After MZ original GL run, his primetime roles were guest star on The Love Boat and Falcon Crest, and short-lived ABC primetime soap King's Crossing. Then it was back to daytime w/ One Life to Live and return to GL.

Love Andre but I'm not digging him w/ Ashley. I'm team Andre/Dani. If Andre created a romantic night in Paris for Dani, that probably would have been amazing.

Keeping it real here, I never checked for any of the GL males. Maybe that's because I watched in real time when I was in middle school and high school. I'm still trying to wrap my head around MZ being checked for. I like MZ as an actor but I never gave his looks any thought, plus I never thought of Roger as any type of anti-hero/romantic leading man.

Let's not forget that Murder, She Wrote shocked the world when it's season 1 finale became the first Murder, She Wrote episode to finish ahead of Dallas. It was a sign of things to come.

Seeing Shemar Moore and Sean Freeman together on BtG would be a passing of the torch moment in a way. @janea4old Thank you for the IG link.

The Y&R/BtG crossover I want is Malcolm Winters meeting up with his protégé Andre Richardson.

Kat is regretting rushing into her first time. No to Andre/Ashley, but I'm loving Shanice getting in Ashley's face about Derek and Andre.

That's right, at the time his two daughters were teenagers I believe, so college expenses were looming. I don't know if you've seen the Locher Room w/ MZ older daughter, but she looked ready to call out some people and put them on blast but held herself back.

I wish more of 1977-1980 Roger vs. Alan would surface, but I've accepted that it probably won't. Those who watched in real time were most fortunate. GL had two show-defining villains in MZ Roger and CB Alan and sadly due to real-life circumstances we didn't get Roger vs. Alan in the late 1980s/early 1990s. We need to give MZ his flowers for Roger being CBS soap opera OG and GOAT villain. Roger ran so JR and Victor could walk.

@Speed Racer That's the time frame I watched in real time and online, and your observations are totally spot on.

I wasn't watching GL in real time during MZ illness/departure, but from what I remember, the soap press reported medical leave but then it was later revealed that it was a firing. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Sean Freeman, Jibre Hordges, Brandon Claybon can act. Alex Alegria can't.

I loved the Robert Calhoun era. GL was finally hitting its stride after some pretty bad years.

Kat rushed into her first time. It was giving me feels of As the World Turns Lily who also rushed into her first time. We know that Kat gave the goodies to Tomas so he would forget about Eva. Andre 🥰 Loved seeing him in photographer mode.

I haven't thought of Basketball Wives in years. I watched one episode and it was too much for me. Gotta love Jackie Christie though.

I did not like how Ridge took advantage of an intoxicated Caroline considering that she had been raped a year earlier. Remember too that the initial storyline of Caroline overindulging in champagne leading to Ridge taking advantage of her took place during the writer's strike so it might not have even been Bill Bell's plan. Then again Bill Bell reused this storyline 6 years later on Y&R when Malcolm took advantage of Dru who had overdosed on cold medication but Bill Bell later said he regretting writing the Malcolm/Dru storyline.

Kat/Eva are the sister rivalry that's going to happen but I don't think Tomas is the guy they should fight over. Tomas is not any type of prize IMO.

Also MZ was 21 years older than Kimberley Simms. 1989-1997 he had four love interests 20+ years younger, two of whom at the time were like half his age (1995 MZ was 53 and Wendy Moniz was 26. 1996 MZ was 54 and Toby Poser was 27.)
