  1. The Gates was announced March 6. Significant? https://www.cpapracticeadvisor.com/2024/02/27/the-accountant-2-nabs-california-production-tax-credit/102038/
  2. Yeah, this saddens me. They coasted for 2-3 seasons (pretty much since Monique’s departure) without addressing any of the problems. They had a good run with not that many changes, but all good things come to an end. They struck gold (mostly) with this charismatic, thoughtful group of women, but every newbie has offered diminishing returns, which makes me think it’s going to be difficult to find good new cast members if they decided to do a reset.
  3. I think a lot of the characters have suffered from weak, dead-end, incoherent, and often convoluted characterizations under Chris and Dan (and yes, the preceding regimes) that there’s a lot of rebuilding that needs to happen quickly (trying to untangle folks like Ava, Nina, Heather, et al, all disastrous characters—and they happen to be played by some of the best actors the genre has ever seen). And while some of the dialogue is richer, the still-apparent, slapdash FV pacing undermines a lot of it for me. And, frankly, like others have said, a lot of the actors aren’t cutting it. I cringe watching Evan Hofer try to emote. Donnell Turner is out to lunch, and we can’t even thirst over him. This show needs to clean house.
  4. Anyone looking for a pen pal?
  5. That was actually the word I was going to use from watching recent episodes—clunky. Obviously, the new team has their work cut out for them. The Heather stuff has been off-the-chain terrible, though.
  6. Charrisse put Karen’s stint in rehab on blast last season. Obviously, Karen has a deeper problem she needs to address before it’s too late.
  7. Some of his finest “work” here: Seriously he’s a solid actor, though. Great as the young John Lennon in “Nowhere Boy,” a movie directed by his now-wife Sam Taylor-Johnson. And he’s done the action hero thing in the “Kick-Ass” movies and played a memorable evil creep in the movie “Nocturnal Animals”:
  8. Reports are out that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been offered the role of 007. Grain of salt, but I think he’d be great.
  9. Heartbreaking for Sabalenka. I can’t even imagine the mental health challenges she’ll face in light of this. His tweet translates to: “Stop starting a false controversy for nothing. It had been several games since he didn't feel well and he was starting to cramp. I didn't see him fall and I thought he was lying down because he had a cramp. When I understood that it was serious I immediately followed.”
  10. They’re actually putting them together as friends. I’ve been begging for that. But naturally it’s happening after they’ve done so much damage to Sally. She could have used a strong ally who wasn’t Chloe or the Newman dick she was riding.
