  1. Agreed. She is lazy and deplorable and doesn't care about RHOA as evidenced by her flop ass dropping out of the trip because she is "doing press for Don't Be Tardy" (yeah right). The producers seem to think she is on trend rn but looks to me like they have fallen for her self-proclaimed hype. I guess I figured it would just be a matter of time before he would appear, albeit briefly and in passing. Now that the producers, Kim and Nene have conspired to make this season an attack on 'Kenya's Sham Marriage,' the likelihood that he will show is virtually nil. Which conveniently makes them look like they were right all along!
  2. @Nothin'ButAttitude so basically the fact that her husband didn't want to be filmed (same as Dina's husband on NJ, Jeana's on OC and Heather's on NY) is what prompted Beck and his producers to target Kenya this season? Lord. Looks like they want Marcille to be her replacement too. lol I enjoy Kenya and all she brings to RHOA but I had to laugh at that bit too
  3. Is it just me who can't see these links?
  4. Well, I would def agree that Atlanta has lost its sparkle in the last few seasons. Tbh I found some of the episodes in the last 2-3 seasons a chore when they didn't involve a major dramatic event. I think it was with @Gray Bunny last year that we were talking about the READS and the SHADES and how they sounded a lot like how white people want/expect black people to sound. Phaedra was a prime example. I would go even further and say Kim Z switches up her lingo a bit when she's with some of the black HWs. It is rehearsed and the dynamic has become horribly toxic-- gone are the days when Sheree tugged Kim's wig and that was the big scandal! Having said that, in terms of drama, Atlanta can and does deliver. That trailer has more excitement in it than the entire season of OC this far. I wouldn't put Atlanta as far down as NJ because imo NJ is in really poor shape, rotted to the core. Atlanta isn't there yet but if Kenya walks, it will struggle. Toyota, Sheree and even my lovely Cynthia are just not interesting enough to carry this show. Nene is going to devour it. IA that the bond on BH and NY seems more real among some of the ladies. I personally love Dorinda, Luann, Sonja and Ramona. There is history there. Even with Jill and Ramona, they knew each other for a decade previous to the show.
  5. Omg I would be SO relieved to know she is still on the show and finishes out the season like a queen! And if Beck got fired and Andy demoted for this mess. I don't understand Andy's hatred for Kenya, I really don't. And I just want to say that this thread over the past 20 hours has literally been 1000 times more exciting than OC, BH or NY combined this year. Atlanta always brings the drama -- both on and off screen.
  6. Amanda Lepore! Bwahahahaha!!! I have never gotten Kim"s appeal either, and think the fact that she has so many alleged fans and admirers (not least her mini-me Brielle) is actually sort of... dangerous? Symbolises everything that is wrong with our society today? Lol. Everything she represents as a female, I am against. Dont work hard, dont aim to achieve anything, just spread your legs and hoodwink some sucker with cash into giving you possessions and paying for your plastic surgery. Because the only things rhar count are money and how you llook.Your local news comment is on the nose. Kenya wasn't wrong when she talked about Kim prepping her own daughter for hookerhood. Speaking of Kenya... most of you seem happily reconciled to her departure, And I understand why. Her happiness trumps a toxic tv show! However, as @Soaplovers pointed out, she is the show. That pillow talk party alone! It bothers me that she gets driven off the show but Toyota likely lives on to fight another day! None of the ladies apart from Nene bring it like Kenya, and none of them show their life as dramatic fodder like Kenya. Don't make me laugh about eternal bridesmaid Marlo. She won't bring a damn thing to the table except a nasty mouth and no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
  7. @Nothin'ButAttitude nobody forgets a slight in the Gorga family -- and this was the way society operated in Southern Italy for centuries. Papa Gorga will never forgive, and nor will Kathy/Rosie, nor will Teresa, nor will Joe Giudice. Melissa better be aware; I don't believe for a second that Tre has let bygones really be bygones. And now Mel has alienated Kathy who won't forget either. You hit the nail on the head regarding Dallas. It is about class and social standing and that's what I love about this season. LeeAnne is looked down upon by the others but the irony is that she introduced D'Andra to the group who has legit status and Dallas pedigree. Moreover, she comes across as genuine and real. By contrast, Brandi is very two faced and playing people against the other, and turning on Kameron may not be the smartest move. Kameron isn't the carnie the other women enjoy mocking and bitching about. Kim Z deserves to be dragged for being bone idle as usual. And pretending her laziness is actually due to work. I imagine Nene feels she has had to hustle hard to get somewhere, whereas Kim Z has simply laid on her back and got everything handed to her on a platter. I hope this spat isn't limited to Twitter and we get it on the show too.
  8. Now... you know I love you @Nothin'ButAttitude but Kathy's a big girl. She sold out family for a spot on the show, was (and still IS) competing with Teresa over who is the better cook.... and she sicced Richie Wakile on us. Unpardonable! I sort of felt bad for her last season when she tried to make amends with Teresa, but even that was only because partners-in-crime Melissa & Joey switched sides and dumped her ass! I agree though Melissa was worse and really selfish in her motivations. She tore apart a family that wasn't hers for (what she thought would be) stardom and unending riches. I suspect Kathy's motivation was partly resentment at Teresa's fame (there's something very Jan about Kathy). However, it was also because of her mom's history with Tre's dad. Something bad went down, and since the Gorgas would die rather than apologise for anything, that poor old lady will probably never reconcile with her brother in this lifetime. From the looks of the trailer, I don't think Melissa will be getting her comeuppance this season either. That fake-ass is Teflon.
  9. You liked Melissa in the early seasons, huh. I disliked her from the get-go. She convinced her dumbass husband to throw his family under the bus for Bravo and her Discount JLo aspirations (lol remember when he 'overheard' her singing Amazing Grace in the walk-in closet and was like "OMG! Is that you singing? You have da voice of an angel! YOU SHOULD BE FAMOUS!"). Melissa and Kathy came on NJ seething with jealousy and resentment because they felt they were ENTITLED a spot on the show. They came on promising producers to take Tre down. Melissa tried to pretend Teresa was 'attacking' her family, but in actual fact she was lapping up the victimhood role. There's a reason her Gorga parents-in-law couldn't even stand to look at her in scenes. I am actually kind of stunned at how she came on the show expecting the audience to fall at her feet for simply existing. With that said... I will be tuning into NJ's first episode next week lol
  10. None of the ladies sound at all convinced about those taglines. And Melissa Gorga's tags are always bafflingly smug. Why should we envy your life again? Your music career flopped, 'your' store got cleaned out of all its merchandise by the rightful owner and Kim D, and you are married to a balding little ape-hobbit.
  11. Also... I sort of wish Bethenny hadn't signed on for Season 10. Was hoping the Shark Tank and that Million Dollar Listing show could have fulfilled the Skinnygirl promotion quota.
  12. You and me both. In a way it's not their fault: mama has pushed them so hard to be the next Hadid sisters, but they are so lacking in the modelling department -- and in the personality department. Much as I dislike Yolanda, I really like her kids, they seem to have more than one braincell to rub together. They are also real models with the unique looks, cheekbones and stature. Rinna's girls, bless em, are like bumps on a log. No glow, no It factor, not much personality, somewhat dead-eyed. They don't really wow me as catwalk models either. It definitely surprises me because Rinna has TONS of personality and her eyes sparkle. And Harry Hamlin is sexy AF and has true-blue Hollywood presence. Perhaps Donna is autocorrect's way of saying Rinna?
  13. http://radaronline.com/photos/rhony-season-10-cast-contracts/ OK, so it is Radar Online so take with a pinch of salt but... after rumors that Sonja, Ramona and Luann (yes! Luann. Talk about a boneheaded decision if true) were all fired, I am relieved. I don't think I could face seeing The Bethenny Show with just Carole and Tinsley, two of the most boring HWs in NY history. Truthfully, Ramona and Luann are two of my faves.
  14. Michael seemed ok on the whole -- he had her back in her fights with the other HWs without being a David Beador, her mother lives with them etc. Obviously nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors, though. She's a firecracker and he is controlling. As for OC Divorce Watch: -Eddie is not bolting unless CUT Fitness goes down the tubes and he gets saddled with paying off Ryan's debt. Anything to do with Ryan and his financials is a dealbreaker for Eddie. -Jimmy has a good life seeing Meghan once every full moon and living 'his life' in St Louis. He also seems to adore spending time with baby Aspen. Only something which ends his TV career would probably force Meghan's hand. I don't think she signed on for richer, for poorer. -Obviously Shannon is next. Never have I sign a more miserable, dead-eyed man than David. They must be staying together because of the show/ironing out the financials. The sad irony is that Shannon's marriage is salvageable -- IF she wasn't such a self-obsessed drama queen. She is never happy and is always letting David know it. How is this incentive for him to keep the marriage going? The reason why Shannon is never happy is because everything is about HER, and everything has to be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT as she envisions it. I don't think I have ever seen her once ask David how he is doing or his opinion on something. She only relates to her family on a level of how it makes her feel. When things don't go her way or how she pictured it, she has an absolute meltdown. It is exhausting to watch and must be even more exhausting to live day-by-day. Imagine waking up every day wondering in what state of mind your spouse/mother is going to be? It must be like waiting for an explosion to go off.
  15. So Kandi had a party to celebrate being on the cover of Essence on Sunday. Pics are here (http://www.realitytea.com/2017/09/25/kandi-burruss-celebrates-essence-cover-real-housewives-atlanta-co-stars-photos/#/slide/1). But I have to tell you that Nene looks completely unrecognisable.
  16. Thank you for watching so some of us don't have to! I don't know if I can face YET another #FakeCancer SL on this show. OC is a mess and I really don't enjoy any of them at this point. Can't we just FFed to Iceland already? Haven't watched Dallas yet, but I plan to. First of all I love Cary (she's my fave), and I think D'Andra is a good addition. Definitely the new Tiffany -- only better. I was just about done with LeeAnne, but you have helped to contextualise her for me. I truly thought she had violent mental problems, but perhaps she's all bark and not much bite. I do want to like her because I can see in her VTs that she is often very self-deprecating and tongue-in-cheek about herself.
  17. Same. I always rooted for the 'outsiders' on Dynasty tbh. I can def see John Forsythe being quietly in love with Linda Evans but unable to admit it to himself. He was very buttoned up. I also believe GT's comments about Joan Collins' jealousy of Linda Evans. Sad about his self-loothing as well -- to the point where he cannot allow himself a relationship and now he fears it is too late. This reboot sounds more like a Revenge wannabe more than anything else. Hearing him decimate it was very satisfying to read.
  18. THIS. I had the most massive crush on GT/Adam when I was a kid (I am female), and even I guessed back then that he was gay. I love the whole interview, how forthright he is. I'm just sad that it is only now, at 72, that he can come out. What's sadder is that he has been wrestling with some kind of internal hatred and discomfort with himself all these years. Great actor, and Adam along with Alexis was arguably the most compelling character on the show.
  19. +1. They sold their own family out for fame. And production was only too happy to facilitate that for 5 years. I couldn't even watch the twins season.
  20. Plus Mexico got whacked with two earthquakes! *prayer circle for Morocco* In answer to your last question, I think this is make or break season for NJ. If ProstitutionWhore! can't make the drama work on that show, no-one can.
  21. Yeah, I appreciate them filming together and going out to dinner and the trips. Hello, Boutique! I appreciate that social aspect because it captures the Manhattan whirl very well. I just don't like it when Bethenny is braying at everybody about what they can drink, when they should eat, you f*ck everybody!, do this, do that, lol. I don't think it will become Nene's RHoA because I don't think the producers want it to become the Nene Show! They don't want to be constantly dealing with her diva demands. Also Kandi will have something to say about that, and so will Kenya. Given that the EP does Don't Be Tardy and is allegedly boning the Zolciak Mini-Me, I'd be worried about Kenya getting a bad edit this season when it comes to Kim vs Kenya. Porsha is, in the words of Drucilla on Y&R, "lint." I miss NY Heather too. She did try to slut-shame the Countess in Turks & Caicos (I just realised that so many RHoNY vacation locations have been destroyed by recent hurricanes -- St Barts also) but she was strong, positive, smart, had an interesting life and career, real stuff going on, and the fact that she and Bethenny didn't quite fit made for an interesting dynamic that season. Lydia is basically doing what the OC producers tell her in order to stir the pot. She and Doug must really need the money imo.
  22. Bethenny Frankel's RHONYC. Starring Bethenny Frankel. And some other people. Produced and directed by Bethenny Frankel. Sponsored by Bethenny Frankel... and Skinnygirl. Yeah, it bugs me that this is no longer a true ensemble. Plus all the other women have to kiss up to Bethenny in order to keep their job.
  23. While we are on the subject, Sheree should be parked on the side too. She was gone even longer! I have a feeling they arranged the lineup according to dress color/length combinations, with perhaps only Nene contractually insisting on that center spot. I know she's been away a couple of seasons and doesn't really deserve it, but Bethenny on NYC was away too and, if I recall correctly, immediately got center space in a lot of the cast lineups when she came back.
  24. Count me in as one of the people who feels that Mariah has got majorly shafted since S2. She CARRIED this show on her back the first two seasons and was the reason I tuned in! I don't know which producer told Quad she was fabulous enough to carry the show, but that person needs to be fired for false advertising! Quad will always be a Melissa Gorga to me -- a jealous second-tier wannabe who threw her close friend under the bus in the misbegotten belief that the audience are actually interested in her. I also can't stand her fakery and "OOO Miss Simone honey chile" stuff which is indicative of someone who adooooores the sound of her own voice. Don't get me wrong, Dr. Jackie and Dr. Simone do bring it in their rational, careful way, and I find their RL drama the most emotionally real. But you need a real drama queen to balance that rationality out. Neither Heavenly nor Quad are that drama queen imo... but Mariah Huq is.
  25. IA they could and should have done better with a location. Like a gorgeous, wisteria-laden white porch in Buckhead, for example. So that we know we are in Atlanta, in the south! This shot could have been taken at the Pittsburgh Crate & Barrel for all we know. I can only assume that if Kenya is not center next to Nene, either Nene complained and insisted Cynthia come over, or the color scheme of the dresses necessitated it. Or Cynthia really does have a full SL this season and deserves a front-and-center spot! And I say this as someone who liked her SL last season and her path to independence. TBH I thought Sheree was Kim Z after one too many facelifts. I am so ready for Plastic Face to be taken down about four notches...
