  1. Even though the writing here was shallow, Lily and Billy talking about how their parents’ relationships affect their own romantic relationships is the type of conversation I wish more soap characters had more often, and not just as a nod to history during a 12,000 episode week. It’s a conversation real people have.
  2. I can’t imagine how crappy it must feel when a temp recast is better received than you are, à la Lindsay Korman/Kelly Monaco on GH or now Justin Gaston/Donny Boaz here. I’ll just say that MO is blessed. Hubby is smokin’ hot. Might I say that Abby/Chance were actually sort of cute and fun today? I don’t usually say that about soap couples these days.
  3. It feels like every time I tune into DAYS, someone’s pulling a gun on someone.
  4. From Spain 🇪🇸
  5. It’s tough, I know, but IMO the charts feel particularly off right now.
  6. My top 5 most-listened-to songs on Spotify this year:
  7. This show isn’t even trying. B&B doesn’t deserve the actors who put their hearts into the drivel.
  8. I agree. Totally blanked on his nasty opening comment to MB.
  9. Merely having all these people in the same room gives this show a jolt of energy. Even Jill addressing Nikki with her back turned to her crackled with a tension that this show lacks on a day-to-day basis. Victor, Nikki, Jill, Nina, Jack, and Ashley all feel mythic and glamorous. Some of the other cast members are fine actors, but they don’t have IT. It’s also great to simply see characters touch, hug, and be close together.
  10. From Geneva 🇨🇭
  11. I turned it off as soon as I saw Liam with his doofy bedhead. This stuff isn’t fun to watch.
  12. The Talk names Amanda Kloots and Elaine Welteroth as new co-hosts, replacing Marie Osmond and Eve: https://tvline.com/2020/12/01/the-talk-new-hosts-amanda-kloots-elaine-welteroth-season-11-cast/
  13. The Karens all come to MB’s defense.
  14. I happened to watch the premiere, even though I’m kind of “eh” on the show. I really like Grace Park (Katherine) here, even though she has that icky NXIVM stuff swirling around her IRL. She’s a great actress.
  15. Justin Gaston is hot and looks to be quite tall. Danny who? Not that it will happen, but I wonder how MO would feel about a permanent change. Some people don’t like having to always work with their spouse.
  16. This guy sort of reminds me of David Tennant.
  17. Diane Jenkins and Hilary Curtis - Y&R I mean, there are almost too many to list. Soaps can often be so short-sighted in their search for big climaxes to stories (for ratings), and one decision made by a single reckless regime can hobble a show for generations.
  18. From Australia 🇦🇺
  19. Nick and Phyllis are a waste of time. They could have kept those scenes of Nick trying to convince her to attend the wedding. I’ll always be happy to see Nina and Jill on my screen. Bryton is the only actor on Y&R in his age range who has the gravitas to be in that scene with all the vets.
  20. Yeah, for me, charts need to accurately reflect what people are consuming, and streaming and radio are the ways most people listen to music. And the industry wants to incentivize revenue and reward fandom. But how many people beyond the small-set of BTS fans are listening to “Life Goes On”? That’s really the No. 1 song in America now? The charts have always been an imperfect way of providing a snapshot of what’s popular, but I can’t see how Billboard’s current situation does anything other than accelerate their march toward total irrelevance.
