Her shade is hilarious: "All I can say is we employ a veteran, and he's a good person." She must have really wanted him out. I wonder if the execs regret it now that he apparently has gained weight. I wasn't going to check the show out but this makes it sound like it at least deserves a try. UnReal is SOOOOOOO good. I'm obsessed with it. It's not at all what you would expect from a Lifetime series. I highly recommend. If you're not a fan of Josh Kelly, don't worry; he's not the central focus.

NYC this week was such messy goodness, it just kept on coming from start to finish. Very reminiscent of old-school NYC back during the Season 2-4 days. Carole can't stand on her own. She always needs a sidekick to latch onto to look stronger. Heather's gone, so now she'll be the Cady Heron to Bethenny's Regina George. I'm glad Bethenny owned that she got ugly and used a lot of fowl language. HOWEVER, she barely apologized to LuAnn directly, but rather was upset that she allowed herself to go that dark. She crept out of Dorinda's house like a coward, ashamed of her own actions, while LuAnn -- the person she insulted -- was up making breakfast, being the better, stronger person. LuAnn won this one. I still think LuAnn loves to run her mouth off behind the scene, and then has a hard time owning up to it when the cameras are rolling, but overall she stood strong and came off the better person here. But boy, watching Bethenny, LuAnn, Ramona, and later Sonja, I just wish Jill Zarin was back. I'd love to see her go up against Bethenny while defending her buddy Lu. When she isn't "ambushed" by a surprise verbal attack, Jill could actually hold her own for the most part. Ramona continues to be the most level-headed of the veteran ladies and that's pretty funny. And God bless her, she's turning 60 in November and she looks amazing. Yes, I noticed Bravo is now airbrushing them as it airs in High Definition, but she still looks amazing, as does LuAnn. Meanwhile, Bethenny and Carole look gaunt in the face. And I'm not just saying that because they were the catty bitches in this episode. They either need to put on a few pounds or use better makeup to cover up the dark circles.

I love how LuAnn owns her whorish ways. That's why I don't get this argument. I give Bethenny props for the "snake" comment, a direct pickup from season three, and mad props to The Countess for her Chic C'est La Vie mention (I actually like that song a lot, haha), but who is LuAnn really trying to fool at this point? She's open with the girls and open with the audience.

NYC this past week earned 1.6 million viewers; last week it hit 1.5. Considering they usually only muster 1.2-1.3, I'll take this small victory.

I would've kept Kathryn. Not only did I warm up to her, but she was a good ally for Vanderpump. SO glad YoLemony will be axed. Eileen iced herself out with her insipid storyline, but hopefully she'll pop up as a friend, as RHOBH is always good at bringing back the former housewives for visits (minus Joyce & Witchypoo). LuAnn vs. Bethenny is funny as hell because they both like each other overall. LuAnn sticks her foot in her mouth and doesn't own up to her gossipy mouth, but overall has rejuvenated herself as a carefree woman who's having the time of her life while she can still get it. It feels like Bethenny's standpoint stems from 2009, not the here and now. Jules talking about her dying father and LuAnn interjecting with her petty Bethenny drama is such a delicious representation of these goofy self-centered ladies. At least *try* to act like you have compassion for someone else for a second, Lu! Carole is so desperate for relevancy and is pressed that Lu doesn't give an eff about it... Ramona coming off as the semi-rational peacemaker of the group is a refreshing change... Dorinda continues to be a slop-mouth when inebriated... It was unnecessary not to include Sonja at the Berkshires; if it was Bethenny's doing, whining at producers, that is UNCOOL and NOT REALLY necessary at all.

I'm a few weeks behind Dallas at this point. Is it worth catching up on, or is it on par with Potomac? If so, I'll skip. The last thing I remember is FakePoopGate on the deformed redhead's hat.

I haven't had the "pleasure" watching the 3rd installment, but I agree about letting BH fall into a descent of madness only for LVP to swoop in and bring back elegance and wit mid-season next year. I'm wondering though if Bravo is aware that their crown jewel (I'll refer to BH as the crown jewel and ATL as the money-maker, similar to ABC Daytime's view of AMC vs. GH back in the day) is tarnished, as they seem to be interested in polling viewers on who they deem most valuable/who they'd like to see return. They've gotta be smart enough to know that BH has gone the dark ways of New Jersey, NYC Season 4, and OC's recent cancergate. They'd be wise to bring back Camille if LVP exited, and beg her to amp up the sass, a la Season One. BTW, fellow Real Housewives aficionados, which do you find more enjoyable: retooling an existing brand or bringing on a brand new one, like Potomac and Dallas? I know my answer, but I'd like to pick y'all brain first

Hahahahahaha Our poor lil soapy gals... Rinna gave us panicked expressions of desperation on multiple occasions. Like when you tell a bad joke and are hoping someone will laugh, but instead you're left there in silence looking like an oaf. Glad Andy called her out. If you're gonna play the game, you gotta do it right. I think she initially thought the audience would back her, but learned otherwise. Eileen, I can't even defend. There was so much stupidity, nit-picky nonsense, and hypocrisy. In one single moment, she scolds LVP for not being considerate of her feelings and then dismisses LVP's. Pot, meet kettle. She shot herself in the foot by admitting that no matter how LVP apologies, sincere or not, Eileen won't accept it because she doesn't trust her. So WHY the endless back 'n forth all season over what constitutes as a genuine, heartfelt apology? Thanks for wasting our time over something that you'll never view as resolved. LVP's ellipsis (the three dots...) in her blog comment regarding Kyle being called an enabler on the beach, yet it was omitted in editing. Hmm..., indeed. Kathryn has definitely won me over. She had a rough introduction, but y'all are absolutely correct that she brings humanity to a situation that is mostly toxic. She can burst into tears, empathizing with Kim, yet they barely know one another. And it's not crocodile "Look at me! I care too!" tears like others (:::cough, Rinna, cough:::) I'm glad they included some lightheartedness in the middle of the episode. LVP looks ready to check out. A mid-season reentry, a la NeNe, would be a good way to ruffle their feathers next season. They will no doubt be in the middle of an internal battle, turning on one another after they believe they've dethroned The Queen. I'm just so over Yolanda and her Jerusalem Journey. She's nothing without her refrigerator and lemons.

Thanks for posting! That was at the tail end of his spectacular first era. I still think he sabotaged it on his way out. I didn't realize he was at DAYS until November of '97. Nearly every storyline took a nosedive around September and even Michael Logan smelled sabotage, as he admitted in his Best & Worst of '97 column... (Good Christ, the random soap opera things I remember, yet I barely remember what I ate yesterday). 19 years later, and I still don't know what Eric's dark secret was. Unless they're referring to that rewrite for him. Does anyone else remember around early '98 when you saw someone stalking Eric around Salem Place, and based on the boots & jeans, you would think it was a woman. Then when they finally revealed the person, it was a guy from Colorado and there was a one-day storyline about some faux rape allegations or something. Whatever they initially planned for him was swept under the rug. That must've been Sally Sussman-Morina's decision.

Finally caught up on NYC. Yes, Jules is just as bright as Kristen. And she's throwing digs about the other ladies' age in her talking heads. Why do they bring on women 25 years younger than their leads? The ageist remarks aren't needed. Carole, LuAnn & Sonja were barely on. Yes, Carole is itching for some sort of relevancy on camera this season. I also don't get this need for other women to constantly comment on how "gorgeous" Carole is. If they say it enough times, the audience will believe it? Ramona's initial drive-by apology to Dorinda was hilarious, but her genuine, heartfelt apology at dinner in the Hamptons made up for it. We finally have a new, non-scripted friendship between two housewives that originated years before the show began. We had/have that with Ramona and Sonja as well, but I wonder if Ramona has moved on from Sonja at this point, and they're just made-for-TV buddies now. Dorinda/John is a sad, toxic relationship. It's like she's addicted to a drug and knows it's bad but needs it to get by. I would hope that by seeing herself reflected on television, it'll help her see the light but we'll see. Are they still reportedly together? Bethenny and her "TV news woman hair" still gives us great zingers.

YoLemony always trying to be the voice of reason/voice of authority/get the final word in is obnoxious as f*ck.

I *so* wish Faye would agree to be on the show full-time. Or at least as a regular "friend of," similar to how she was in season three. It would be interesting with Kyle as her BFF and Kathryn's back history. That said, Kyle, Faye *did* sign up for this. She agreed to be filmed on camera and has even filmed talking head comments on and off in the past six years. She signed up. She's just not holding any diamonds and sashaying her way in a long gown in the opening theme. The reunion so far was decent, nothing too major. Lots of light, cutesy stuff with Erika Jayne/Girardi and another fluff pieces. I honestly don't remember them ever mentioning that she has a grown son. If they did mention it when they were greeted by the police chief at the restaurant, it totally didn't sink in with me. Rinna's "I brought receipts!" moment fell flat. A for effort, D- for execution. We'll see the followup next week. Eileen barely spoke two words, but brought her soap opera hair!

Dallas looks even worse than Potomac, but their preview for the whole season actually looked promising. I'm on the fence if I want to waste my time; hubby seems to want to watch it and Housewives is always one of "our shows" (except Miami... he watched; I didn't)

Potomac is the epitome of posers fighting about nothing. But, its ratings were decent since it followed Atlanta so I guess it's here to stay although it's about as relevant as Miami was to the overall franchise. Lord, Lord, Lord... CChhaarriissee is the biggest poser of them all. I cannot with her. I think I'll take smug, eye-bugging Katie over her. Last week, she corrected Ashley's "moot point" phrase and said it was "mute." No, just no. I love hearing these Housewives (OC is usually the funniest) use a common phrase incorrectly (i.e. Ramona's "mountain over a hole-mill") but it's even better when one corrects the other INCORRECTLY and acts all high & mighty about it! And now this week, she gives us the incorrect definition of the word "narcissistic" and maintains that she is STILL correct in her definition even after Robyn looks it up on her phone and gives the correct info. But the "best" part was at the very end of the night when they're getting their champagne glasses ready to toast, and Cchhaarriissee is all, "Ooh wait I have some news.... my husband and I have not spoken to each other since this show started airing" Translation: "Yo Andy, you're bringing me back next season, right???" Overall, despite Karen thinking of herself as "the star" of Potomac, there's not a single breakout character on this series. With Potomac and Dallas, it seems the "D-List" celeb status of women of Housewives series will be taken down to an F or P.

Beverly Hills was such a fail this season because both "big" storylines were centered around things that should've never been brought up on camera if they were genuinely such a big deal. The whole Munchausen thing started because Rinna felt compelled to admit, on camera, that she engaged in an off-camera conversation with someone who is not a castmember and she felt sh*tty about it. Firstly, her acting when she said that was off. I've seen her pull off more convincing performances as MP's Taylor and DAYS' Billie. It was obvious she was bringing it up on camera for a reason/storyline purposes. It reminded me of when they try to organically introduce a new castmember (i.e. OC's Tamra and her poor acting, inviting her new client, Heather Dubrow, into the group). Then, there was the "B" story of Eileen offended by Vanderpump's questioning. Been over this one already. Again, keep it off-camera or don't make a big deal of it if you don't want discussion of The Affair blown up. It's crappy because we all come from a soap opera fan base, so we *want* to root for Eileen and Rinna, but they were handed bad storylines. "I won't stick to your script," is Eileen's tagline. Clearly, she did. And it was a poorly written one. Meanwhile, each and every season, Kyle Richards comes off smelling like a rose. Even when she poorly acted bringing up Mohamed's children at the dinner table (again, a Tamra bad-acting moment, for reference). And she got a free pass talking ish about Camille in season one. Who's the true numero uno at manipulating the audience....?

:) Looking forward to it. They really know how to alienate their star player. LVP is so over this show and putting up with the B.S. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice.... Beverly Hills' finale episode felt weird and disjointed with their timeline. Granted, they wanted to capitalize on the breakup of YoLemony & My Love, but they clearly scrambled to grab a couple ladies to film a couple scenes in December, months after they already wrapped (meanwhile, I wish we could've seen LVP's home decorated for Christmas!). Their season finale party at Kyle's Palm Springs home fell flat. Rinna looked dumb backtracking with Yolanda and wimping out with Kim. The two tiny bright spots was Faye's appearance and LVP's little apology to her, as well as the final shot with Kyle and former "enemy" Camille dancing by the pool. That's what made this franchise fun, was the original cast's genuine friendships they built. Back to the disjointed timeline, they ended the episode with YoLemony & My Love at their former home (RIP Yolanda's Fridge!), two months prior, still "happy." Okay.

We checked out the first 10 minutes last night; will probably watch the rest of the episode, but by golly, the redhead on valium is ridiculous! It was both hilarious and cringe-worthy. First of all, her voice.... her friend's, too. And then that one line, "She farts on command and I dance in it." These two winos are so ridiculous I don't know if I hate it or love it because it's so stupid. Which was my overall feeling for Potomac, too. Haven't seen the rest of the ladies other than the two who don't know the difference between pushing or pulling a door. The previews definitely looks better than Potomac, and hope it's not just a bunch of etiquette lessons or who's more Texan versus the other the way Potomac turned out to be. The Potomac reunion showed what a bunch of posers each and every one of them are. Karen and her lousy charities, Katie's non-charities, Robyn the dragqueen getting all hot 'n bothered for no reason, Gizelle basically just a hater of younger, pretty girls, Charriissee sitting there like a couch stain.... I think after all is said and done, the only decent one who isn't trying to be something she's not is Spring-chicken Ashley. Her exchange in the park with Katie about Robyn's finances was petty, but producer-driven so whatevs.

His BFF Andy Cohen also loves to express his love of Nick. I don't know if I'm betraying "my own kind," but I get skeeved out when celebs in their upper 40's talk about their hard-ons for other celebs in their early 20's.

She should've asked Cynthia Watros -- THE WINNER -- to borrow her princess dress...

Agreed with all. It's near impossible to support Eileen in this mess, though this'll never affect her soap career, so she's solid there. LemonLyme dethroning LVP as Top Diva status would be like Beth Chamberlin trying to take Kim Zimmer's GL crown; Rebecca Budig reaching for Susan Lucci's; Arianne Zuker clawing for Deidre Hall's. It ain't happenin'.

"I'm secretly broke but pretending I'm part of the one-percenters..." "I'm guilty of white collar crimes, but I hope the feds don't watch reality TV!" etc.

Yasss! Love that my Big Apple ladies are returning! Loving the new taglines, but hate they didn't update *everyone* in the opening. P.S. I like the diamonds line for Dorinda, but nobody beats Camille's... (PPS.... I can't stand trying to quote the right person at the right moment on this message board, so pardon the repetitiveness, this message board is acting jenky for me) NeNe's break was definitely needed, for herself, for the group of ladies, and for us viewers. I like the newfound understanding between her and Sheree. They're the OG's and they've got a respect and understanding the others don't share as the originals who made the series the success it is. I hope both are back full-time next season. Loved that Porsha knows she can't mess around with NeNe, Kandi, or Sheree and expect to get away with it. So NeNe all but confirmed what we all suspected in season two.... she did in fact put her hands on Kim Z's neck and try to choke her... off-camera. The advice she was giving Porsha is no doubt the advice she was given by her people, probably around the time after the infamous bus incident of season 3. Those were the days.
