  1. I can’t believe Andujar actually pulled it off. He’s not the most clutch player.
  2. Totally, but they have zero idea what to do with Victoria outside of Billy. We’ve had glimpses of non-Billy-obsessed Vicky (like with Travis), but it never lasts. That character needs a rethink, and as bad as the JT story was, it was the perfect opportunity for a reboot that would have been somewhat organic. (I understand it’s tough when they are tied together with kids. Maybe Billy needs a stint in prison or something, so that he’s off the canvas.)

  4. And the Kristen story is aimless too. As she tries to cover her tracks, she impersonates or imprisons someone new seemingly every other day, and the story gets further and further away from her initial plan to keep tabs on Brady and Chloe. It almost feels like RC puts a bunch of scenarios in a hat, pulls a few of them out each week at random, and calls it a show.
  5. IMO Michael Mealor vaguely works as Alex Donnelly’s son, so his Kyle doesn’t bother me lookswise. The problem for me is the mushy characterization. To start, the show wasn’t quite sure if they wanted him as a wild Lothario in a nod to Jack’s early days or a salt-of-the-earth romantic hero, and now he’s just bland.
  6. So chaotic. It’s like things just sorta happen and you think it’s gonna go somewhere and all of a sudden it’s
  7. What was the point of Chanel marrying Xander? I might have missed something… he’s already on to schtupping Nicole…
  8. Which one? My second Moderna ate me up…
  9. It’s insane that she’s gonna be 41 this year. That little boy Harrison is adorable.
  10. Thanks. I forgot about that. So another GH performer. I suppose it makes sense for GH to draw upon its pop culture glory days.
  11. Question: when was the last time a show honored the passing of a performer who’d been off canvas for as long as John Reilly/Sean? Is it unprecedented?
  12. The storyline flow on this show is so chaotic.
  13. Cuomo has announced that NY will adopt CDC mask guidelines starting Wednesday: fully vaccinated people can drop masks in most indoor and outdoor settings. Masks are still required on public transit, nursing homes, health care facilities, schools, etc.
  14. First tweet from the Gawker account in nearly five years:
  15. Kei Nishikori is gonna be a dad.
  16. I was reading that NBCUniversal had its eye on ViacomCBS (which would mean CBS the TV network would have to be sold off). A combined Peacock/Paramount+ would be an interesting offering.
  17. And it’s happening:
  18. I understand your POV, and it’s probably the POV of most people, which is why it would be risky. For me, it wouldn’t feel jarring that Abby hadn’t been shown feeling attraction to women previously. Sometimes people just spark with a certain person. And I think there would need to be some beats played to get there (which JG and team have never shown an interest in—see the rushed Sally/Jack pairing). I’m also thinking Mariah’s own journey (which ultimately resulted in a new sexual identity) might inform her initial reaction to Abby. Like, I’ve been there, girl. Don’t do this if you’re just lonely and dabbling and feeling like your previous relationships to men have failed.

  20. That was me. I’m very pro-sexual fluidity, mind you, but I think it could an interesting story for a restless, searching character like Abby to explore different aspects of her sexuality over time. And who knows? She may realize later on that she prefers being in a heterosexual relationship and break Mariah’s heart in the end. It could also give Mariah misgivings for handing the child she’s carrying over to Abby and Chance. Mariah might have been seduced by the idea of Chance never returning, and she and Abby starting a family together, only to have that have that dreamed dashed by Chance’s unexpected return. I’m not sure the show as currently written is the place for it, though.
