Didn't Robert Scorpio have a secret room in the 1980s with all his WSB spy equipment? I guess you could call that "work-from-home". LOL this is all so silly. To work from home as a spy, you'd have to have a "SCIF" that separates your computer and from the rest of the world, with all sorts of security measures, and a secure phone, (not a regular cellphone on which military battles should not be discussed)

Update: I had posted earlier that it was a Japanese Tea Ceremony in the wedding photos. CORRECTION: NOT a Tea ceremony. This is "sankon no gi", which usually involves a dedicated/blessed wine. I was recapping Paul's reasons, not Andrew's; but I get what you're saying. I honestly hadn't considered any of what you said, probably because I have no personal interest Cat/ISA, or the EJ/hospital-acquisition from Monday June 23. And I have no interest in Belle babbling to Carrie about EJ, or Kayla having the book without knowing Stephanie is the author, which they included in today Tuesday June 24. The Shane/Tate convo made sense, because Shane is in town, and the baby is due soon, so that was very timely. But otherwise I was expecting it to be primarily a wedding episode. The Marlena/Rachel convo was relevant, but did it have to be today? Anyways, I think you're saying that the writers are working on ongoing storylines -- Titan/DiMera/hospital, "who shot EJ", Belle/EJ, and Sophia's pregnancy. . . . . (Edit to add here, and also Stephanie's book ). And they are starting up something new for Cat. I think you're saying that the writers decided to weave all of those ongoing and upcoming storylines into the episode-before-the-wedding and the wedding episode. I read a similar theory somewhere online this morning, where someone thought that in the past two days, Shane was given only lines relevant to the ongoing storylines, and he wasn't given a full conversation with Andrew. (At least not yet). Carrie and Will didn't get to talk about their own lives because they're not on canvas. At least Carrie showed photos of Noah to family a couple of weeks ago. Carrie was thankfully there for Marlena and John! and thankfully at the wedding. But Carrie's conversation with Belle was about Belle's love life -- because Belle's love life is a current storyline. It just just doesn't feel "clever" to me for the writers to do things this way. It feels to me more like plotpoints being arranged on on a diagram to fit things together, or like playing Tetris to see what they can squeeze in where. It doesn't feel like what the characters in these situations would really talk about. Regarding Shane, I understand budgeting and availability, but Cat's storyline didn't need to be now. I think Cat is an unnecessary character.

I do remember scenes when Smitty was affectionate with an implication that he wanted more, and Martin seemed standoffish. Maybe not a block but a vibe change and then the end of scene, implying that Martin said no. I always suspected it was because Martin's trauma/memories make him feel weird. And Smitty senses that but thinks Martin is rejecting him. I think there were other times when Smitty wanted to talk and Martin tried to distract Smitty, but then Smitty felt it was fake, so backed off. I cannot say that's exactly what happened onscreen, but that's what I sensed has been happening. I'm invested enough that I create backstory in my mind and then I'm not sure if it aired or is my headcanon.

Yes, that's what makes BTG so great. The characters might be over-the-top sometimes, but most of them feel like real people with *nuances*. (although Leslie and Ashley seem extreme, most of the other characters feel real to me). The BTG characters aren't generic characters being used as pawns moved on the chessboard of a storyline. Sometimes I feel like DAYS would do that -- they'd want to do a story and just pick whatever random character wasn't being used that week, or whatever actor needed to fill a guarantee, or whatever actor was available -- and then just plug that character into the storyline even if it makes no sense for the character. And DAYS has some generic characters that are interchangeable, or used as plotpoints, etc. Okay so actress XYZ isn't available this week, that's okay, we'll just give her lines to actress ABC, and it will be fine. That (plugging one character into another character's place) wouldn't happen on BTG. If there was a major shift, then the recharacterization would be written out and played out so we could *see* it and not just be told it. Each BTG character is distinct with strengths and weaknesses. And I appreciate that!

B&B preempted on Monday, June 23 due to news. In any markets not affected by the news, CBS broadcast episode #8734, which originally aired on March 25, 2022. New episodes are being pushed to the next airdate. CBS.com and ParamountPlus didn't upload the preempted episode or the repeat. CTV-Canada didn't know about the preemption in time, so CTV broadcast the new episode. Monday's preempted episode is up on CTV.ca, listed as "Episode 193, Monday June 23." This is the episode that will air Tuesday June 24 in USA. (no spoilers in this nonspoiler thread, just logging what happened)
