Patsy did look pretty. So did Carol, btw. I would think the opposite. I can't imagine Ricky wanting to bed that harridan other than as last resort. She badgers and nags him constantly which is a definite sexual turn off for most men.

This was another good episode. I enjoyed Max chopping the end off the cucumber and telling Darren that he was going too far for Jodi. Chelsea and Libby made me chuckle talking about calling the police when Denise brings home a man. Carol saying that Ricky doesn't know if to kiss her or take Bianca for a walk was so true and funny at the same time Poor Patrick. He was so sweet and adorable with Jordan only to hear Chelsea reject their family. Peggy and Pat destroying the pub was so childish that I couldn't find the humor. Good on for Louise trying to get away from her crazy Mitchell relatives.

I would prefer that Kirkwood build on the families or characters already in the Square than bring in a completely new family. Male relatives of the Masoods, Beales, even a male Wicks can show up. Denise's sisters are going to need love interests so Mercy or Fatboy can have an older brother. Patrick can also have a nephew come to stay.

I want Sharon back under any circumstance. They shouldn't have listened to him. I didn't think that they should have killed off Andy Hunter who I also loved. Don't know why they don't kill off the Mitchell men instead.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I can't believe that Patsy is old enough to have a 18 year old son. She looks so young. I agree that they shouldn't write in her pregnancy. Bianca's litter is big enough. Dennis is the most younger charismatic leading man that EastEnders has had in forever. I like Ryan, but he doesn't have "it." I know that Scott Maslen has tons of fans and he is handsome, I just don't find him a compelling leading man. EastEnders could do with a younger hard man to shake things up. It doesn't sound like Michael Moon is that kind of character. This is exactly why they should have never killed off Dennis. He was the kind of character they could bring back along with Sharon to liven up the Square and stick it to the Mitchells and Brannings. Other when Pat and Frank ran the Vic, I have always thought that it is best when run by the Watts.

I read a Marc Elliot interview . Turns out that I was wrong thinking that he would be leaving EastEnders sooner than later. It is his first big job so he plans to stick around. It will be interesting to see what Kirkwood does with Christian and Syed from now on. I saw a spoiler that I can't see Ryan in love with Janine for very long. She is such a loud mouth trouble making miserable person.

I watched Lucas Revealed also. Kirkwood sounded like the typical deluded soap producer which means that we are in for it. He talks about how there was so much to pack into the Lucas confrontation, yet he put in the rounders game in the the middle of the episode. I don't know what these showrunners are thinking most of the time. Don does seem to be a great guy. He is a huge loss for EastEnders. I want Lucas to have a twin who comes to the Square. I am glad that the Foxes are being rebuilt so quickly with Denise's sisters. I wonder who will be their love interests. Not a lot of single men around, I think. I hated seeing Dennis' murder again. I maintain that it was a huge mistake. I can't stand that Phil hasn't paid for his role in Dennis' death either. However, I think that you are right that his horrible life is punishment enough. Everything he touches turns into death and destruction.

A really good episode with nice humor. I'm just loving EastEnders these days. I'll miss Don. He was outstanding as Lucas. I felt sorry for Lucas locked up struggling with his insanity. I hope that Don gets a tv series or another prominent role on another show. I'm glad that Zainab is there for the Johnsons. The door scene with Tamwar was very comedic. I hope that Denise can knock some common sense into Zainab about the importance of reconciling with Syed. I liked Roxie and Chelsea bonding over their mentally disturbed fathers. I can't believe how quickly my feelings have changed about Arthur/Fatboy. I absolutely love him. He is the sweetest person. I laughed at his prayer rap. His relationship with Dot does remind me of how she took a troubled Dennis under her wing. I hope the plan is to move him into Dot's as a lodger. Jodi giving Darren the list was so sweet. All young women should do this with their men. Darren is thinking with his hormones. What if his next girlfriend has other tastes? LOL! I hope that Max talks some sense into him. He and Darren continue to be a good pairing. I've got nothing good to say Phil, Peggy and Ben.

I think that the Lucas story has been a success despite any complaints on the boards about the climax being a let down. The ratings show that people watched despite the lack of promotion and that is what counts. It is quite shocking how likable Max and Jack are of late. They both usually work my last nerve. Goes to show that good writing is a cure all for most characters. I did like Pat being part of the game. I'm worried about where she goes after the upcoming fire. Carl, about Christian, I had forgotten that he had a long term partner when he first showed up. The guy dumped him when he found out that Christian had a thing for Jane's husband. Once he got to the Square, he became the single party guy which I loved actually. Christian did technically cheat on James with Syed, but since he broke up with James almost immediately, I give him a pass there.

I felt the episode was a let down. I expected more. I liked the community game of rounders. It made me smile, but it seemed totally out of place. The acting was not as good as I expected. The actress who played Chelsea was horrible. Also, people didn't act shocked at seeing Denise alive. I'll miss Don. I couldn't help noticing that Denise's eyebrows were perfectly shaped although she had been kidnapped for days. So Fatboy's name is Arthur. He has really grown on me. I liked him a lot today. He and Mercy are nice additions. Will they stay around? I like Jodi also. She seems very sweet.

Denise/Lucas is gripping although I think the story itself is kind of stupid. The acting is top notch which makes the drama. I can't wait for Thursday. I predicted those high ratings so I'm not surprised that people are loving it as I am. I love the Max/Darren comedy. I couldn't stop laughing. It is a good start to setting up Darren as Max's surrogate son and an unofficial Branning. Darren has no family left in the Square. Max was a crap father to Bradley so he can redeem himself by being a good father to Darren. I hope Abi's crush on Darren goes nowhere. These producers have got to stop making excuses. Walford will always need Sharon. Letitia should be asked back and parked in the Vic where she belongs. Ugh. I didn't realize that Kat and Alfie were coming back for a long stint. I never liked them though I know they were popular. .

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
They need to give Natasha an exciting and huge send off. Emmerdale needs a big event. I want Natasha and Nathan sent down just as they are about to flee. Nathan can return in a few months. Maisie could spiral out of control when the truth comes out, kill herself. Faith, Ryan and Will would then inherit Mark's money. Natasha would then ask Faith to adopt Will rather than let him go into care.

I think that we are supposed to believe that Syed loved Amira, but in an affectionate way and certainly not like he loves Christian. I actually like the different tones that Syed said "yes" in response to Tamwar's questions about loving Christian and Amira. There was no indecision or doubt. I didn't get it when Syed called Christian, "Clarkey." I had forgotten that Christian's last name was Clarke. I have come to think of him as a Beale. I would have preferred that his nickname be "Chris." It was funny that Christian was training someone in the middle of the Square. Where do personal trainers take their clients? To gyms, right? I wish that the Square had a gym, but that would probably one extra set too many. I hope that Syed does get his telephone mobile stall in the market. Think of all the awkward encounters with Masood and Zainab. Today reminded me about why I have never liked Peggy. There is something so ugly about the character. Blech. I won't miss her one bit.

Another stellar episode. I'm just loving EastEnders. OMG, Lucas is like scary crazy. The look on his face when he said that he would take care of Patrick and girls is just freaky as hell. Run, Patrick, take the girls and run for the hills! Rudolph Walker was a star today. I loved his performance of Patrick crumbling into pieces. His guilt over letting Denise and his sons down is overwhelming. I can't pay attention to a thing that Kim says because I can't take my eyes off her boobs which are HUMONGOUS. I thought that dialogue in Roxy and Ronnie's scenes was over done, but the actresses did a fine job by not doing too much. I am not usually impressed by either of them, but they were excellent today. I forgot, maybe I was wrong about Glenda. She was a good mum today. The Christian, Syed, and Tamwar scenes were adorable. I have always loved Tamwar. He is so sweet, funny, and dorky. He has always seemed out of place in the Masood family, but now it turns out that he is strongest one. It can't be easy for him to suddenly discover that his brother is gay. He was also brought up thinking homosexuality is forbidden. However, unlike his parents, he is capable of love, forgiveness, tolerance, and acceptance. It was nice to see him encouraging his brother to be more affectionate with Christian. I laughed when he balked at them kissing. I really like Syed's tentativeness and struggle to be an out proud gay muslim. I didn't expect EE to make this much of an effort to explain how Syed has reconciled his faith and sexuality so kudos to Kirkwood. As a whole, Christian and Syed have had a good week. I have enjoyed watching them getting accustomed to being a couple and actually talking through and resolving their issues without their previous hysterics. It gives me hope for them. Also, for the first time, I am really pleased with ME's portrayal of Syed. Instead of moments of good, he has given solid performances which have shown that Syed is in love with Christian.

LOL! I remember that scene. It was so over the top and hysterically funny in the midst of the sober funeral episode. For once, I was cheering Peggy on.

Degrassi: The Next Generation
Do I see Joey here? I so approve. I loved Joey. He was so cute and full of energy. Joey and Caitlin are my favorite Degrassi couple ever. No other couple has come close. I'm still hopeful that we get an episode with them getting married with Spike as the matron of honor and Snake as best man.

These strong summer ratings are good news for EastEnders, especially since they aren't doing tons of promotion. It shows that the audience is engaged. I think that the audience is tuning in for stories that are peaking or at crucial turning points. The Lucas reveal will be another big ratings draw.

I'm pretty sure that Syed's jealousy which has been there from the beginning was put there to lay the ground work for the issue of Christian's faithfulness. However, I really think that these two deserve a few episodes of happiness before more drama starts. Does Christian cheat? I thought that he has never has a partner and has mostly done one night stands and flings. While I think that his partying, flirting, and faithfulness should be an issue for Syed, I really can't see Christian cheating on Syed anytime soon. It should be held back as a story for a couple years down the line. I really have been impressed with Marc Elliot's portrayal of Syed over last three episodes. I believe that Syed loves Christian now. And I love the regular kissing. It feels like Kirkwood is giving the finger to the complainers on purpose. I really feel that the popularity of Christian and Syed allows Kirkwood to be more daring with them.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I enjoyed both episodes today. I think EE is on a roll. Lucas is so cold. I'm glad Patrick supported poor Libby about the coffin. These girls are in a bad place. I loved Kim seeing through Lucas. She better watch out for Lucas or she could be next. Is Kim going to a permanent addition? I remember the actress from "Beautiful Thing." It was great seeing John Bardon. He looks better. I can't believe Patrick chucked the girls out of the house. WTH? My poor Tamwar having to put up with Zainab and Masood. I cheered when he told off Zainab for ignoring Libby's pain and then told them that they were both wrong, Syed's alive. I laughed at his comment about Syed leaving Amira for Christian. LOL! Glad that someone remembers Amira. Tamwar was so sweet comforting Libby. They would have made an adorable couple, then again they would have just given Zainab and Masood another target to go off on. Okay, I'm beginning to buy Christian and Syed as a couple. Shopping for the new mattress together, Syed uncomfortable about being out, Syed's jealousy over that guy leaving the apartment, and actually having a conversation about their feelings and Syed's beliefs. However, I can't believe that Christian went to the mosque. It was so stupid. Hasn't he ever heard of the Internet? But it was good that he and Syed can talk about everything and resolved the issue. Isn't going to be easy street for them, but they are figuring things out. The rape reveal was well done. I'm glad that Ronnie was so controlled as she told Roxy what happened. Glenda's reaction makes me think that she suspected Archie sexually abused Ronnie. However, she is glad to use it drive a wedge between Peggy and Ronnie. That dress was ugly on Ronnie. I just don't like these Mitchell women, all these brassy annoying blondes. However, Glenda scheming against Peggy and then fighting over pushing Jack was funny. I must say that I love how busy the Square is. Those extras must cost a pretty penny, but it makes the place vibrant.

I think Amira's situation could be bad enough for her to send the baby to the Masoods. Remember how she said that Syed had condemned her to be her father's slave from now on and no one would touch her. Her father and family could reject Syed's child leaving her desperate to find a good home for her child. If the character of Syed is around in a couple years, I would like to see this story play out. I think that would be a great drama with a social issue angle. I wouldn't have missed Phil.
