially considering Luke was chasing her. Luke shakes his head and says he was chasing Baldwin because he was driving like a maniac. Laura stands up and walks away, saying Luke is good at finding a distraction. Luke is frustrated by her, so he stands and walks towards her saying "You were the love of my life, my Angel. I couldn't never replace you, you know that." Laura says he doesn't need an Angel any longer and she wonders if it's her or Tracy (this is the whining in the promo), but if he's really moved on then she can accept that. Luke, hopeful, asks if she really means that and Laura says she does. Sc. 2 - Laura says he doesn't get to answer a question with a question. Luke says he's still stalling, that the old braincells don't fire like they used to. Luke says every time he would visit he would get sad all over with the loss of her life, and nothing could stop him from loving her. Laura says she knows, but loving someone and making a life with them are two different things. She says they did have a life, Luke agrees that they always stayed on their toes. Laura acknowledges she's been off her toes for years and he's been living life without her. Luke says he always kept her with him. Laura says like a faded picture. She hates what has been taken from them, hates what they have lost, hates that they didn't grow together. Luke says she hates that they wouldn't have matching rockers on the porch. Laura laughs and says she would have had to nail him to his. But that is gone, and they both have to move forward because they can't go back to that. Luke asks if she's sure, and Laura looks shocked at his question. Sc. 3 - Tracy saying the wreck is a bad joke. They talk about finding Laura, and LnL vs. LuNacy. Lulu says she's watched LuNacy and knows they work in an interesting way, but Lulu says a triangle always leaves someone out and Tracy must not be happy about that. Tracy says why do you assume that's me? Lulu says why do you assume it isn't? The boys return saying they couldn't find them yet, and Lucky realizes something is off. Lulu says she's going with the boys now and Tracy says she's going back to the hotel to find a Martini and save one for Luke, then she asks help from one of the searchers. When she's gone Lulu tells them that Tracy thinks Luke will pick her, Lucky says that's delusional. Lulu says she doesn't know - Luke is very loyal to Tracy, and Nicholas backs that up. Then Lulu asks "what if he does choose Tracy?" Meanwhile Laura walks out of the cabin and Luke brings her a blanket. He starts revisiting and Laura doesn't want to go back. Luke says they have to because RW is where it all started. Laura says it wasn't Luke's fault, and Luke asks if it wasn't than who's was it? Laura hesitates. Sc. 4 - Laura says she doesn't blame Luke especially for getting sick. She just wants him to be honest (she's not honest about Scotty and RW, however), and to know where they stand because she can't make plans without knowing where they are. Luke says fine, what does she want to know. Laura asks if he really loves Tracy Quartermaine. Sc. 5 - Nicholas shows them search map. Lucky still the ass says maybe they shouldn't be too fast to find LnL. Lulu says they've got to find them, and LnL are probably hashing it out. Lucky says whatever happens is between the two of them, Lulu points out it's the three of them because Tracy is involved too. Lucky doesn't think Tracy stands a chance, and Lulu challenges him about love changing people. Lucky mades a snide remark and Lulu wonders if he's talking about Johnny - Lucky says she brought it up, he didn't. And look at Lucky and Liz, love doesn't always work. Lulu asks Nick if he would take Emily back and Nick says in a heartbeat, but they are talking about two unique people. Tracy walks into hotel and Scott says well, did that freeloading fox get away. Tracy says she hates LA. Tracy says it's all his fault, if he hadn't driven off like a maniac they all could have had a good brawl and hashed it out. Scott could have walked away into the sunset with Laura and she could be returning to the mansion with Luke, but now they all have to wait while Luke and Laura hash it out and no one knows where they are. Scott is drunk and continues to be an ass. Luke says he has to be honest, that he does have very strong feelings for Tracy that crept up on him. And when he faced his mortality it sealed the deal. He tells her about the heart surgery and it really scared him. Laura is shocked that he had the surgery in the first place. Luke says he didn't want to, but it was Tracy who convinced him to have the surgery - she didn't give up on him to and she wouldn't allow him to give up herself. It went to pure connection and his feelings for Tracy shocked him, much like seeing Laura shocks him now. Laura says it's shocked the doctors too, and she's considering it permanent. Luke asks her what she wants out of life and Laura asks Luke what he expects to hear. Sc. 6 - Luke says nothing stays the same, things and people change. One thing will never change and that's the place Laura holds in his heart, no one can every touch that. Luke says he can only imagine the lies Baldwin has told Laura, and she says he didn't lie. Laura says Scott only told her Luke was married to Tracy, that Scott wasn't always the villain - that they, no Luke - made him into that, that Scott reminded her how much they used to love each other. Then Laura walks away and Luke is left outside on his own. Sc. 7 - Luke returns to the cabin, and tells Laura that whatever happens she's the one angel he's known in his life. Laura says she's not an angel, that's just his fantasy of the perfect woman. Luke says he didn't want perfect, but she gave him something he didn't have before. Laura acknowledges that they were amazing, and Luke agrees that they were. Laura crying, kisses his hand and then they kiss goodbye.
  12. We do have the promo with her in today's outfit standing beside Luke in the hotel lobby. Was that promo for this week or next? Surprising, my ass. I really wish the writers of these rags had used some foresight and not teased the LnLers for these many years. Now they are screaming 'betrayal', when everyone who was open to the possibility knew it was going this way. I don't support them in their thinking that LnL should never end - no one is that entitled. But I do fell bad for them being used.
  13. Thanks MJ - my one artistic endeavor a day. Luke was certainly dancing around actually saying he loves Tracy - but I think tomorrow he will have no choice. Right now Laura is just pushing for an explanation, tomorrow I think she's taking it to 'Tracy Quartermaine of all people' levels. I hope Luke tells Laura how he truly feels about Tracy and doesn't undermine it just for Laura's feelings. She said she would rather be hurt then lied to - let's hope Lukey takes her at her word. As she's not chasing Luke and making Tracy's life miserable, she can stay or go. If she thinks she can make him fall all over her again, the b!tch is going down.
  14. She always was presumptious - look at how she could finally admit she thought Luke would pine for her forever. Tomorrow is the 'Tracy or me' challenge. I can't wait to see it play out. They were really good in that scene today - zero romantic chemistry, but like old friends who had come to a parting of the ways. I wonder how she gets from accepting that he's married to Tracy to actually challenging him to choose her over his real wife. And Tracy admitting she didn't have a clue what she should do, and that she thought perhaps she should emulate Lulu in her belief in Luke...impressive. I thought those moments were so telling.
  15. I realize that - and that's a great idea - I just like to give you the actual scene numbers for your ease. Yet ANOTHER poll at SOC about preferences between LnL and LuNacy. Don't bother anyone, I'm letting this go as LnL's last stand among their viewers. They aren't having a funeral exactly, but they are pretty quiet. Ratings number look good for the women 19-49, but where are the actually HH numbers? Hooked, for the millionth time could you give me BF's and JFP's direct lines again. (I've really have to write them down somewhere.)
  16. UP??? someone just posted on SOC that they were down. They on SD?
  17. Today's Recaps (Thursday, November 6th - Rusty's 4th Birthday) STATS Vets: Laura, Luke, Tracy, Anna Kisses: nothing Stories: Jason trying to figure out what happened to Sam; Sam kidnapped by Jerry; Luke and Laura talk; Sonny survives the night; Robin watch continues; Tracy and the screamers look for Luke and Laura Line of the Day: "Besides, you're family" Lulu to Tracy Sc. 1 - no Tracy; Next morning, Laura has locked Luke out and he's saying it's cold outside. Laura opens the door and glares at him. He says he doesn't want to press his luck, but can he get a cup of coffee. Laura slams the door in his face. Sc. 2 - no Tracy; Luke saying it's complicated and too hard to explain through the door, still asking for the coffee. Laura says she doesn't have to do anything for him, she's not his wife, Tracy Quartermaine - of all people - is his wife, so she doesn't need to do anything. Luke explains that it was a scam at first for money, and then one thing leads to another and well, he should have told her more of the truth. MORE, Laura yells, you should have told me all of the truth. Luke starts to cough and Laura tells him to knock it off. As Luke continues coughing Laura starts to wonder if he's scamming her or if he's getting sick. Sc. 3 - Tracy and the screamers at the site of the car crash. The police said the rain the previous night washed away the footprints, but evidence shows Luke and Laura were there and walked away. Tracy b!tches about nature saying she hates it, then sees the car and says it's not an accident site. The rest don't understand, and she says it's vintage Luke and Laura - it's a set-up to cover for them taking their romance on the road. Meanwhile at the cabin Luke is on the ground clutching his heart. Laura kneels down beside him and gets really concerned. He tells her he's had 3 heart attacks and he needs her help to get up. As she helps him he jumps up, runs into the cabin and starts laughing at her. Laura gets furious again and Luke says hate me all you want, but hate me to my face not through a door. Laura gets in his face and really glares at him, and Luke asks if he can have that coffee as he leans back from her aggression. It's actually quite comical. Sc. ? - no Tracy; Luke finally has his coffee and sits down with Laura. She doesn't want to hear the truth, but knows she has to. But she wants to go on the record saying she understands Luke moved on under the belief that she would never get well again. It hurts, but she does understand, she wanted to believe she was the only one he could ever love, but she knows that is selfish and unrealistic. She's not mad about his marriage to Tracy, and can he understand that. Luke says yes. Laura continues that she's mad he didn't respect her enough to tell her the truth. Luke's look is acknowledgement that she has every right to be mad at him. Sc. 6 - Lucky saying his parents wouldn't leave without them telling the kids, Lulu agrees that Luke has gotten much better at telling one of them where he was going. Tracy can't decide if Lulu is gullible or if she should emulate her step-daughter. The police say there are a number of cabins around and Nicholas suggests they start looking through them. Tracy says they can go but she's staying there, no more walking through the wilderness for her. Lulu says she'll stay with Tracy and the boys can go look. Tracy asks why this sudden concern, and Lulu says if she was paying attention she would know it isn't sudden concern, besides Tracy is family. Tracy is stunned as she looks at Lulu. Meanwhile at the cabin all humour is gone. Luke explains that when the doctors told him she would never recover he did move on. When the chance arose to awaken her for a short period of time, he had to really struggle and asked himself if he was doing it for Laura, or himself, or the kids. He didn't know. And when she woke up she wanted to marry him and he knows that was when he should have told Laura about Tracy. She was going to be awake for such a short time and he wanted to make her happy and not waste their time. Laura nods and says she gets it, it's sweet, it's romantic... but it's condescending to think she could never handle the truth. Sc. 7 - Tracy and Lulu at the crash. Lulu asks if she's checking for signs that Lulu sees dead people. Tracy laughs and says it's obvious Lulu has made a full recovery. Lulu says yes, thanks to her mom. Tracy says she's really glad Laura returned for Lulu. Lulu says it's great, but it must really be killing Tracy. What is she going to do about it, Lulu asks. Tracy looks wistfully away and says "I'll let you know when I figure it out". Meanwhile, Laura says it's infuriating to have chunks of your life missing, but it's even more infuriating having parts of her life kept from her. Luke says he just didn't want to hurt her. Laura says she would rather be hurt than treated like she couldn't handle it. Luke knows he should have handled it better. Laura then says she doesn't know how long she'll be awake this time, so rather than deal with the past lets deal with their problem right now. She's awake and he's married to Tracy, so should they be spending time together at all? Nex, I've mis-counted scenes somewhere, sorry. I'm sure of 1-3 and 6-7, but I'm not sure where I made the mistake.
  18. Lainey, it's a title, that's it. The guts of the article is TG in no uncertain terms saying LnL are finished as they were known, and will change into something else. I know most of it is directly from him because a couple of years ago another rag article repeated a conversation between Jane and Tony about loving two people being possible. We also have no idea how the entire story will play out and who knows what spin the rag wants to put on things with that title. Basically it was aimed to make people see that Laura comes out on top in the end, and isn't some cuckolded ex-wife. I have no problem with that, because the ultimate outcome is that she is gone from LuNacy Land. And Hooked, while I do think you a little too pessimistic in all of this, I do agree that Tracy will always have that fear in the back of her mind. She's come by that fear honestly and nothing Luke can say will every take that away. I think Luke is smart enough to know that and not take it personally. I find it interesting that TG underscored the word 'mature' in that interview. Some would argue that they are being drawn like buffoons, but I think things are changing and we will see a new LuNacy emerge.
  19. Works for me. And Hooked... bless you. That is the absolute best article I've read in a long while. I'm not in the least surprised that TG said all of that, but I'm still happy as a kid in a candy store about seeing it printed in a rag.
  20. Oh... so good to see. I've been waiting ages for good TraLu and for Lulu to start standing up for Tracy again. Ms. Q, do we have a stat on how many times this has happened in the past 3 1/2 years? At least once per 4-6 months. It's funny that the LnLers have grasped on to this spoilers and are using it as 'proof' that even Tracy knows Luke will never choose her. Meanwhile the rest of us are saying are you kidding? Tracy drops that one as often as she changes accessories. Oh... I hope we have a nice Thanksgiving this year - guess that answers the question of whether the Q's have their annual pizza party.
  21. Haven't seen it yet, but I've got to share that even some LnL fans aren't seeing the love. I am soooo convinced TG wants to end LnL and move forward with LuNacy. The long awaited reunion is not loving or emotional in the least. I know Hooked's theory on it all, and I respectfully disagree. I think we've got a whole lot more time on this ride. But regardless of which of us is correct, we will get rocking JE. I'm trying to get others calling/writing for LuNacy... EDIT Holy whining, Batman... I like the new outfit, and look who Lukey's standing beside. I think Tracy's insecurities will get the better of her, but Luke will convince her in the end. In replaying the promo, I realized that's two promos within two weeks that say 'final' with regards to Luke and Laura.
  22. Today's Recaps (Wednesday, November 5th) STATS Vets: Anna, Mac, Tracy, Scott (no Luke) Kisses: nothing Stories: Jerry holding Sam; Carly helping Sonny; Robin hemorrhaging; Nicholas in trouble with INS; Line of the Day: (After Mac listens to Spinelli's words of comfort about Robin) "I don't know what you just said, Spinelli" Sc. 1 - no Tracy Sc. 2 - no Tracy; Spencer kids trying to keep Nicholas in the country and out of jail Sc. 3 - Tracy at desk waiting for the car service to take her to the ELQ jet saying she doesn't want to loose her flight time, clerk points out she cancelled the last there cars. (aww... she is so torn between love and self-preservation) Tracy says yes she did, as the customer she has the right to do that, so call the damn car so she can get out of there and back to Port Charles where she can call her divorce lawyer ('cause like... you know... phones don't work in LA). Scott walks into the hotel at that point and the cops with him ask for Mrs. Luke Spencer - they tell her the car he was in with Laura went over the cliff. Tracy is stunned/horrified then walks over to Scott and hits him with her purse (I wish it was her fist), telling him it's all his fault. Sc. 4 - Screamers see Scott talking to Tracy, Lulu demands her mother. Tracy tells them the car went over the cliff with Luke and Laura. Scott confirms he doesn't remember what happened, he remembers a skid and Laura was in the car, then when he woke up Luke's cab was there and his car with Laura and Luke was gone. Lucky says he guesses they are supposed to conclude that Luke and Laura are together somewhere. Tracy is displeased and looks worried, but not scared. Sc. 5 - no Tracy Sc. 6 - Cop wanting Scott to recap his story, Scott saying that he and Laura had been enjoying the afternoon and were just coming back, Luke was probably drunk and started chasing them. Everyone reacts to Scott's comments about Luke and Lulu points out Scott was the one that drove Laura onto a cliff. Tracy wants to know about searching but apparently they are in a rough terrain, and the police are short of staff. Nicholas says he will pay for a search in the morning. No one is happy with how things are. Sc. 7 - no Tracy
  23. Things rarely play out as spoilers suggest. If Luke is talking to Lulu, he's talking about her mother, not necessarily his ex-wife, so there might be a whole lot more to that conversation that we don't know and/or that Tracy doesn't overhear. Perhaps he is reassuring Lulu that he won't just let Laura hang out to dry now that he's moved on. Who knows. I can understand him being annoyed that she eavesdrops only if she got things out of context. Luke knows that's business as usual for the Q's, and Tracy has eavesdropped on him before. I think Alan is there to help Tracy deal with her feelings of being betrayed by yet another unfaithful husband - but a real live Q will return for Thanksgiving.
  24. Morning all.... the world is very pleased with the choice you made yesterday. I was thinking of all of you while I watched last evening. Hooked, when is this pinch supposed to have happened - I want to go back and see for myself. BTW, public school kids might have voted with the populous, but homeschoolers had McCain at 80%. Completely different demographic. Looking forward to a Tracy day today. EDIT Intersting... this just popped up on SD... Did you read the yes/no stuff? I'll tell you this and then run. Luke and Lulu discuss Laura. Tracy overhears them and hears that Luke would have followed Laura anywhere. Up until that point she was very happy becuase she thought Luke stayed for her. This breaks her heart and she tells Luke it's over. He ignores that and returns to the Q mansion where he asks Big A for some help in getting alone time with Tracy. Luke then explains he loves both women but sees his future with Tracy. However, she does not believe him and declares the marriage over. Alan makes another appearance. EDIT AGAIN I can't get away from you hair people .... the Diva just looked over my shoulder at an old pic of Tracy and her exact words: "Oh, I like her hair. Why did she cut it, it looks better long." D'oh....
  25. 50% +1 seats gives you Majority Government, and there are 246 seats (or about that) For the past few elections we've had Minority Government, which means the party with the most votes forms the government (and their leader becomes Prime Minister), but the opposition can get together and topel the government - but only in matters of Finances and I can't remember what else. They can't bring down the government on simple political disagreement - it has to be major governing issues. We have 5 parties - Conservative, Liberal, New Democratic Party, Bloc Quebecois (only in Quebec), and Greens. EDIT The talking heads on CNN just said an Obama victory will have immediate effect on the world and will change people's perception of the US. That is very true.
