Oh I loved it. Thanks Lisa, that was a treat.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
I'm sick to death of 'wacky hijinks' - for LuNacy and everyone else. I was re-watching mini-vids in order to find a specific scene, and I was so struck by the interaction and facial expression between Tracy and Luke. I still believe they will be fine, but 2008 has NOT been a good LuNacy year. We've still got much of November and December, so lets hope we get something like last year at this time. Hopefully Luke will understand that wacky hijinks isn't the way to go this time around, and that there are some real emotions playing out.

I think the writers aren't paying any attention to the scripts they've been writing. Lucky told Nicholas about Jake - but he knew months ago courtesy of Lulu. Liz told Jason that she and Lucky told Laura AND Luke about Jake - but Luke was with Tracy at the time so he didn't hear about Jake. The Lucky/Nick one was awhile ago, but this is now two goofs about Luke/Tracy during this story. First they had Lulu saying Tracy left, when she didn't. And now Luke told about Jake, when that didn't happen. I'm wondering what's going on. They changed stories for LuNacy, so where are they going with this? Damn... Kelly's is being burned. I knew it was a problem when they showed Mike serving Morgan dinner and cookies early in the show. Luckily Maxie was there to see it happen.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Oh my friends, the Jane love just keeps coming and coming.... All from SoapZone: A lesson in acting... For all those subpar newbies and Guza favorites that have taken over GH, take a look at Jane Elliot on today's episode. A ball of force, passion and heartbreak about to combust. Jane acts from her finger tips to her toes! Brava, Jane. Brava... Guess what? Vets are where it's at! It is my preference that Luke fully acknowledge his love for Tracy, but that he have to work for her this time. She understands him so well, but he has to prove himself this time. I'd love for Tracy to offer him a divorce, or even to divorce him outright, to set him free. Then I'd want him to follow his heart right back to her. Laura is his yesterday and Tracy is today and tomorrow. Jane Elliot was amazing today! When Tracy broke down and cried it shocked the hell out of me, it was so unexpected, and so powerful! Of course Genie & Tony were great too, but Jane Elliot just blew me away. Those 10 seconds said so much. I love JE! She's 10x better then GF Jane Elliot is amazing every day ...

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Interesting... Port Charles celebrates Thanksgiving - not just Patrick or Scrubs... Lainey, I did see things differently than you, which is fine. Thing is we aren't done, today was only the ewcbo leaving, not the end of this story. I've been around enough men in my life to know they compartmentalize things and don't see the connections women do. To a man obligation is a viable reason to do something, and don't see it as being dis-loyal to the woman in their lives. Men's thinking is very easy: don't commit unnecessarily, always have an out-clause, and keep different parts of your life seperate. I realize this is an over-simplification and we all know men who think differently, but this is true for many if not most. It doesn't mean they don't commit and love deeply, its that they do it differently than women. In fact the 'I owe you' was Laura's final smack-down, and her face registered the hit. She's #2 for the first time in her entitled life.

Today's Recaps (Wednesday, November 12th) STATS Vets: Mac, Tracy, Laura, Luke Kisses: face-kissing goodbye, not tonsil hockey between LnL Stories: Tracy smacks down Laura; Carly giving Sonny an alibi; Jason rescues Sam; Jerry goes boom (we didn't see the explosion); screamers say goodbye to Laura Line of the Day: "...and best of all, Luke doesn't have to be the hero - he can be himself!" Sc. 1 - Laura tells Tracy not to underestimate her because she will fight for what's hers. Tracy walks casually away with her drink saying Luke isn't Laura's - she missed that during her recovery, obviously. (there was more but Zion pitched a fit). Sc. 2 - Laura asks Tracy if she thinks Luke would be better without her. Tracy says she does, she's heard all the stories about the great Luke and Laura and that makes her want to gag - but that's another conversation. Laura says something stupid and Tracy says that's not the story? Because as far as she understands, Laura wanted the house and the white picket fence and Luke wanted to run away. Laura challenges that Tracy will never understand her relationship with Luke, and can't understand why Tracy thinks her relationship with Luke works. So Tracy says fine, she'll tell her. They are both cynics, they have an appreciation for the absurd, they keep each other interested, it's not the mutual obsession that Luke and Laura shared, but it works for Tracy and the trade off for Luke is he doesn't have to be the hero, he gets to be himself. Laura looks stung and says okay, and turns away then back. Then tells Tracy not to kid yourself, Luke will always love Laura, but thanks Tracy for her time. Tracy told her everything she wants to hear, and so she will be leaving now. Once she's gone Tracy covers her face with her hands and dissolves into tears. Sc. 3 - Sitting on the sofa beside Lulu, Tracy asks why she's there. Lulu says she's there to talk to Tracy about Luke. Tracy tells her it's not her business. Lulu says she's in the room and she's going to have her say. She thanks Tracy for getting through to her father to have the surgery. Tracy brought her dad back to life and she wants to thank her. Tracy sarcastically says, "but.... don't let the door hit you on the way out". Lulu says no, that's not what she means at all. She says Tracy can't hold a candle to Laura. Tracy interrupts and says she's heard that song before. Lulu just smiles kindly at her and continues, saying when Tracy first married her father she hated it, but she's come to know Tracy and understand the place she holds in Luke's life. Tracy wonders where she's going with all of this. Lulu says she just wants Tracy to understand how much she means to all of them, and is wondering how she's going to be when Luke goes with Laura. Tracy smiles back and says thank you for your concern, but Luke has changed and she's now the perfect woman for him. Lulu looks surprised, saying Tracy sounds very confident in herself. Tracy then says they'll all just have to see, won't they. Meanwhile Laura returns home and asks Lucky to find Nick and Lulu, she wants a family meeting. Lucky goes off and Laura turns to Luke saying she has been to see his wife, and it's safe to say that she and Tracy understand each other. Luke says obviously because she's still standing. Laura shoots back that so is Tracy, and she's made if very clear she's not handing Luke over. Luke, annoyed, says no one is in the position to hand him over to anybody. So the only question is what do we do about us. Laura looks resigned. Sc. 4 - no Tracy; Laura says there's no doubt in her mind that if she went to the mat with Tracy over Luke, she would win. She says the bond is still there between them and with time it would flare up again. But now isn't the time for them. She says Tracy made a really good point, saying Luke has changed and moved on. Laura says it's time for her to do the same. The screamers come and Laura tells them she's going to pursue her therapy and see if there's something permanent out there for her. She wants the shot at a real life so she's going to France to see what can happen. Luke smiles at her understandingly. Sc. 5 - no Tracy; Lucky wishes her well, and Laura says her old life is lost to her but she can make a new life. Lucky asks about Luke, and Laura says he's married to someone else now and she wishes him well. Laura says she's got to accept that because life doesn't freeze, you have to roll with the punches. Lucky tells Laura about Sam, and offers for them to visit her in France. Later Nicholas comes in and he's made all arrangements for France, and he has his goodbye scene. Sc. 6 - no Tracy; Lulu's turn - they talk about Johnny , and other stuff. Luke comes in and asks if she's ready to go. Nicholas offers to fly them all to Paris for a visit, and Laura requests 'all the significant others and all the children - they'll show Paris what the Spencer Invasion is about'. Then Luke takes her suitcases and follows her out of the house. (He's pretty emotionless, actually - has been throughout the day except when he got annoyed with Laura 'handing' him over and smiled when she decides to focus on her recovery.) On tarmac, Luke stands with Laura. Laura says he hasn't said a word. Luke says he's at a loss, she comes and goes and comes and goes.... Laura says that's why Paris so she can stick around for awhile. She continues to say it does her heart good to see that Luke is so peaceful. If Tracy Quartermaine has done that for him, then she's grateful. Luke says she's very generous and what she said about the bond still holds, so, IF SHE NEEDS HIM TO GO TO FRANCE WITH HER HE WILL GO. Sc. 7 - Laura says wow, he hasn't lost his skill with the curve ball. Luke says he's spent a lifetime dragging her from hell and back and he owes her. Laura asks what he'd do in France - he has nothing in France for him. So Luke asks what she needs from him. Laura says she wants him to be well. Luke says he'll try to do that for her, and if she needs him... Laura interrupts and says she'll try really hard to not do that. The kiss each other's faces a bit. She says she loves him, then Laura turns to leave. Luke calls after her and asks if the treatment works, will she come back? Laura shrugs her shoulders and turns to leave. Luke sighs as he watches her go, then says "Good-bye, my Angel". On the plane Laura looks out the window. Scott comes in through the curtain. Laura obviously senses someone is on the plane with her and she slowly turns to face him but it's FTB before she sees who it is. (Note: Luke didn't say 'will you come back to me?') My opinion: We've been vindicated. Tracy is the winner and Luke made his decision long before today. Tracy may doubt it, but Laura knows the truth. No one decided anything for Luke - and Laura's choice was not to push it.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Oh sweetie, I knew you were off but I didn't know you were dealing with this. I hope you get better soon. Oh good point - she would bust him ten ways from Sunday if he phoned it in. I often wonder if he understands Tracy's porcupine nature so well that there are ways to approach her, and being lovey wouldn't fly right now. She respects truth far more than sentiment, and he's giving her that truth. We might what the cuddles and the 'sweethearts' and the ILYs and the kisses, but Tracy would call it crap and want the hard cold reality.
-
The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
You know, just musing - since I have nothing else to do Luke has once again skirted the issue with Laura and told Tracy the complete TRUTH. I wish he would tell her a whole lot more, and be much more effective in conveying that he truly loves her and wants to be with her. But he did just cut to the chase with her. Meanwhile Laura might get the poetry but she certainly doesn't get the reality. I'm also wondering if that scene between Luke and Tracy was actually aimed at giving Tracy the knowledge that Luke was staying with her. TRACY telling Laura that Luke has already told her he's staying, would be priceless. And Tracy has the word on Laura going to France as proof that Luke told her himself. Still can't shake the feeling that 'Laura chooses to leave' is more about regaining her dignity then actually making the decision for all of them, and after yesterday I'm more convinced then ever.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Good for Tracy. I hope she really lays it out for Laura today. It's about time that blonde left with her tail between her legs. As for GHH2, they rarely have Tracy scenes mentioned on her day - the focus on that site is elsewhere. From GHH2 Luke and Johnny play a game of cards and make a deal to get the Haunted Star open again. Guess they know about Logan and all is forgiven. Tracy overhears Luke admitting to Lulu that it was Laura's decision to leave him behind. There's more to this. It's too pat. Luke keeps saying 'they know my choice' and 'there's no choice' to suddenly go to 'it's Laura's choice' is off. Perhaps he's trying to explain things to Lulu, because he has always put himself lower and elevated Laura in his daughter's eyes. Tracy either mis-hears or doesn't hear the entire conversation. Tracy declares that her marriage is over. Alan doesn't think so! Good for Alan! As her conscience he knows all. Luke insists he will not let Tracy go. Damn straight, he better. And there better be lots of emoting after this apathetic crap. But I do believe that Tony is retiring and that eventually it won't end well for anyone--I am really wondering if he will go out in a blaze or glory...leaving Laura free to stick around canvas from time to time. We'll see. I'm writing and calling demanding proper story for LuNacy/Tracy/Luke - he's such a major part of the canvas and it wouldn't be that hard to write for him properly. I mean Monica had an entire alcoholic/rehab story off air. Ewww, been there, done that - but not with an 8 year old.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
With the say yesterday was rushed, who knows anything for sure. I always thought it a little hinkey that "Tracy" was supposed to arrange the doctor but Laura goes anyway. When Laura confronted her yesterday she did look surprised for a second before she put her Q on, so I'm convinced Tracy had nothing to do with it. Laura is just used to seeing her as the 'bad guy'. If Luke arranged it, he did a good job at looking surprised. Lucky still looking like the village idiot.

Point..... but I'm in the 'fat lady singeth' category. I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet, and I want to keep you around ('cause you're so fun and warm and fuzzy and all ).

Hang tough, Lain... they aren't done by a long shot. Just one more day of this nauseating ewcbo-propping and we can get on with things.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Oh, that's too funny. I'm glad to see I was wrong. Luke better get off his ass and tell her soon, because I'm tired of Tracy/LuNacy not making the cut on this one. They better do this right, is all I'm saying. Tracy has done all the giving, Luke has done all the professing, and they have yet to meet in the middle on any of it. I know Jane/Tony can make the screen sizzle when they want to - so why aren't they? This ewcbo propping is giving me a tooth ache - and the fans all over the net are so into Laura-love it makes me want to gag. I want nothing more than to see Tracy wipe that smug look from Laura's face. If the confrontation continues tomorrow I hope it heats up. So far it's Tracy 2- Laura 0.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
TG said Luke's future is with Tracy - I'm not sure if we're expecting Luke to say it directly to Tracy, or even Lulu. As for the name thing, I get it. It's not that they said her entire name, it's the way Laura said it in a snarky tone, and said Tracy Quartermaine. She's actually Tracy Quartermaine Spencer, or Tracy Spencer. And as of this moment Tracy is the only one entitled to the Spencer name - Laura is a Webber, just like Elizabeth.

Truke... thank you. I need that. Good to see others are seeing things outside of the LnL bubble.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Today's Recaps (November 11th) STATS Vets: Luke, Laura, Lesley, Tracy, Mac Kisses: nada Stories: New day; Sonny in jail; CarJax discuss their marriage; Spin and Jason search for Sam; Jerry and Sam continue their game; Spencer bring Laura home; Johnny and Lulu reunite; Line of the Day: Spin to Jerry "Evil doer, prepare to be vanquished" Sc. 1 - No LuNacy Sc. 2 - no Tracy; Luke takes Laura back into her house to see Lesley; Luke doesn't want to talk about about Scott so Laura suggests they talk about Tracy instead. Luke looks uncomfortable. Lesley said she was against it from the beginning, but once she saw how happy Laura was she kept her mouth shut. Suggestions about a family celebration, Laura says no fanfare, and Lesley announces she will cook. French doctor shows up, saying Laura has to return to France right away for tests and further therapy. Luke looks shocked. Sc. 3 - Kids think Laura should stay here and don't want her leaving. Nicholas is the voice of reason saying he should, Lulu agrees with Nicholas. Lucky wants him staying. Luke is walking around in the background saying nothing. Lesley is LnL pimping (gag). Laura asks his opinion about Paris. Luke says she's awake, healthy and beautiful, and he wants her to stay that way. Laura asks about 'us'. Luke says he's still trying to get his head wrapped around the fact that she's awake, so he thinks the best idea is to savour the moment and take things as they come. (They are doing one hell of a job making it look like Laura is his choice.) Sc. 4 - Johnny and Lulu back together, Luke not with Laura so lets hope he's finally gone home; Nasty boy Jerry knocks Spinelli out.. Sc. 5 - Luke has gone home. Edward and Alice welcome him home and offer a drink. Tracy is watching from the window. Edward is happy that he's saved Laura, and thinks Luke would leave now. Luke wants to speak with Tracy alone. Edward tells Tracy to stand firm and not let him weasel his way back into her life. Tracy tells them not to listen at the door. Once they've gone Luke says he's sorry for everything that's he's put her through. Tracy gets angry saying the four were practically giddy with joy at Laura's return, so where does that leave her? Luke says she knows exactly where that leaves her. Laura is going to France and he's staying with Tracy. "Oh goody, I get to make a meal out of crumbs. When do I get to come first, Luke?" Tracy challenges him. Luke just stands there looking at her. (I'm not liking Luke right now). Nick introduces Laura to Nadine. Sc. 6 - no LuNacy; Lucky brings Elizabeth and they tell her about Jake; Laura gets a call from Paris and says "really, well I'm not entirely surprised". Sc. 7 - Tracy on the phone saying she won't be filing for divorce and she's sorry Edward wasted their time. Laura walks in and says she understands Tracy is married to Luke and is trying to understand, but Tracy had no business to getting a phony doctor to come to her house. Tracy says Laura is getting paranoid. Laura continues to say Tracy had no business manipulating Luke, her mother, her children or her. Tracy says Laura should go to the clinic and see if they can help her.... (And my blasted children decided to have a fight right beside me and I lost the last part - but Tracy looked superior. And honestly, if that was the 'confrontation where Laura gives as good as she gets', then someone has no idea what they are doing.) My opinion: I know Luke chooses Tracy, and I know TG wants LuNacy, but I am really getting pissed by how little emotion he's showing with Tracy. We've all seen the incredible magic between TG/JE, but right now he's acting with Tracy like she has no meaning. I'll continue to carry the banner high, but I'm not happy with how TPTB are pimping LnL and doing nothing for LuNacy.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
And they're back to the violence crap? These last 2-3 weeks were the best GH has been in ages, and the ratings have jumped. I really hope the 'violence sweeps' tank comparatively. That along with constant comments on the fan lines, will hopefully end this farce and return them to what people want to see. I know there are fans of the mobbies and all that violence, but generally they are few and far between. Sonny's scenes with Carly in the bed last week and arguing yesterday, were some of the best I've seen of him in ages. Killing Karpov was awful (even though I do know Karpov had to go - he should never have been brought on to begin with). There really does seem to be two sweeps - the Family Sweeps and the Mob Sweeps. I hope that wasn't the compromise. BTW, I was watching yesterday again. Did anyone notice how Luke and Tracy leaned into each other just as Laura approached them? Spoilers are always misleading. I hope the idiots aren't going to ruin this solid person in Tracy's life - she deserves to have the man of her choice.
-
The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
I figured you'd weigh in like this. Luke did tell Lulu - she said Tracy would cause a fight and Luke said there wouldn't be a need for a fight. Laura had her goodbye, Tracy had her hello. Lulu's got control of the Spencer brain.... it's all good. And Laura..... man did Tracy read her. Because I'm typing during the show I don't get to see all of the nuances, but did you see her eyes and mouth? There was NO WAY Laura's words matched her attitude. She was so condescending to Tracy, and Tracy just called her on it. Perfection!
-
The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Yup, and I don't think TG is throwing anyone under the bus - certainly not Jane. I think he's playing it as a man who's conflicted yet clear, and wanting to keep everyone in a good place.
-
The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Wait for it... see how it plays out. Remember "Laura confronts Luke about neglecting their kids" was an offical spoiler too.... that didn't happen.
-
The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
They do seem to be rushing it. This is some of the meaty stuff - not the days long drive to the end of LnL that happened. Isn't Laura leaving Thursday?
-
The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
You're welcome - and that did annoy me, but I think that was more of Luke not wanting to hurt Laura more, and perhaps Luke not 100% sure how Tracy would react. They last thing he would need at this point is for Tracy to get her Q on with him. When he came in he came in alone, gave Tracy that knowing look with grin, and then stood by her side. They didn't need words to convey what the other hoped to be true. Besides, Tracy isn't a PDA kind of person, so hopefully we will get their affection in private. Spoilers do say Tracy is happy - and she's happiest with Luke.
-
The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Yes... I did forget that. Thanks for correcting me. She was in fine style - the attitude of the victor! (That's what happens when the screamers stand at my elbow and say "I'm hungry, it Tracy over yet?" just as the show ends.)

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Today's Recaps (November 10th) STATS Vets: Luke, Laura, Tracy, Scott, Anna, Mac Kisses: LnL (blah) Stories: Sonny in the aftermath of killing Karpov; Jax giving Carly divorce papers; Laura reunited with her kids; Jerry plays with Sam's head; Jason and Spinelli search for Sam; Scrubs/Emma drama; Luke reunites with Tracy Line of the Day: Luke to Lulu: "They both know my choice" Sc. 1 - no Tracy; LnL kissing, Luke hugs her and says he's missed her so much. They kiss again and Lulu calls for her mother. Reunion with the screamers. Laura says she can't believe her whole family is together - it's a miracle. Laura hugs Lulu again as Luke looks on and smiles understandingly. Sc. 2 - no Tracy; Laura gushing over the boys, Nicholas says Laura is the amazing one and seems like she has completely recovered. Laura says 24 hours with Luke will do that, Luke says "back at you... Darling". Laura says she promises to tell them if she feels like she's regressing as long as they promise to never lie to her again for her own good. Luke looks responsible for the lies. Sc. 3 - Nicholas calls for chopper. Laura gives them grief for lying about Tracy, and Luke says they didn't know until after that the wedding was 'symbolic'. Laura says 'fake' is the word you're looking for. She says she knows everyone was doing it for her own good, but don't do that again. She wants to know the truth about her life and the kids'. Privately Lulu asks Luke if he's back together with Mom, where does that leave Tracy. Luke just looks at her as the chopper comes. Then they move out towards it. Tracy gets the call that they are okay, the kids found them. Scott says they are coming back and Luke has Laura. That leaves them out in the cold, then he turns to Tracy and says since LnL have reunited that maybe they can reignite the flame they once shared. Tracy smiles at him and says he's giving up too easily. Why are they in LA again? Right, because he couldn't let Laura go. Scott says the milk has gone sour, and he's not going to lick it up. LnL will go off into the sunset, Scott will return and arrest lots of people and Tracy will go somewhere and drink [something I've never heard of]. Sc. 4 - No LuNacy Sc. 5 - Tracy and Scott in the lobby, Scott says she looks nervous. He continues to say they've probably stopped of for a big family feast to get married again. Tracy says people change and she's now the perfect woman for Luke. Scott thinks she's dreaming. The Spencers walk in uncomfortably and Luke has a slight grin as he looks at Tracy (it's the rascally grin I love so much). Tracy says it's nice to see them all in one piece. Lulu nervously says they were lucky and found them in one of the cabins. Nicholas says why doesn't he arrange for everyone to go home and perhaps have a warm shower, as he puts his arm protectively around Laura. Luke agrees that a shower would be a good thing. Laura says not to handle her, she's not leaving until she's said hello to Luke's new wife. Then she walks up to Tracy and Tracy smiles at her. Luke is standing beside Tracy and the tension is very thick. Sc. 6 - No LuNacy Sc. 7 - Everyone in the lobby breaking off into pairs. Scott walking about drinking. Lucky tells Nicholas they have to break the conversation up before it gets ugly. Nicholas says they should just let everything alone. Lulu asks Luke if he is going to intervene and tell everyone about his choice. Luke says that both women know his choice. Laura wants to thank Tracy for taking Lulu into her home and treating her like family. Tracy says she would do anything for Lulu. Laura then continue to offer her apology for the wedding when she woke up two years before, saying it must have been very difficult for her. Tracy says yes, it was. Laura (who can't leave well enough alone) continues to say it was very generous of Tracy. Tracy gets her Q on and steps into Laura's personal space with her superior smile saying "I'm not generous", then walks away. Laura is left looking stunned and foolish. My opinion: Tracy is right, and knows her place is secure in Luke's life. I think that smile between them conveyed everything she needed to know. But the LnL saccharine with the screamers is a bit OTT. Be prepared to be disgusted by a lot of today's show - and if you have a bent towards LuNacy pessimism it's only going to feel worse.
