  1. Did the real Tracy Delmar ever actually make it to town?
  2. The more I've seen of Marguerite Ray the more I feel bad she was fired. I enjoyed Redd too but after Ray had been on the show for so long I feel like she still could have held own through Mamie's stories in the 90s. Talking about old Y&R with my grandma I had to correct about Mamie's exact relation to Dru and Olivia as she remembered them being their mother. Too bad Mamie wasn't given any children herself or had some secret child(with John?) she gave up.
  3. Matt Bomer talks about his GL time on Late Night: http://michaelfairmansoaps.com/news/matt-bomer-recalls-ben-reades-dark-storylines-on-guiding-light-revealing-he-told-writers-just-throw-the-kitchen-sink-at-me-and-they-did%E2%80%99/2015/06/27/
  4. It's funny I read many times over the years Brittany was a love interest of Jack yet I haven't ever seen any scenes of it yet, mainly Brittany's interaction with her Rawlins family side. Her biggest claim to fame is probably the purse twirling in the credits. Then again Cassandra tangled with Victor and Brad which wasn't as fully developed they could have been. I think Sheila could have tangled with at least another man in her life...maybe David? Cassandra and Jill would have been a bitchfest, probably similar to Jill and Nikki. Jill probably would have called Cassandra a gold-digger and probably would have little time for her.
  5. I'm surprised that purse twirling Brittany was still on at this point although I do like her character. Too bad her and Cassandra were so isolated.
  6. I've been looking for one of these for a long time here, but this one was a promo from the fall 1995 that included the 1995-1997 opening credit profiles as well as different ones not seen, like how short Victoria's skit was:
  7. Thanks so much for reuploading and sharing these amazing 1990 episodes! A reminder of why Y&R became #1 and why it stood out from the rest, even when it had storylines like Katherine/Marge going on. Didn't Skip and Carol actually get their baby back when Nan realized she wasn't up for the task? As for Skip and Carol, I read one source that Skip was mentioned to have died in a motorcycle accident in 1991 but I have never, ever been able to actually verify that claim and I presume it be false. Carol stopped appearing in 1992 or so and was largely replaced by Connie Wayne. Connie has been more mentioned than actually shown and played by at least three or four different actresses, the last one in 2011 was significantly de-aged compared to the previous actresses.
  8. Dennis Partalo's first airdate was 5/1/97, and I believe Zaslow's final episode was 3/28/97 when Amanda broke off her engagement to Roger. Not sure if this has been posted but the highlight aside from Amish Reva hijinks was the fact Ed and Nola had some pretty bad blood between each other:
  9. Strange that ATWT even did crossovers with Y&R but never with GL at all. God I love this scene where Connor tears Lily a new one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVO0l0TYRFk
  10. Heh, I came looking for the Lisa Brown one after seeing it in the soap writers forum. She looks so gorgeous.
  11. I can't remember the exact details of how Stenbeck survived expect living out on a tropical island. Or was that when James came back under Sheffer with a presidential pardon? Unfortunately the one character I enjoyed who they did bring back, Damian was probably left off better dead although I believe Klein was writing at the point.
  12. Did we ever find out what happened to Jack after he fell off his boat? I was just rewatching the Stacy being gaslighted story and it was rather bizarre to say the least.
  13. They tried to get ATWT back on track and bringing back Holden and undoing Marland's work by letting his memory come back was a good thing. Undoing Marland's work concerning James Stenbeck was not.
  14. Holden returned on 1/03/97 so it was pretty much was borderline. Walsh and Demorest were writing by this time.
  15. Not sure if this has been shared but Holden makes his famous return on the motorcycle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tduV82-vlCs
  16. I feel bad he replaced Randy Brooks, who ended up leaving Y&R for a promising but ultimately very thankless and forgettable role on AW. It's interesting how far Eddie Cibrian has come from this, while I believe Julianne Morris biggest claim to fame remains that of being Swamp Girl on Days. Can never get enough of Mari Jo though.
  17. This did indeed air on 12/25/95 and was repeated on 12/25/07. It was famous for a rare moment where Y&R broke the fourth wall at the end. All the CBS soaps aired new episodes that day, each having their own memorable moments(B&B with Stephanie personally inviting Sally and CJ to Christmas dinner, Josh and Reva going down memory lane etc.)
  18. Back to those 1999 episodes I really must say I'm in retrospect impressed by Lesli Kay's ability to sell all the pointless, bizarre story that often ate the show up from Molly's early years. Carly and Molly were certainly more entertaining than the rest of the show at this point.
  19. I think what I found most interesting was the seeds those episodes set for the future, like the scenes where Sharon tells Paul all about her past with Frank(did he appear in 1995 or just named?) and her baby, a good year and a half before Tony and Grace found Cassie. I think the bloated cast did cause problems. For example when Epperson took over the role of Ashley there in '88/89 Ashley was the #2 heroine behind Nikki. By the time Epperson left at the end of '95, I'd have to say Ashley had fallen behind Nikki, Victoria, Nina, Dru, Olivia and even Christine.
  20. I know he was having his second affair with Nikki around the same time-frame but what was Jack's exact motivation for getting Ruthless published? That late 1993 ep was fabulous it largely a quiet, slow average ep yet ended explosively! Going back to the Blade/Rick story unfortunately the week of December 1995 episodes dealing with the aftermath have been removed but the best thing they did to save the story's denouement was getting Jill involved.
  21. They brought on Jake's half-brother Kevin who shared the same father but Kevin turned out to worse than Jake. They later brought on his son but the show was cancelled not long after they introduced him so they ended up doing nothing him although the actor was none other than Paul Wesley.
  22. The Sin Stalker was suppose to go after impure women but his choice of victims-Quinn, Maisie, Christopher Cousins' character, and Crystal Gayle don't really make too much sense in that regard. Except for Jake and Kathleen the rest of the McKinnon family failed.
  23. I honestly have never quite understood how saccharine Clarice lasted as long as she did. I suppose if she had a lasted any longer she would have been done in by the Sin Stalker, who also did in the pie-serving waitress.
  24. Ageism perhaps? In any case, I recall someone alleged that scenes and dialogue between Ada and Rachel surrounding the immediate aftermath of his death had been lifted from Gil's death a few years before. The viewer and his mother memorably summarized it as "just another dead husband for Ada".
  25. Christopher Knight aka Peter Brady was on as one of the forgotten Hobson kids too at this time. I remember an infamous one time Days script writer with the last name of Boof put up her AW fanfiction one which concerned Diana Frame. The Cass/Felicia/Kathleen/Wallingford stuff definitely gave AW cult status and a goofy niche that even Blanche Devereaux had to wach the continuing story.
