  1. I'm not imagining the Erica Kirk parallels with Willow? Willow sure came along way from the basket case she was when I last watched back in the Fall. I like it.
  2. I was wondering about Tony and Anabwlle, but was not sure. Also, iirc Prince Alionzo's demon seed was named Will. Anybody remember the name of Edmund's retconned dead daughter? I'm sure she would've turned up alive to stir trouble for Shayne and Marina. No man deserved bland Marina.
  3. Alan and Beth are really disgusting, espescially knowing that he was in cahoots with Bradley at times.
  4. Lol. My brother and I used to mock him.. "I wanna be a COP, like muh DAD!" Wanted to add, that I liked Gus. I'm glad he wasn't Selina and Miguel's son-- nobody deserves that. After Dinah left in 99, would've been a good time to bring in Stacy-- Vanessa's troublesome niece stirring shizz up. Its all too soaplike to replace one character with a new character that fills the same void. Stacy would perhaps be spoiled, globetrotting with her dad, while Nola and Quint were apart. I don't know where Nola was supposed to be in '99, according to @alwaysAMC recaps, it seems like she may have still been in town, but offscreen until Company is sold to BUZZard?
  5. Re: Dorie. India mentioned Doroe getting married soon, she easily could've had a child. I'd also like to think that Tony/Annabelle had a few kids and Johnny/Rosie. I'd have Mindy and Rick adopt... from an unwed young mother (for maximum soapiness).
  6. I always found it funny how all of Alan's grandchildren are biological Marlers.
  7. April 1, 1980. Roger "died" in San Domingo.
  8. Selina's grown lawyer son with Miguel Santos who was hinted to be Gus Aitoro for over a year, but was changed by the HW-team of Taggart/Culliton. Having a cop discover that he was the son of the local mobster family would basically be Danto on GH, changing course was the right decision. Taggart/Culliton were smartly de-emphasising/ phasing out the mob during their brief run.
  9. With all of the kids hatched in the 90s and 00s, there'd be a plethora of adult legacy characters. Maureen Reardon II (Matt/Vanessa) Peter Reardon (Bridget/Hart) Clarissa Marler (Ross/Blake) Jason Marler (Ross/Blake) Kevin Marler (Ross/Blake) Francessca (Frankie) Cooper (Frank/Natalia) Rocky Cooper (adopted by Buzz) Emma Spaulding (Phillip/Olivia) Peyton Spaulding (Alan/Beth) Sarah Randall (Lizzie/Jonathan) Baby girl Lewis (Shayne/Edmund's dead daughter) Baby girl Lewis (Bill/Lizzie, seen but unnamed in finale) Leah Bauer (Rick/Felicia) Zach Spaulding (Phillip/Harley) Jude Bauer (Rick/Harley) announced Bordreaux pregnancy in finale? (Remy/Christina) Robbie Santos (Michelle/Danny) Hope Santos (Michelle/Danny) RJ Winslow (Cassie/Hart) that demon kid that Cassie adopted, the bio father was Prince Alonso-- Edmund's real brother Colin O'Neal (Reva/Jeffrey) Stacy Chamberlain (Nola/Quint) any that I missed?
  10. I remember that when GA returned as Phillip, the mags reported that CBS suits were watching to see if there'd be a ratings bump. Apparently, that was GL's last chance. IMO, Phillip's return was easily the highlight of the final years, but the experimental format chased away too many grandmas, I guess. I would've liked to have seen GL continue on PBS (because of historical importance), but with P&G ownership-- that would never happen. Also, Wheeler's pitch to reboot was horrible for CBS but could've worked on public television with fewer episodes a week.
  11. April 1, 2009. The axe fell on our beloved GL. Its hard to see how GL could've gone on much longer than it did, considering what little budget they had.
  12. Unlike Mendorra on Rauch's OLTL, San Cristobel just goes on and on. It was like how will they resolve the island plot-- will there be a coup sending all these new characters to Springfield? No, they'll just go back and forth like it was a trip Cedars to Company.
  13. I saw Kristina namedropping Blaise to Ya-cinda, I don't suppose there's any shot of her coming for her brother's funeral. I'm catching up on Hulu, I think I'm in the middle of last week now.
  14. They should've brought back Morgan as a spoiler for Josh and Reva. Maybe instead of Josh/Olivia because Josh had history with Morgan. Kelly Nelson could return to town as new chief of staff at cedars, have a fling with Reva while Josh is with Morgan.
  15. It was long forgotten, but during the John Bolger era-- Reva and Phillip were friends. I'm kinda surprised she didn't have e a strong friendship with Danny. They seemed like they'd get along well. Reva's the type who could've used a "gay" or "gay-coded" male bestie, like Henry to Katie on ATWT. Either that or a height-impaired character like Wallingford on AW. Also, its probably more realistic for Reva not to have close-friends but friendly acquaintances like Holly, Lillian, Harley. I'm the same way, I don't really have close "friends" but I have plenty of friendly acquaintances via work or social media.
  16. which characters do you wish returned full-time? Hope, Rita, kelly nelson, Lucy, MH as Ed, Ross, Sam Marler, Melinda Sue, Roxie, Judi Evans as Beth
  17. It's too bad Fletch didn't stick around, while I thought he was played out when he left- he was a refreshing familiar face to see when they returned. A bit of old GL before they blow up the whole thing that Summer. If Fletcher stayed, maybe they wouldn't have revisited ...
  18. I think Fletcher was just part of Rauch's culling that included Bridget. Fletcher had a good run. In '97- I was like "he's still on?", so he was definitely deadwood. Another one of his early memorable stories was when him and Maureen went down to Beiruit and Ed knocked up Fletcher's girlfriend Claire (with Michelle). Fletcher and Mo had a radio talk show for some reason. This was in '85 when crazy nurse Charlotte Rampling was trying to destroy Ed's life for no apparent reason, before being murdered by her tv reporter sister for some reason. Yes, 1985 was a banner year for the show. Lol
  19. I guess TPTB felt that having the diner and Company was redundant. Given the choice I'm glad they chose to keep Company since that setting was there since the Marland days when it was the Wired for Sound club. I guess Buzz winning the lottery was to give him capital to invest in his business. They continued treating him as middle-class compared to Spauldings, Marlers and Bauers.
  20. @alwaysAMC re: abigail, that's the medical leave I was hinting at-- the actress irl got a cochlear implant. They were new at the time and there was somewhat of a debate in the deaf community over it. They are building up to writing that into the show.
  21. Days is way worse, its like 8-9 months now. Seven at the very least. @alwaysAMC congrats on one year with the GL fandom. I really enjoyed reliving the show via your recaps. That show will always hold a special part in my heart, I was exposed to GL at a young age. I couldn't watch cartoons until 4! The generational viewership is what fueled soaps for generations. My grandma would listen to TGL on the radio while gardening Congrats again!
  22. I'm at June 1994. They are clearly tweaking things to keep Todd around. At what point did they decide that he connected with the audience and they had to pivot to keep him around long term? Spoiler
  23. That would also help crackdown redundancy. The way it is now you can have dallas conversation under either primetime soaps OR cancelled soaps.
  24. JG can't be this bad, can he? Is it possible that he is mandated to keep things as "safe" as possible thus no real stories and an eternal holding pattern while ratings are (sadly) sustained? Either way, Y&R viewers are screwed.
  25. Watching the March 18, 1980 episode on YT, building up to the climax in Santo Domingo. Exciting stuff. Roger was posing as room service when Chrissy called out "Roger!"
