The moment Vicki told Shannon to "Get off my show," I felt like a countdown clock started on her 'reign' on the show. It was the same feeling I had with LVP's "The crown is heavy, darlings..." tagline. When you have to tell people you are the queen, it kind of feels like your time as queen may be coming to an end. What is clear this year on the OC is that nobody outside of Kelly and Lydia really wants to film with Vicki. That is definitely part of Shannon and Tamra's plan, to edge Vicki off the show, and it could work. Vicki knows this, which is why she is latching onto the one-hit newbie and yapping about Brooks for some screentime. Elsewhere in the Vickiverse:

It's been a long time since I've posted in this thread. I am still keeping up with kpop tho. Most recently, EXO released The War, their latest album and imo one of their best. Kokobop was their comeback single, but imo it is the weakest compared with other songs including The Eve, What U Do, Diamond, and Walk on Memories. Jill Zarin had a big event for thyroid cancer (which she has been doing for some years now). The sad news is that Bobby's thyroid cancer has mutated into an anaplastic thyroid cancer, for which there is no treatment. Anyway, lots of HWs showed up this weekend in support of Jill, including Ramona, Luann and Tinsley. It's pics like this which show how well Jill still fits into the RH firmament.

Without Dawn and Ampika, this show is a borefest. Even if Magali were to return (and there's no indication she plans to), she needs an alpha female like Dawn and Ampika to play off of. The others, bless their hearts, just do not have the X factor to carry the show.

Ahhhh, it's Gretchen Christine International! I stand corrected. (And yeah Reality Tea is a good site). I wish she'd name the conglomerate that bought her byootay brand, because Gretchen has a tendency to embellish/make stuff up. It would add credibility to her post/press release here. But if a company did buy her out, more power to her! She had a vision for herself, and that was to establish a brand. She certainly worked hard on it. Lol I'll be honest, i kind of miss her on OC sometimes even though I was ready for her to leave in S8. Mainly because she got under the skin of Tamra and Vicki so badly! Can you imagine how Shannon would take to her this season? How David Beador would take to her??

Oh, for sure Vicki is a hypocrite and unable to deal being called out on her hypocrisy. Its been that way for years. Cancer Scam was the worst of it and I really wish she wouldn't brush it under the carpet. She's definitely "Do as I say, not as I do." I meant that in the looks/age department, Vicki is not a Barbie doll, and I think that's a positive on a show like this which is all about tearing down the facade these HWs put up. The fact that she's not is at the root of a lot of her issues with other women. She feels inferior physically and threatened by their looks. Gretchen sold her make up line? She's still selling it on her website, all of it way marked down from the original price. I notice she seems to have a new spray tan in a can product which the site is promoting quite a bit. It's not in the makeup section but has it's own little special section. Lol this was my first time ever on her site, however, so you will probably be better informed than me about what's going on with her business ventures.

For a HW that leans heavily on her 'smart businesswoman' persona, Vicki has terrible instincts. Brooks, the scam, followed swiftly by that Kill All Cancer insurance debacle. And now this. Not only do I NOT associate Vicki with cosmetics or beauty products (sorry, I like her for all the reasons she is not a Barbie doll like Gretchen/Alexis), but we all remember Vicki telling Gretchen that dabbling in an over-saturated make-up industry is money down the drain. The article does suggest this may just be a one-off curation though.

You really do and I wouldn't have it any other way! Tinsley is an even bigger dud than Cindy Barshop or that witch person on BH (ok, maybe not her). This Page Six 'drama' (using the term loosely) is the best she can do? They should have stuck with Jules. Shannon is just like Gwyneth Paltrow -- a holistic medicine snob. Apparently when GP's exercise guru, Tracey Anderson, first meet goop, she lifted up Gwyneth's shirt and sneered at her saddlebags and told her her body was a "disaster area." Yes, GP is flat as an ironing board, but GP was fat-shamed so effectively, she ended up sinking a bunch of money into Tracey Anderson's exercise business. And ofc selling $66 jade eggs (which apparently "clear and detox" our ladyparts) to people just like Shannon. But yeah, Shannon's trainer is obviously taking a leaf out of Tracey's book. And it's the oldest trick in the book to shame women into pointing out their defects (or make them think they have defects) and try and make money off guilting them. Me three -- David is def working out for somebody and, given the amount of scrutiny around his proclivities, I wouldn't be surprised if he was back with The Affair herself. And I think Shannon senses that is what is happening. Drunk Dorinda is next week! Amen. I am so ready for her to go. And I'm also ready for Jill Zarin to come back. Watching the malfunctioning robot go into a spiral of electrical spasms would be the cherry on top.

I expect nothing less from a set of shows with a sharp streak of misogyny running through them! Did you also notice that while David ("yes, dear") was working out, he was wearing a CUT Fitness T shirt? Tamra should hook Shannon up with Maya or another friend for a no-nonsense workout!

On the upside, her face seems to have... settled. Also, having come from watching OC Shannon's weight struggles, it always amuses me seeing Ramona wearing white outfits about two sizes too small and still thinking she has the same lithe figure as she did when she was 25. That is confidence! The bandana was a Bon Jovi-sized mistake though. Luann is a true MVP. After two nasty drunken falls, she was up at dawn for yoga and still went surfing afterwards, only to get biffed in the arm by a surfboard. Luann is delighting me no end during this trip. BTW, that surfing lesson was basically constructed to show how good Bethenny is at it and watch the wipe-outs of the other women. Sonja: "I haven't had a drink in 10 months." Thank you for posting about Kenya's grandma passing @Nothin'ButAttitude. I was super close to my grandmother (who lived with us), so I can only imagine the grief Kenya is feeling. This was her mama in every way that counts, and she sounds like a remarkable woman in her own right. Glad Kenya is not alone in facing this right now. RHoOC: Sometimes Bravo editors crack me up -- cutting from Shannon screeching "I'm f*ckin DONE!" over and over to the parrot squawking at Ava's birthday party. Rumor is that Lydia & Doug have money problems and RH is the job that is paying right now. So Lydia is under pressure to deliver this season. BTW, Lydia's dad in that pic looks EXACTLY like Peter Gallagher from The OC! I kind of love the Jim Edmonds + baby show. Meghan? Eh. I don't know why she is acting so stereotypically dumb. Peggy looks like Jillian Michaels from some angles. I can't help but find Shannon incredibly compelling to watch. No other story right now is coming close to giving me the only-too-real moments, the crazy, and the drama, because nobody else on this show (bless their hearts) is bringing it. When Shannon took off her top and her trainer just went "Wow. Wow" at her weight gain, I felt for her. She allowed her actual weight to be shown on camera, damn. I could never. She admitted she is too ashamed to be intimate with David, and that she was afraid he would leave her. No other HW in any franchise is willing to put themselves and their MESS out there like Shannon. (I sometimes wonder if after this season she won't be able to continue with the emotional onslaught on national television). I don't even blame her for losing her rag at Kelly. Kelly coming out of the toilet with her shirt up, flashing her flat tummy... lol I don't want to laugh but SHADE, gf. The whole scene at The Quiet Woman gave me everything I wanted and more. This was another Dinner Party From Hell. Kelly cackling as Shannon and Tamra run into her while trying to make a speedy exit through the back. However, just when I am ready to make up a batch of TEAM SHANNON t-shirts, I am reminded of the old Shannon who turns me off, imperiously ordering Kelly to leave "my table."

That buttery Southern drawl was probably bred out of her by her NJ boarding school (Lawrenceville) where 90210 was probably en vogue at the time. Party coke and a lot of drinking and smoking might also account for the nasality/scratchiness of her voice. But that's just me speculating. RHoNY: The fun bus was definitely Bethenny, Dorinda, Ramona and Sonja's car to the villa! A few games of Marry F*ck Kill (Luann winning the F*ck title, the Radziwill money winning the Marry title) and Sonja's dick pic from a wrong number. THIS is the NY I love! I know the annual Ramonja room grab is a RHoNY tradition, but we had to sit through 30 minutes of that mess. I am Team Ramona -- at odds with all sane viewers -- but every episode she makes it more difficult to root for and visualize her on the show next season. Bethenny is going to make sure she gets fired. Sonja should go because her SL this year was a snooze, but Andy loves when she shows up drunk on WWHL so maybe she is safe. Luann was luminous this episode. Gracefully chatting with the manager of the villa, then drunkenly yapping with Ramona that night. I really liked her talk with Pinot Eyes; it seemed like there is, if not a friendship, then at least a RH sisterhood between them. Luann understands and empathises with Ramona. Ramona cannot actually empathise with anybody, but she does understand Luann, and they do have fun together. Even Luann's falls were graceful. I thought she'd broken her arm with that second fall, though. Ouch. Ramonja should cut their losses, move into Ramona's renovated apartment together, and get married. Sonja would have security, and Ramona would no longer be lonely. Two birds, one stone.

No I haven't but omg this scene sounds spectacular. You can't really go wrong with a fight featuring Shannon representing the fat-shamed, and Kelly representing the ganged-up-on-by-mean-girls! From the episode previews, it also looks like a manager at the restaurant comes over to try and get Shannon to stop making a scene lol I hear that Kelly did eventually make up with Tamra and Shannon though. I wish I could find a gif of Kelly saying "Why don't you start shaving that friggin chin hair?" during the bus ride from hell. The soapy reaction shots from everybody were Shannon will never forgive her for that one. And this is why I've always despised Kim since S1. That stank, better-than-you attitude wafting off this lazy-ass hoe. Glad she'll only be a FOH.

Um... I don't know how you want me to answer those questions which are pretty random tbh. I was just expressing my memories of a show I watched as a kid.

I wondered if Lydia was pot-stirring, but I also appreciate that Lydia has done the show before, knows the main players, and was anxious to get past introductions and into "friendship whisperer" mode. She was polite and friendly with Shannon at first, introducing her to her mom and husband. Shannon was not quite YELLING as she does next week to Kelly, but she did get agitated very quickly and raised her voice in a polite setting (kid's birthday party). Then she went to Tamra to bitch out Lydia so that Tamra could summon Lydia back for a SECOND dressing down from Shannon. When Lydia did not defer to Her Highness, that's when Shannon ran out of there in a tantrum. And all because Lydia said she and Vicki were a lot alike! All three are SO alike! All 3 consider themselves the true queen of this franchise. All 3 cannot abide when somebody speaks truth to their power or expresses an opinion different from theirs. It's like "BETRAYAL!" All 3 are desperate to be viewed as blameless, beloved heroines by the audience (our ongoing preoccupation with good vs bad absolutes! Vanderpump suffers from this, too) and love to sweep the nastier things they have done under the carpet. Tamra is possibly more inclined to fess up to her evilness every now and then, but even the Chrisshun Conversion by her Pasture suggests she prefers playing a goody-two shoes role nowadays. And the very things that make them so similar are precisely what they hate about each other. Kelly hasn't made an impression thus far, but just seeing her boldfaced cheeriness as she shows up to dinner is glorious to me! She knows she just has to breathe in Shannon's direction for Shannon to turn apoplectic.

RHOC: Agree with a lot of @DaytimeFan thoughts. The one I possibly disagree on is the Briana-Tamra friendship. I liked because it harked back to the early days of the show when the HWs were part of the same community. I didn't even mind Briana kvetching to Tamra -- she needed an outlet because Brooks was literally an evil scourge upon her family. He damn near killed Vicki's TV and insurance careers with that cancer scam. Vicki is my girl from way back, but Brooks was a terrible mistake and she needs to own up to it, including the fact that she chose her gross conman boyfriend over her daughter for 4 years. OK, I'm glad I got that off my chest lol. Peggy looks like those uber-wealthy women from Dubai who go to their plastic surgeons clutching a picture of Kim Kardashian's face. I like her story so far -- and THANK GOODNESS Bravo is bringing in a wealthy Armenian-Lebanese family! Sometimes I wonder if Ryan isn't a functioning prescription pill abuser. Little Ava crying as soon as her parents started to argue was painful to watch. Shannon's weight gain is obviously a manifestation of her deep unhappiness with herself and her marriage. She wants to feel loved and desired, and clearly David (who calls her "dear" as if they were both 85 year old meemaws) is not giving her that. So she eats her emotions/punishes herself with food. I hope her 'holistic' trainer buddy isn't a scammer and can help her feel more confident. The problem with Shannon is that after her first season on the show, she let allllllll the hype go to her head. She thought she was #1. She is also a control freak who MUST control the narrative in every situation. If someone offers another viewpoint, she pounds them into submission because THEY ARE WRONG. It's fascinating to watch her delusions and neuroses, but it is not winning her any fans. Her resentment that Vicki is still on the show is plain to see. LOVE that Lydia read her so quickly and refused to kowtow to Shannon's shouting.

I was one of the few who was stoked by the reboot in S5 and pleasantly surprised by the season. S5 NY rediscovered its S1/S2 lightness and humor without forgetting the drama. I was relieved that Kelly, Cindy and Jill were no longer on the show. Jill Zarin had become exhaustingly mean, like a rottweiler who just won't.Let.GO of a child's leg. Maybe the problem with NY has been the fact that Andy is a little too invested in this franchise. A franchise like the OC is kind of left to its own devices and is all the better for it, imo. Andy has two BFFs on NY (Bethenny, Carole). It is clear that he could not tolerate Jill anymore, and that is why she was fired. Given that she once wore a wire in order to trap him into saying something incriminating, I can see why he and Bravo let her go. No company wants to deal with a walking liability like that! Having said that, I think enough time has passed that Thirsty Jill could return. The problem is: would Andy want her return? Maybe. He's had Jill on WWHL a couple of times already. But would Bethenny? She clearly has power behind the scenes -- and that's another problem, because it is killing dramatic impetus on the show. Everybody but Ramona is too scared to go up against the de facto Exec Producer/Star. And that is probably a big reason why I am Team Ramona this season, as vile and crazy as some of her outbursts have been.
