Sure.. I tried a few to find replacements for the boring US soaps. I still love my GH and YR but there are way better soaps out there. But interesting that one year after Germany did their soap opera verbotene liebe that the they from Sweden did their own. Never heard about it. I just know that Poland did a version of their own of “Unter uns”.. I will check this Swedish version out

Oh wow. I catched up with the farewell! It was a good sent off for Liv and Faith! but tragic that this is the 50th anniversary! But it’s safe to say Emmerdale will win a few awards for best drama probably and best family again (Dingles)

I’m quiet over Corrie… Phelan was great.. A bit dragging but still good. Then we got Geoff who terrorized Yasemeen (her only good story) Then we got like Kelly’s dad and Gary as a new serial killer. If that’s not enough they introduce another serial killer. Like Bro. Just stop this ridiculous mess. No way in hell are there that much serial killer in a cobbles like this.

Nadine Dehmel as Nataly and Oliver Petzsokat (Oli P) as Ricky were my very first personal super couple! It broke my heart when he left her. I remember that people wanted him back for the 2000th Episode or when Nataly was leaving the show. i still hate GZSZ for firing Nadine/Nataly. She was one of the biggest fan favorites and her weird amnesia story and Jo Gerner taking advantage of her was a hot mess. That she tried to get some payback was awesome! I have watched UU and during the first 300 episodes they have burned through at least 12 story arcs. No wonder it feels out burned by now Oh no. Moni is leaving UU? 7000 Episodes Unter Uns 🤣 I loved that show since like forever but this show has quiet outstayed it’s welcome. It’s worse than “Verbotene Liebe” back then. Everytime u think something major happens and UU gets remotely interesting the writer screwing up again! Like what’s the point of Corinna and Chris being back after 23 years? Oh yeah so that Chris can work in that place he never wanted to work back then after working as a cop. Corinna owning a hotel? Ok.. wasted characters. Last year Ringo was driving Benedikt insane and now that plot is completely forgotten. David-Paco could’ve some potential but it never took off coz they threw Britta in the mix.

Depends on the country. I don’t think soaps in Germany are that much in danger. i don’t even think UK soaps are that much in danger. The only Soap dying in 5-10 years in the UK would be EastEnders. But no way would ITV give up on Corrie. US Soaps have been dying since the 2000’s. But if B&B keeps up the numbers then it won’t go anywhere. That Days even made it to 2020’s is a wonder. what really kills soap operas are those annoying stunts and serial killer storys. It’s one thing if u pulled a Phelan Story but to go on and start another one is just over the top. GH/Days should drop their sci-fi/fantasy storys for good (even though it’s too late for Days)… No wonder they don’t gain a new audience with their horrible over the top fantasy storys. No new watcher wants to see that bs

I just realized now that Cooper is played by that Tony Dinozzo guy from NCIS back in the day. Wow. He really had a glow up.

And this is why I hate Devon… he can go to hell for all I care.. This is the reason why I sided with Nate. Shame they dropped the big betrayal and didn’t pursued it further. They could’ve done so much more with Devon/Nate and their feud.

I knew it was Liv… They kinda confirmed way before the anniversary week that Liv’s character will die off… I suspected it that it would be during the 50th! im sad about her loss

Oh no… I’m not happy coz GH Cast is blooded as hell and Frank and his team suck in writing for Liz and everyone involved with her. im scared about this

I was one of the only few people that seem to have cared for Nate’s story on FB, Twitter etc. and THIS is all that came out from it??? wow… I never thought a soap opera were able to still hurt my soap-feelings/heart in 2022 but Y&R managed it. Thanks for nothing.🤣 Thanks for letting me get invested just to drop it. But hey why don’t u put more annoying Chelsea on screen or Chloe/Adam bickering that is outplayed since 2016. I’m so mad at YR right now

I just realized that Jack is still in this show. I completely forgot about his existence 🤣 His story with No-Chemistry Denise is so boring. I see the improvement but the story’s still feel flat.

Great recap and great thoughts. But I do think Darren/Ethan works. I mean Ethan did spare his live and was in a difficult situation back then. Silas end was satisfying and im glad its done for good! Sid is a big loss for Hollyoaks. I hate the Chen-Williams Family. Besides Ethan they do nothing for me. About your axing thoughts: Warren has to stay. He makes this show wholesome 🤣 Oh u brought up Spencer. I forgot about him. I remember he was quit a good friend with the Valentines family. Didn’t he moved away with them during the 2010 revamp? The only two people he murdered that I will never forgive Warren for are Louise and Bart! Even though I understand why he killed Bart. Weird that he didn’t killed his son for that too? I mean he was responsible too. I still hope they would do a re-write and bring back Louise. She was the best! Sienna/Warren is dead. I agree on that. Maxine is my favorite. Grace too but I could love without Grace being gangster again tbh. She was so much better as that soft and vulnerable women Ste is the most overrated character of this entire show tbh. His character died for me when Amy was murdered and when he joined the rascist group back then. It didn’t made any sense. His best story’s were when he was with Amy and then with Brendan. The connection that Ste thought he was deserving the beating because of what he did to Amy showed a lot of character development and how he learned from it.

I would love for a twist like this. Nikau got over Bella way too quickly in my opinion. The Nikau/Heather thing seemed quiet odd. 🤣 But the rumor about Ziggy/Dean would make me upset if they would really leave. But even if they do they would still be on air until 2023. I didn’t heard anything about Tane leaving. That would be a shocker. I like him with Felicity I dont mind the newcomers tbh. I saw the hate this band gets and I’m confused. I saw the old episodes and people pretend like HAA was so much better and the characters but the band of Frank, Roo and Martin was much more hideous then Theo’s band. Bree seems interesting and I can’t wait to see what they will do with her character. Remi has potential. He reminds me a bit of Liam from the late 2000’s and early 2010’s. Rose has potential but its hard to care for her. But I do like Xander. I hope he will be used more properly soon.

That they even use the Love Boat name… Such a disgrace to a wonderful show (minus the final season.. Even though the final season wasn’t as bad as this love island on a boat rip off lol)

They really outdone themselves with the 7900th Episode and the Heather/Marylin Drama in that castle. I loved that the old vets were used so heavily during this episodes again. Im quiet surprised when I look at the cast. Normally most characters leave after 1-2-3–4 years but we have so many characters right now who have been in it for over 1000+ episodes. Thats a record for HAA to have so many long running characters in it lol

I enjoy Y&R for what it is and think some of the old years weren’t that great like people make them out to be actually. It was better but had dull stuff in it too. I haven’t watched the last 6 episodes and don’t feel the need right now coz of Phyllis, Chelsea and the never ending bickering between Chloe/Adam. Either let them hook up, let her kill him for Deliah or let her move away or let him kill her. But the same dialogue between them and the same bickering. Ugh I just can’t deal with it anymore
