Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Nice BH preview, @Nothin'ButAttitude ! Ugh, Rinna's bothers the f out of me with her faux outrage. You're the one who joked about taking Xanax smoothies in the first place! Dorit merely repeated what you said on camera verbatim! Erika is clearly still unoble to let go of that anger. And OMG PHAEDRA AND CARLOS WERE BOTH PHIRED????? I am literally in shock rn. Once Kandi got her lawyer involved, it must have been all over for them. I kind of wanted Porsha fired and Phaedra back, like @Cheap21 said, for one last season of being epically dragged and exposed. IMO she is also a crook, but now we.may never know.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHoNY: Watching RHoNY is like slipping under a freshly laundered comforter and sipping on some wine (Pinot ofc). It feels good to see the ladies again, and the marked rise in production values which this franchise -- and this city -- so richly deserves. While the ratings for this opening episode may not be exceptional, I blame it on the quirkiness and NY humor of the show which, like Ramona, is an acquired taste. Speaking of Ramona and her freshly upholstered face, this insane drunk is always fun to watch but remains the biggest hypocrite on the planet. Going after Luann for putting up with Tom's supposed infidelities -- projection much?? Every thing Ramona has always hated about Luann are actually her own worst traits. I would say that she is projecting what she hates about herself onto Luann, but I don't think Ramona is that self-aware. She actually believes she has zero flaws. Bethenny obvs got sat down by her marketing people and told to put on her happy face, because last season was not a good look on her or Skinny Girl. I like Bethenny, but then we saw flashbacks of Reunion last season and I'm reminded of how nasty and jealous she was, hounding Luann because she was angry that Luann got engaged first (let's not forget she lobbied to get Sonja fired from the show last year, too). And probably because Luann is fundamentally a person who reaches for happiness and LIKES to be happy. I see Carole's still with that hipster chef who looks unacquainted with soap more than once a week. Edgy! Luann's new penthouse is a marvel. I fear we will be seeing another divorce in a few years with her, but I'm happy she's happy. Sonja is still... Sonja. Dorinda is fabulous, gives me life, I love her and she can do no wrong in my eyes. I don't care if she's a roaring drunk or face-deep in a mountain of Colombian marching powder. I swear when I hear her utter those words "I tell you how I'm doin -- NOT WELL, B!TCH" I am going to get goosebumps up and down my spine.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
This post is GLORY. I just watched RHoBH and IA with everything. Rinna got too big for her boots. After last season, she figured she had managed to take down LVP, after taking down Kim & Brandi the season before, and that she is indispensable to BH. It all went to her head, and her accusations have become more and more wild. She throws any old crap against the wall to see what sticks. This season cemented my gut feeling about last season. While it is no secret LVP stirs the pot from the side, exposing Yolanda's lyme fakery was Rinna's doing... until she second-guessed the audience reaction and decided to pin the blame on somebody else. Rinna is completely without credibility in my eyes; every word she utters is suspect, and I cannot take a damn thing she says seriously. Her nasty comments about LVP in her VTs -- while trying to kiss her ass to her face -- underline how cowardly she is about actually confronting people, unless her back is against the wall. There is so much I WANT to love about Erika. She has a nice, drawling line in self-deprecation, and sells an image of her HW self as sassy, fab, smart and strong. What's not to love? However, there is something so very calculated and contrived about everything she does. Erika takes herself very seriously, and she is hyper-aware of her wealth and status in this group, and of her burgeoning popularity with Bravo and BH fans. I feel like she and her PR people have worked overtime strategizing about how Erika would appear this season (and I don't just mean what she was going to wear). She was going to be queenly (for this is the season Erika would snap up that much talked-about crown!), above the fray, showing a bit of her softer side, playing the hurt party, and finally going in for the kill in a cathartic showdown with her detractors. Cap all that with a Dancing With the Stars appearance and it's Long Live the New Queen! But she over-reached. Somewhere in Hong Kong, when she went in for the kill, she ended up looking arrogant, snooty and humorless. Moreover, I think she expected Dorit to crumble, and she didn't. In some ways, I appreciate an Erika who has stumbled as it actually makes her more human. I need her to unclench that iron control over her image just a little bit. Her scenes with LVP in this episode were funny and warm, actually Eden. Bye. A final bid for relevancy with that Rinna blowup, but unfortunately for her, no-one cares. Arguably one of the worst HWs in RH history alongside Carlton and Cindy Barshop. Dorit has a backbone I appreciated, but I'm not really into her or PK tbh. Seeing Kyle and Mauricio escort Erikla to the party reminded me how often Kyle makes a beeline for the rich, popular girls in a bid to ride their coat-tails. Eileen redeemed herself in my eyes but she is still Rinna's attack dog and probably as strategic as anybody else on this show. That's the problem: when Eileen and Rinna set themselves up on pedestals as purveyors of truth, their fall to earth is that much more bumpy. I feel for Eileen re: Erika. She so badly wants to be her BFF but even the closing credits made it clear that while Erika is happy to indulge Eileen for that Y&R walk-on part, that offer is absolutely not reciprocated. This is no two-way street 'friendship.' LVP stayed out of most of the trouble, as we knew she would. I'm not sure her charitable concerns make for riveting TV, and I also feel that by acknowledging 'the crown' she may be seeing it disappear. But this season has taught me never to count LVP out. She remains the lynchpin of this franchise, just as Nene was with RHoA and Vicki with OC.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Thank you for saving my life! This looks like it is going to pay dust to Kenya and Porsha's altercation! First of all, everybody looks good her (with the possible exception of Cynthia's wig). Kenya's hair looks drop-dead gorgeous! I just want to say how much I LOVE Kandi. She has shown her life, for better or for worse, and taken a lot of potshots for it. She is authentic a HW as I have ever seen. Andy asks her straight out about women, whether there were one or many, and she just straight-up answers him. I love that she wasn't coy about the whole thing. I am ready for her to do the tremble-voice cry, then DRAAAAAG Frick and Frack by their weaves. I am so ready to see that arrogant pea-brain Porsha smacked down, and for shady Phae-Phae to get EXPOSED. And by exposed, I mean EVERYTHING coming out about her! She is in it up to her eyeballs! I am pleased Kandi called out Andy at one point. In some ways, he is complicit for letting people like Phaedra get away with the worst. So true. Nene hated openly and, in a way, honestly. She was jealous of Kim Z and told her to close her legs to married men (which was TRUTH), but never actively tried to destroy her reputation (what little was left of it) or spread lies that she had committed a felony. Phaedra always knew not to piss Nene off though. I wonder why she pissed Kandi off, when Kandi is like Nene: when she gets angry about an injustice done to herself or someone else, there is no stopping her, she is is like a dog with a bone exposing hypocrisy.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yep. This is when you know BH is the cream of the franchises. They brought it this year, just to remind everyone that THIS is the wealth & glitz RH show. Everyone looked glamorous!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Jacqueline is not my fave but at least she's honest about why the producers don't want her back again. It must be hard to face up to the fact that you aren't the star of this franchise like you thought you were meant to be. In any case, I feel like no matter how often they reboot NJ, this shows feels dead. Dead in its soul.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@Nothin'ButAttitude Thanks for posting! That was probably the most solid set of taglines for a RH franchise this year. It was true to each woman. Dorinda, Ramona and LuAnn"s were the bomb! I am out of town this week and so cannot catch up on BH or ATL. Sounds like I'm not missing that much with ATL dragging out the season. BH... sigh... I saw the sneak peak that was posted a day or two ago. I am cringing at Rinna's low blows towards Eden. Not that I like Eden, she is certifiable actually, but she's also Rinna"s easiest target and it makes LR look cowardly and arrogant. PK can go. I don't mind Dorit but it's not enough for me to want to keep the Kemsleys. At least with Peter Thomas, I liked Cynthia more than I disliked him. He could be amusing too sometimes. PK is just a slug. In other news, Kenya has finally filed a restraining order against the rage monster.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
It's like what Kyle said -- Mauricio really would not be thrilled if Kyle went out without underwear and somebody else's husband started boasting publicly about having seen her hoo-ha. Same with Tom. He's old school. He probably feels this reflects badly on both of them. In a way I feel bad for Erika after typing that! Interesting what you say about producer-pushed. Erika is so controlled, her image and media strategy so contrived, that maybe this was contrived and orchestrated, too, to illustrate Erika's sensitive side. What is even more interesting to me is the backlash to it. It's been a slow build over 12 hours as viewers let the scenes sink in and try to make sense of them. IMO? Erika and Rinna overplayed their respective hand. Rinna went by last season's playbook, which is to deflect blame for her big mouth onto somebody else, preferably on the cast trip. It worked then but is clearly a one-hit wonder this season. Erika, as I said before, let the adulation go to her head. I think she honestly thought that a big reveal of vulnerability would be a win. That her calling out Dorit would be accompanied by audience cheers of "YASS KWEEN" and "READ" and a few finger-snaps. It hasn't quite panned out that way. I knew it! I knew Eileen would dry her sniffles, put on a brave face and wax poetic about wonderful Erika and how she totally understands where she's coming from. Eileen adores Erika. She has a serious girl crush. She would love nothing more than to be allowed to be Erika's BFF. Did you guys not see after the boat ride the way she tried to hold and hug her on the sofa? Erika ain't there yet. But I'm sure she's grateful Eileen has her back and came to DWTS to cheer her on. Rinna leaving her actual true friend Eileen (who was trying to hold back tears, so shocked was she by Erika's reaction) to crawl over to Erika and rub her back while Erika sobbed "You don't know... what I go through...at night" was not surprising either. Rinna goes where she thinks the audience love resides.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I didn't realise she was getting dragged on Twitter! By her own fans. On TT, Erika is pretty much loved, and Rinna is getting most of the criticism. She did go on WWHL, where she had an adoring audience, interviewer and fellow guest. But yeah, Erika's ascension to the BH throne is not 100% guaranteed. lol shady you calling Yols Erika's former boss! I remember when Erika and Eileen were Yolanda's heavies to keep everybody in line re: her Lyme disease. Now it appears she has made a miraculous recovery, in time for this new show encouraging more Momagers to pimp out their kids! Her recovery is especially amazing considering Lyme disease still has no known cure. I guess Yolanda couldn't stay out of the lymelight long. And yes, that typo stays.

K-Pop Appeciation Thread
Thanks for posting again on this thread...today was a sad day in my city, so it was a relief to read this and talk about something light. Awww I've been feeling disillusioned with kpop too. And waiting for some good comebacks. They will always be Beast to me! As long as they release some good music and keep enjoying their work, I will support. I am going to call them HighBeast! Their new song sounds like a rookie song -- in a good way. It's catchy and I like it! Hyuseung later denied it, didn't he? Who knows what Cube are thinking. Cube really are the worst (and in kpop that is saying something). SHINee will be in the US very soon for their North America tour, are you going? I am falling in loove with old Shinee stuff at the momwnt (although I really liked their Japanese album and last comeback). I love 'Love Sick' from their Odd album (that album as a whole I really liked).

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
For you guys, I watched on the way to work! @Nothin'ButAttitude, @DaytimeFan, @Taoboi, I agree with all your assessments. And I don't even really like Dorit! Dorit held her own. I would have crumbled tbh. I don't think Dorit is RHoBH material, I can't stand PK, I'm tired of her constant prodding of Erika for relevancy. But Erika and Rinna just wanted to cut their teeth on her that night. They were looking to target her. Erika was doing the MOSTEST. Look, it's clear LVP's star is on the wane on BH and Erika's is on the rise, and I have to accept that to an extent. But the constant adoration by her (paid) cheer squad, by Andy Cohen, by a growing segment of the audience who think she is the 'NEW KWEEN' of BH... all this has gone to her head. She cannot take an ounce of criticism (both on this show and DWTS). She luxuriates in her grudges (like somebody else we know, cough) in order to lord it over others. Something struck me when the HWs went to see the Big Buddha -- they were on an escalator, all the ladies where bunched together in groups of 2 or 3 -- except for Erika who was at the head of the escalator, alone. Not a lonely, forlorn figure, but because she feels too good for these women. That was patently clear in the way she tore into her minion, Eileen, after failing to break Dorit. I get that her son's welfare is a real worry. But it went on and on, even after Eileen (who worships Erika's every puss-pat) was quietly crying at the table. She shat all over Eileen's attempt to make things better. This was kicking someone for the sake of kicking them. And she knows she can because Eileen idolizes and will forgive her. I felt truly bad for Eileen. I wonder if she views Erika differently now. Lisa Rinna is... insufferable. Like DaytimeFan said, she jumped the shark in waterskis and a leather jacket. She lobs any accusation her pea-brain can think up. She has become Brandi Glanville. When she squawked "You have to OWN YOUR sh*t DOREEET and tell the truuuuth!" and tore her a new one for forgetting what she said, I was about done. Hypocritical blabbermouth. Then there were the coke allegations. She is shark-eyed and untrustworthy -- everything she has accused Kim, Brandi and LVP of being. On top of that, she is spineless. I'm stunned she still has fans. Her cowardly ass has been well and truly exposed this season. ^^ I was amused by some of this at the time... I cringe when I see it now.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Wow -- shocking news. I hear Kim D and her family went out of town after hearing the news, possibly for their own protection. I wonder if the FBI will take over part of the investigation since it seems like organised crime (or somebody who wanted to make it look like that). Very disturbing. I like her too -- she's a bit of a gossip, and she blurts out all kinds of stuff, and that's just who she is. She's a talker. She's a people person. Sometimes her instincts are not wrong at all (like with Kim and Yolanda, who has now made a miraculous recovery, it seems). The problem is, she caves under pressure and then deflects massively. I'm hoping Reunion prompts her to go away for a while and quietly rethink her approach. Her problem IMO is not what she initially said, as there is always a kernel of truth there. The problem is that she tried to deny and deflect what she said. It shoots down any credibility in her words. I'm hoping she understands that her issue with the audience is not the gossiping, it's her cowardice when she gets caught gossiping. She just needs to OWN her words/opinion, and pre-emptively rein it in if something she says is blatantly untrue or seriously, nastily contentious.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Rinna looks ridiculous and foolish. She over-exaggerates in her gossip and then, when caught, doesn't stand by her words, instead over-exaggerating the cover-up/apology. It's all done for drama and attention. She's become a cartoon. Now that the tables are turned on her and she is the subject of some light gossip, she's like the boy who cried wolf. I can't take her faux outrage seriously. Agree about Erika. She was all "IT SOUNDED LIKE YOU MEANT TO SAY Rinna is on drugs." Dorit was like "I didn't say that so stop putting words in my mouth" and Erika was forced to backtrack and admit Dorit never actually uttered them. I thought her attack came pretty much out of nowhere for somebody who claims to stay out of the fray and is above the petty drama. Good for them! However it still surprises me when people like Sheeran who claim to be the James Taylor to Swifty's Carly Simon (i.e. authentic types slaving together over lyrics and music for days on end) actually turn out to have the help of different songwriters and fancy producers.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
All of this is pretty shocking actually. Except for the 'Phaedra is shady' part of course.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
IA about Dorit. When she first came on, she wasn't my cup of tea, but little by little I see that she means no real harm. This episode was billed as Dorit getting her ass handed back to her, but I thought she handled herself. Rinna boohoo-ed that Dorit was purposely spreading lies when she was the one who joined in the joke initially. Erika tried to imply it was something more too but even she had to concede that Dorit never said that Rinna was really on drugs. I think BH needs the cleanup too, but if it does, who will be left? Erika, possibly Rinna, possibly Eileen? I'm not sure they have the larger-than-life magic to carry 20 episodes a year. Back in the day, BH was tense, explosive and funny, dripping with jewels and Hollywood gossip and secrets. It had the original (and best) Dinner Party From Hell! Lisa, Kyle, Kim, Camille, Adrienne and TayShanna the original grifter all had the perfect love-hate chemistry and backstory. After seeing the newbies this season (Dorit, Eden), this is the best Bravo can come up with? They are a bit lacklustre compared with the OGs.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I was just thinking the exact same thing -- stick RHoA between 9-11pm on the next two Sundays so we can get to the Reunion episodes before Tax Day! I'm not surprised Rinna got targeted. We all knew that if Kim was invited, she'd go in on Rinna like Kingsley on one of the Umansky offspring. Rinna has been caught on camera saying one thing to people's faces and then talking behind their backs. She will suck it up and apologize. But she will feel humiliated and will try and deflect onto Eden and Dorit because they are the weak links. Hence why she and Erika tagteamed Dorit in the most recent episode. They singled out the annoying newbie, LVP's minion to boot, and tried to nail her with something similar to what got Rinna in trouble. Dorit/Erika are not meant to be. Especially after having seen PK licking his chops over Erika's ladybits. Watched the Hong Kong episode and I enjoyed ALL the women in that episode -- for the first time this season. I want LVP and Eileen to make up now! Appreciated that Eileen made a gesture of reconciliation.

Thanks bae! That's still weeks away but I'm pretty sure we will have a three-parter as a result of this.

Um and when exactly does this Reunion air? I don't know if I can wait 4-5 weeks for this!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
ok so now I'm excited! And ready to speculate on what that bombshell might be. Porsha's hooking? Word on the street [(c) Mama Joyce] is that everybody already knew about that. I wonder if Kandi didn't drop something about Phaedra's um less legal activities. Now that would truly be shocking. It's likely Sheree talking about her marriage with Bob imo.

I loved Erika in this clip -- even though I usually can't stand her YASS B*TCH YASS stylist.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Looking forward to watching BH soon! I visited Hong Kong once (for work) and unexpectedly fell in love with the place. It is very dynamic, fascinating city, and Victoria Peak looking over the city is spectacular. Sounds to me like Rinna is already losing a lot of credibility. As I said before, sometimes it's not the crime itself, but the cover-up that bites you in the ass. Eden is thirsty as F and a straight-up loony tunes who thinks she is responsible for this season's 'success.' I take her far less seriously than I do even Rinna. Oh Kyle's been kissing up to Erika for a while now, and Erika's doing the same with her. It is completely strategic: Kyle recognises a new wannabe 'Queen' and LVP replacement, while Erika has one eye firmly on Kyle's producing credit on BH. The way she rolled out the red carpet for Kyle at Mykonos spoke volumes. RHoA: Shocking Bob-Sheree revelation, and one I believe. Sheree's on-the-spot reaction to Bob's words was too spontaneous to be acting. Anyway, Sheree is a terrible actress. It's a shame she tried to discredit Kenya later in the episode when Kenya had her back, but on the whole, this is the first time I connected to Sheree as a human being. The last scene in the jewellery store... wow, Bob looked so bad. Not so much the laughing which seems like a nervous tick more than anything, but wanting to buy jewellery as a way of smoothing things over. Porsha is such trash, and as we all suspected, she finally admitted that she lied about the drug allegations. The way she shrugged it off and was like "You made me do it, when you start talking about my business, I will unleash" was a non-apology. She is awful. This should be her last season, surely? Also, look at her smug face here: Also wtf was this dental floss Phaedra was wearing?? The way she kept picking at her wedgie in front of Porsha's dude was nast. I'm not sure why Cynthia dipped her toe back in Peter's pond. I feel like she is playing with his feelings a bit.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
IA I think Ramona is a long-time Republican, and I think Bethenny is a Republican for tax reasons and because she is staunchly anti-PC. Ahhhh well it's worth catching up on early seasons of NY, it's a great franchise. LuAnn is not perfect, and there were times (even seasons) where I hated her condescension. Even last season there were moments when she didn't come across well (trying to get Dorinda to lie for Tom, for example). But through it all, I've always like the human side of LuAnn; she shows us her flaws and all, and while she may not always like being caught out (with the pirate), she usually knows it's not worth lying about. Unlike Ramona who denies denies denies til she is blue in the face, LuAnn straight up admitted her marriage to the Count was over when asked about rumors of divorce at Reunion. I liked that she never sugarcoated the divorce or even the fact that she felt hurt and rejected, without making a big song and dance about being a victim. Amen! The reason I like LuAnn and RHoNY is that, even when it gets toxic, there is always this irreverent, New York sense of humor that anchors the show. Part of that is the women, but it's also the production crew and especially the deft editing throughout. I mean, that trip to St Barts in S5 -- I couldn't stop laughing from beginning to end. Even toxic S4 had the trip to Morocco and LuAnn almost getting bucked off a camel. Interesting list. A few years ago, Andy was asked a similar question and mentioned Nene and LVP back then, but now his list is completely changed. You can see who have fallen from favor and who have risen to the top. This is not good news. No offence to Meghan as she redeemed herself somewhat last season but... she is not scintillating viewing. Seeing Jim Edmonds lose it with his angry jazz hands has always been more fun to watch. Sounds like RHOC is a bit lost without Heather there to direct the bitchery. I liked Lydia back in the day but I'm not sure she has the personality to make a real mark on the show.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'd say that this is an accurately-seated Reunion. LR has to be up top in the Brandi spot because she got into the drama this year. Yes they are and I am SO EXCITED for it! They filmed during the late campaign and election itself, and Carole is a big advocate for Hilary; as it was a shocking election result, I can see why they would feature it. NYC has always been a town where politics are important, and so are advocacy groups. It usually skews Democrat, and even its Republican leaders have been of the 'fiscally conservative but socially liberal' variety. What is interesting for me is that while Carole was pro-Hilary (and I suspect Dorinda and others may have voted that way too), some speculate Bethenny to be more 'libertarian-Republican' in her politics. As Carole's BFF, I wonder if the show will allude to this, or whether B wants to keep her role strictly neutral politically. Or maybe C and B are on the same page politically! So ready for LuAnn in her fur chubby and her face-off with Bethenny. A part of me hopes they put the meanness aside and come to some point of understanding, as vicious and destructive as Bethenny was last season. lol can you tell I'm excited about RHoNY coming back??

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Same x 2. A lot of my friends were like "when I first met you, I thought you were standoff ish." It was more like a mix of shyness, self consciousness and caution on my part. It takes time getting to know someone. I absolutely get where Erica is coming from, especially on a show like BH where the women smile and say one thing, but on the VTs and BTS say something very different. Plus if i heard Dorit brag about PK leering at my hoo-ha, I'd want to keep the both of them at arm's length, too. Re: Gretchen, as annoying as she was, and as much as she lied about the timeline for dating Slades vs Jeff's passing, I never thought she was vicious. She was fundamentally harmless and a threat only to Tamra's self-esteem. Poorsha OTOH seems a little too comfortable with not just thuggish behaviour, but blackmail. That is a dangerous game to play, especially when you are not that smart.
