  1. Because this whole moment is worth reposting. Multi-tasking!
  2. I don't know! Is it Denise? Season 7 Dorit? Eden Sassoon? Kyle's personal trainer? I think her name is Tessy Meddling Avocado...?
  3. Uh oh. The Coven seems to be pushing for one of their minions to be allowed back into the fold. Maybe as a replacement if Garcelle leaves? (FYI "Dorritt" seems to be part of this mess, too). Tessy Meddling-Avocado: "We're going to best friends forever and ever, right, guys? You won't forget me when I'm no longer on the show, right?" The good thing about Kathy is that she is eccentric and isn't thirsty about getting a diamond. The bad thing is that she is going to keep personal sh!t locked up TIGHT. There is a reason she chose to be a FOH -- reality TV at arm's length. She was sharp with Kyle in earlier seasons because Kyle spilled on camera about Kim's drinking (not that it wouldn't have come out anyway), and Mauricio left the Hiltons to start up his own agency. That is water under the bridge now, and she is here to back Kyle in the filler scenes. Any animosity between them will be dealt with away from the cameras. Or swept under the rug. Kim didn't like her personal stuff laid out there either. The difference with Kathy is that Kim's defense mechanism is to threaten Kyle with spilling her secrets. That is why Kim was an unpredictable watch in seasons 1-5. We never knew what she was going to pull out of her hat.
  4. Another good bit at NJ reunion was Jennifer handling Melissa and Marge, and then turning to Jackie and saying "MERRIAM WEBSTER WHERE YOU AT?" I died! Jackie looked legit shocked at the callback.
  5. BH: Good première though they leaked all the juicy scenes beforehand. How much more plastic surgery can Kyle's face take? She is literally turning into an aging Kim Kardashian if she cisels anymore of her nose off. Crystal's house gave me old school Colombo vibes and she seems pleasantly messy. I'm here for it and all the house porn this episode. Even Dorit's house looks impressive! Unsure about Kathy at the moment, and I wish Kim could gave rejoined as well. Garcelle needs help keeping up the pressure on Rinna. Garcelle's hair braided in an LV scarf gave me life BTW. NJ: Team T(oughies). I know Tre is a neanderthal and hits hard, but it's so preferable to Team Fake and their insufferable smugness. This group really deluded themselves into thinking that they are the 'good ones' that the audience roots for. I'm sort of over Joe Gorga showing out too. Also they demand Tre dump on her ex but are happy to sit back and watch Jackie go for Teresa? Where is the 'fambly loyalty' there? Jennifuh came ready to play and I loved every broadside she threw at Team Fake. And when Teresa made the plumber reference and Margaret did Erika's 'Or what? Or what?' snarl? It was like the mask slipped. Margaret is really unlikeable. And all 3 are cowards. None dares confront Teresa directly, so they go extra hard at Jennifuh trying to get her fired. It's not fun seeing 3 people gang up on one person, but Jennifer barely breaks a sweat putting them in their place.
  6. I missed it too. I assumed Leah wasn't pro-Tr*mp because she tore Ramona a new one for partying maskless with members of the T entourage. And she seems like she wants to be seen as progressive and 'with it.' Faulkner, it was like she was right there, though, contributing as much as she always does! Honestly I can't tell the difference!
  7. I think I heard that it was Sonja who got Covid towards the end of shooting. Wait, and didn't Leah call out Ramona for partying with Douche Jr's girlfriend infecting people, and then ended up getting Covid herself? Or did I imagine that?
  8. RHONY hit its groove this episode. It felt right where it should be and the editing process allowed every beat to play out (unlike some other RH shows we could mention). Eboni currently is playing The White Girl Whisperer but I have to imagine that is going to wear thin soon once Ramona, Sonja and Luann keep repeatingtheir mistakes. Luann will be the slipperiest. Nevertheless, I felt that she can handle Ramona and Sonja well, and she was essentially the voice of the audience watching Sonja spiral. Sonja has more going on than she is saying and I bet it's serious money issues. It's not that I wasn't lowkey triggered by what Leah was trying to do, getting the army all aligned against Heather. It's that I could see that she and Luann are in cahoots and doing the stirring together. Luann was more than ready to jump on that bone, and she will be helping to bring Heather down. We all heard the podcasts Heather did about her time on the show, and it looks like she won't be backtracking from her statements, so I'm excited to see her bring receipts. I'm only bummed that this forced her out earlier than planned.
  9. @Chris B If MElissa thought Jennifuh was going to take that lying down, she really does not know the Queen of Queens. Jennifuh called Bethenny 'the cryptkeeper' on WWHL to Andy's face. She is scared of no-one.
  10. @Taoboi omg I want to watch RHONY so much now! Ugh, why must I be in a different time zone. And you absolutely must do everything you can to catch up with Seasons 1-6! You will not be disappointed, I promise you. RHONJ: Melissa didn't want the BH premiere to overshadow NJ Reunion tonight! She also didn't want Jennifuh to overshadow her fake ass. Team Fake really underestimated Jennifer's popularity with the fans.
  11. Interesting tidbit about her QVC dusters being discounted. In the past year or so, Rinna has subtly indicated some discontent with Bravo, and TBH I wasn't sure why. After all, they got rid of her arch-enemy LVP, and she & Erika have the rest of the cast (with the possible exception of Garcelle) running scared. Honestly surprised she didn't join All-Stars to cement her place in the RH canon. This QVC thing might explain why... BH isn't bringing in the dividends Rinna anticipated. (Certainly I haven't seen her crotchlings' 'fashion line' anywhere). And @Faulkner I resent myself for it as well! It feels like I'm supporting Evil by watching, lol (OK, that may be a bit much, but anyway). I hope Garcelle and Sutton won't put up with the spidery machinations, and that the jig may be up for some of these women. Andy once told Rinna she was "very Marco Rubio in her talking points" and it's still an apt description. Like those kind of politicians, Rinna doesn't seem to believe in anything she says, and is consequently shameless in the stuff she puts out there. Honestly, Rinna and Erika have morphed into their TV personas: terrifying, glossy holograms, parroting a lot of empty words. S6 Eileen became a tits-on-an-ant nag. I actually liked her more S7 -- except for the way she backed Rinna in all things. It slipped under the radar at the time, but the way Rinna treated a vulnerable Eden (drawing her in, winding her up, using her as a pawn, then gaslighting and abandoning her) was beyond the pale. I would have expected someone as empathetic as Eileen to not be OK with this, but instead she brutally shut down Eden's ability to verbalise any of this at reunion. Don't get me started on the hall-pass she gave Rinna to harass Kim for years. I would have been OK with Eileen staying on the show during that dud of a S8, though.
  12. @FrenchBug82 It almost felt like Garcelle was prodding Rinna to admit on camera that she had basically sold out her personal relationships for a TV show. There was a second where Rinna raised her voice and the talking doll almost came alive. I sometimes wonder if Rinna would have turned on Eileen had she stayed on the show. Probably. @Taoboi the fact that she's singing Feelin' Jovani in that gif as she dances is what gets me! I didn't know Ramona was a fan of Luann's discography. Come to the dark side @Faulkner !💅
  13. @Taoboi Eboni whetting our appetite for the next few episodes And ooooof! Juicy RHOBH clip! Garcelle holds Rinna's feet to the fire! "I'm not going to disagree." I'd be stunned if Rinna had any friends left in LA.
  14. Good to hear! Honestly, I could watch Sonja and Ramona trying to figure out the heating system for Ramona's pool for hours.
  15. Mare of Easttown. No spoilers please -- I'm only on Episode 3! The community it depicts and their ties to each other really elevates this drama above simple murder procedural. Kate Winslet usually annoys me but I think she's doing ok here and not being too showy with her acting. Also Jean Smart is in this. ❤️
  16. Heather (and Carole) have spilled some big tea about Luann on various podcasts, so if anybody should have an issue with Heather, it's Lu. For whatever reason, she has never really commented on it, which says to me (A) Heather knows where the bodies are buried, and (B ) Lu will confront Heather if she wants to and when she is good and ready. I'm not sure why Leah is wading in here, except for relevancy, but by the same token... Heather vs Leah kind of excites me as a SL? We have been teased this for months! I am waiting to see what this mess is about. Yes, I love Heather and yes, Leah is a manipulative know-it-all. However, sometimes Heather can be a sanctimonious know-it-all, too! Moreover, Leah is trying to drum up some drama on the show, and I can't completely fault that. The problem with this particular drama is, the OGs don't seem like they really care to instigate (it's their beef to have), and Heather doesn't care to keep it alive. So Leah is likely to fall flat on her face. Again, I am ready to watch all this play out!
  17. This makes me a little sad. Most of the cast hate Karen and would love to isolate her right off the show. Its the Manzo Manœuvre, after S2 of RHONJ. Caroline, Dina, Jaqueline and Teresa wanted Danielle Staub iced off the show and refused to film with her. Danielle's position became untenable. (The karma that came knocking for the other women is a discussion for another time!). Did we already post this BH clip? So much to unpack! Erika and Rinna's speeches literally crawl with insincerity. Garcelle's facial reactions are everything.
  18. Yeah. The bio reads Overgrown Fratboy. What made me laugh was 'Anti-Neo Con Foreign Policy.' Oh, is he a policy wonk? A military-strategy enthusiast, maybe? No, he's merely telling us what kind of Republican he is. And hint: it's not a Bush Republican. I'm disappointed in Court too. He genuinely seems devoted to his family. But I guess people like that always come across as great -- as long as you never challenge or question them. Like @Chris B I don't even love Kenya like that, but ITA that she was made an example of while the white HWs skated off without even a slap on the wrist. Bravo doesn't even know how lucky it is to have Kenya. She is a company girl, keeping the pot stirring, haters invested and fans talking. Volunteering for All-Stars when other HWs got sniffy about money. And yet Bravo treats her so poorly, like she's expendable. And she is really not. God, I may be turning into a Kenya fan asddfghhjjjkkk.
  19. @DaytimeFan he calls himself bruh? Clearly an entitled, epic douche all the way around.
  20. The fact that Tiffany had to lawyer up kind of worries me, actually. That possibly suggests that her practice/hospital got wind of the tweets and sat Tiffany down for a formal meeting. No hospital likes a medical malpractice suit, or a question-mark over a physician's sobriety. Re-reading Chart Westcott's ( could there be a more entitled name in existence?) tweet, it really oozes rich-boy power. He wanted to let the too-big-for-her-britches Asian doctor know that he can kill her career if he so chooses. And all this because Tiffany didn't congratulate Kam on the new house??
  21. Not crusty ole Simon being the entry point by which an ex-HW gets back onto RHOA! WTF is in the water in Atlanta?? Look at Sheree all excited to be sitting in First Class! LOL @ the comments speculating that Sheree might steal SG from Porsha!
  22. I assume you mean at the end of S2 when he was shot and she went to cradle him ahead of checking if the young dude she'd just boned was ok? (Because S3 ended differently). Yeah, I feel like Alan Cubitt fell prey to that old Hollywood trope where the investigator & killer are two sides of the same coin. In S3, Gibson did say that she saved Spector's life because she wanted him to stand trial for the women he killed and get a life sentence for it. But it was clear at the end of S2 that she made a choice between her lover and him, which is 😬 whichever way you look at it. I feel like S3 started going somewhere else and then halfway through turned left, and they kind of swept that whole event under the carpet. They also drew a visual comparison between Stella having been beaten up by Spector, and Katie harming herself on her arm. I feel like the series from the very beginning invited comparison and established commonalities between the hunters and the hunted.
  23. Don't blame her one bit. She may have sensed where the wind was blowing with regards to RHOD's renewal (or lack thereof). But mostly this is about the Westcotts trying to ruin her professional reputation. So she chose her very fine medical career over the low-rated sh!t-show. Her hospital may even have told her 'It's Bravo or us' and she made the right choice. Her parents will no doubt be thrilled. And obviously the lawsuit hanging over her husband's family. Nobody wants TV scrutiny on that one. I think this might be the death-knell for RHOD and for that, I am sad. Oh, what could have been. There were some great times/seasons in there!
  24. ChitHappens, I am ready to hear your rant anytime! So here are some of my thoughts -- I watched all 3 series in succession. First of all, each series changed in tone, which wasn't a bad thing. The first season was very cinematic (directed by a Belgian movie director), mirroring Paul's murderous 'aestheticism.' There is one particularly good scene where the camera floats above the rooms of Paul's house as he goes through bedtime reading with his kids, almost like the ghosts in his attic (where he hid his Kill Diary!!) watching him play out the role of Loving Father. There was criticism about the objectification of the women's bodies in S1, so I understand the direction S2 went in giving the victim a voice (in the form of Rose Stagg) and not prettying up the true nastiness of Paul's crimes. Having said that, S1 is close to perfect IMO because the tension is SO TAUT. It is practically filmed in real time, but every second counts. Cutting between Stella leading the police hunt and Paul both hunting his prey and avoiding detection was nail-biting. The most fascinating for me was focusing on Paul maintaining his family life with his other, dark, murderous secret life, and watching his psychopathy deteriorate, to the point where he could no longer manage his day job, so all-consuming had his obsession become. None of this would have worked with any actor. After watching the show, IMO Jamie Dornan is one of the best Irish actors of his generation (previously I had dismissed him as a model-turned-actor, entirely based on Fifty Shades). He did not have a lot of dialogue. So everything had to be reflected on his face, in his eyes. That is no easy feat. I felt I was practically reading the internal dialogue in his head in some scenes -- that's how strong he was in completely inhabiting the part and communicating Paul's thoughts to the audience. The scenes with his daughter were especially moving/terrifying, because she is essentially his 'normal place.' And yet, when he asks her to lie to her mother, you realise how much he is going to traumatise and mess up that little girl! Watching those scenes, taking time to play every beat, the suspense building and building, as a viewer I felt like a stalker also, but utterly powerless to prevent the carnage you know is coming. The fact that it is set in Belfast, which has those wounds from The Troubles festering at the surface (not to mention the catastrophic legacy of those church-run 'children's homes') added another layer. Belfast was like another character on this show. The supporting actors were top notch, especially John Lynch as the Assistant Police Commissioner fraying at the seams, and Bronagh Waugh as Paul's wife. My god, that scene in S2 when she makes that terrible decision! As annoying as she was, Aisling Franciosi as Katie also inhabited her role perfectly. It was too bad they didn't pursue Archie Panjabi's role in S1, but it seemed TPTB did not know what to do with her, other than some The Good Wife Alicia/Kalinda wish fulfilment. Gillian Anderson as Stella Gibson. In some ways, she is way too glamorous to be playing a DSI in the police. Gillian Anderson has this old-school Big Star aura about her, and I love actresses like that because we don't get that so much anymore in TV/movies. Her charisma is powerful. In some ways, Jamie Dornan is just too gorgeous to be playing a serial killer also -- or is he? Isn't the point that a killer could be anyone, with normal family relationships and the looks, hiding in plain sight? Similarly, I would say that Gillian Anderson's big-screen charisma is not out of place in The Fall. I've been in workplaces where a female manager can have massive charisma and inspire their team, and suddenly, they seem movie-star gorgeous and fascinating for a hot minute. Stella Gibson is that kind of leader, who manages to have people crush on her and follow her to the ends of the earth. Second season felt more like really good UK soap -- again, taking time to play every beat, draw out the time horizon for maximum tension. I really liked that. Season 3 -- ok. Should I put this in spoiler tags?
