DOn't know if these were shared here before? Anyway, as we were reliving 1992 and 1993: these are two more episodes from the first half of 1992. (There a couple of more scenes and episodes on the channel as well, but I haven't pinned them down to a certain episode yet) # 1218 #1270

The credits to those 1988 episodes are interesting: even though the show is entering season 2 and it is beyond the first 250 episodes, both producer Gail Kobe of P&G fame and writer Meg Bennett are still listed in the credits. I'd thought that they both left after the first year, but now it seems they left sometime in the late spring/summer of 1988. Thank you so much for these. Those late 1992/early 1993 episodes are amongst my first memories of watching B&B with my mom and whilst I managed to catch up with most of 1987-1992, I haven't seen much 1992-1996 since it's original broadcast while I have the fondest memories of this time. That Sheila and Dr. Garvin scene in the December 1, 1992 you posted a while back is a prime example what I loved about 90s B&B. There are so many great tongue in cheek scenes around all the yada-yada-love triangles.

Did they re-run B&B in the Netherlands or is up for streaming somewhere?? The picture quality is pristine in those videos. This cannot come from old VHS tapes...

It works on Safari. Just checked it. Try another browser... There used to be GREAT recaps on cbs.com - and every day had one screen cap. It was from 01/01/1998 onwards. Too bad that they got rid of the recap section for the soaps when they switched to full episodes being streamed. Such a waste to take the sites off the world wide web as it had zero data consumption; it just didn't fit into the new layout of cbs.com

The German DVD sets consist of episode 1 - 250. So it's season one (I always count March 23 as the beginn of a season - unlike CBS nowadays...) plus a couple of episodes of the 1988/1989 season. If anyone has access to the B&B press site (or knows someone who has - any of SON staff?), they could also be of help. There are (or at least used to have) episode recaps to ALL shows, they call it "log lines". Just on some random occasions they contain characters/storyline that were not (!) part of the screened episode but it is still the most helpful source out there. Unfortunately, I didn't save all of these when I used to have access to the site. Bummer! Speaking of airdates: do we have the exact date for the first TRIDGE (Taylor & Ridge) wedding in May 1992? This is day 2 with the actual ceremony.

The problem with 1987 is that - apparently - there were like a dozen (!) premptions in July/August. Yet, it seems impossible to find out when exactly the show was preempted. So it’s all a wild guess. 1988 is a lot safer as there it seems were a lot less preemptions. Often airdates given on youtube are sketchy at best as there is conflicting information. The easiest way to get episode numbers is the German recap (but don’t buy the supposed US airdates listed there...) site I posted a couple of pages earlier in this thread. But beginning with episodes from 1989 I think.

Both the return of Stephen Logan and the beginning of the Angela story started before the shooting. You may check imdb.com for recaps of at least the first half of 1988...

That's soooo true and hard to imagine these days. I started watching Y&R during the mid 90s but later got to watch 1986-1988 and was SHOCKED that Miguel and the Newman Ranch et al. existed, but Victor was just one of many characters and Newman Enterprises didn't properly serve a function back then. It's me pesting you again. LOL Do you have information on any of these characters??? They were all part of the eligible Bachelor Party for Kristen in June 1988... Elliott Winters, Doug Morissey, Michael Williams, Dr. Paul Victor, Prof. Michael Littlewood, Norman Howard [no dialogue but mentioned by name: Cliff Simpson, David Curtis, Ryan Kohn] BTW: I just saw that the party FOR KRISTEN has one of the weirdest and gayest pieces of dialogue ever on B&B. Amidst 9 other shirtless bachelors, a naked Storm says to Ridge: "There are some interesting men you invited to the party..." That's definitely what straight would be talking about at such an event. LMAO!

I assume that this might become quite pricey - and the issue of conversion in a YouTube-able format is also a problem, huh? Anyhow: I'd be willing to throw in something to sponsor for the purchase of these tapes...

The Donna bit was so weird. She was out of story for ages and just a waste bin for any man Macy was interested infor the most part of 1989-1991. Cut to March 1991: the show suddenly begins to rekindle Bill and Donna. After three episodes, suddenly Carrie Mtchum is gone (due to contract dispute? illness?) and replaced by Marie Sheldon and wraps it up within another three episodes. Storm consoles Donna and applauds her for turning Bill down - and they are never to be seen until Ridge & Brooke's beach wedding in 1994. A couple of weeks/months (?) later, Brooke mentions that both Donna and Storm have moved to San Francisco. As for the balance: like 1990, the year was EXTREMLY Ridge-centric. Yet, there many B-stories and it was one of the busiest years ever for Sally. There even was an episode with feautured just her, Clarke and Julie. And Darlene Conley knocked it all out fo the park. All of it: campy fashionista, vengeful wife and frightened mother of age. 1991 was her year, as well as of Susan Flannery's (the homeless story on Skid Row).
