  1. Thanks, @AbcNbc247. I guess they didn’t have many options, although maybe Nicole from DAYS got a nice jolt with the Sami rivalry.
  2. I’m curious about this one in particular. What was their rationale?
  3. Compare what GH did with their Ned/Alexis affair, which traditional soap trajectory everyone here wanted for the Nate/Elena boink: peripheral characters surrounding Ned/Alexis all discovering the secret and ratcheting up the tension over weeks. Tracy returned and got involved. Meanwhile, Y&R took the path of least drama, with everyone in Genoa City finding out that Nate and Elena fúcked within a couple weeks. And here we are today, with Elena and Nate embarking on a dry, throwaway, socially distanced love story that has no rooting value or real tension while Olivia on GH is still none the wiser.
  4. Totally. Sometimes you have to call it like it is. There are harmful “angry black woman” stereotypes for sure, but Wendy was trying to dodge accountability for her behavior, which turned off viewers and her castmates. Telling considering how much she was throwing around the term “accountable” regarding Monique.
  5. I’m interested in seeing who returns for S6 after this Potomac reunion. Is Monique just going out with all guns blazing, or is she securing her spot, à la Porsha? This group feels like it won’t hold without some changes. Speaking of someone on the bubble: Wendy annoyed me with her hijacking of the term “aggressive” as somehow “colorist” against dark-skinned black women. I liked that Monique pushed back on that. Wendy and Candiace *did* behave aggressively. We all said Wendy came in to too hot. I just hate when people use the current political climate, which is addressing real social problems, so cynically.

  7. Well that was a mic drop for an ending on the RHOP reunion, Part 1.

  9. An article on all the gay Christmas movies this season:
  10. I totally agree with this assessment from AV Club about SNL’s bloated cast: https://tv.avclub.com/timothee-chalamet-amiably-pals-around-with-pete-davidso-1845871538
  11. So funny. Juan Pablo looks good and natural. Love Andie’s gray hair. She’s aged very well.

  14. They actually gave Ego Nwodim a pretty big platform tonight, with her pretty good Dionne Warwick impression. Too bad the actual material wasn’t that great. Auntie Dionne enjoyed it:
  15. LVP has had a rough few years, man.
  16. I posted this in the RIP thread, but his final performance was at last month’s CMA Awards, which was a maskless, in-person event, leading to speculation about when and where he contracted COVID.
