  1. I agree that a recast in itself is not a spoiler, as the character is remaining. The discussions speculating about potential changes in character direction/writing could fall into spoilerish territory. I just think it's less constraining to discuss it on a spoiler thread.
  2. This is the BTG non-spoiler thread. Can we please discuss the recast on one of the spoilers threads. It's already being discussed on a thread of its own in the spoilers section. and also on the March spoilers thread, and also on Errol's new thread.
  3. a line of dialogue I agree with: Gabi: "With Leo Stark, there's always a stupid scheme that he's right in the middle of".
  4. @detroitpiston That's interesting that you spotted Keith D. Robinson behind-the-scenes during premiere week, thanks for the pic. In one of the interviews before BTG debuted, it was said that there's a three-month tape-to-airdate gap. I wonder if Ted was already recast before the character debuted? In which case it's interesting that Maurice Johnson has been tweeting support of the show and his character Ted daily. (wondering? ) perhaps Keith D. Robinson was on the set for some minor dayplayer role, which is why he was visible in that pic, and then more recently he was moved into being a Ted recast? I have no idea what actually happened. Just trying to come up with possible theories. Deadline says Keith D. Robinson's "first episodes are scheduled to begin airing in May".
  5. Maurice Johnson was tweeting about Ted last night! He tweeted about the show frequently all these weeks, interacted with viewers, reweeted BTG posts
  6. March 2025 interview with Y&R costume designer Mandi Line https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/yrs-costume-designer-mandi-line-on-her-genoa-city-style-takeover/ Various things discussed. The last paragraph is how she works within the limited budget.
  7. Updated via zap2it.com (Link) Season 38 , Episode 133 Friday March 28, 2025 Deacon's response to Sheila's good news takes her by surprise; Will attempts to tell Electra how he feels and what he hopes their relationship will be.
  8. Great interview. I like what she says at the end: Michele Val Jean: "You've got to believe in your knowledge of who the characters are. I can't speak for everybody, but I listen to the characters -- they tell me what they need and where they want to go. My job is to get them there in the most interesting and compelling ways possible. That's what I do."
  9. March Madness preemption of CBS soaps is always 3rd Thursday/Friday of March. (only time that changed was in 2020 when Covid changed everything). So Friday March 21 is end of basketball preemptions for 2025. At this time CBS broadcast TV is *not* carrying UEFA Champions League soccer "round of 16" and *not* carrying UEFA Champions League soccer quarterfinals. (The soccer is on CBSsports/paramount streaming options only) Thus zero soccer interference with broadcast CBS soaps in February, March, and early to mid April 2025. Unknown if CBS broadcast TV will carry the UEFA Champions League soccer semifinals. If they do, it's during the end of April, start of May, which could affect CBS soaps in some timezones (maybe). To be announced at a later date.

  14. That was my first thought, LOL. But (hopefully) Drew dies? (not a spoiler, just a hope) and Cosgrove's character causes it, thus saving GH from dreadful Drew.
  15. Hell no. Even if as platonic friends, I don't want Laura interacting with her rapist ex as the glorified end of GH. Just no
  16. As longtime soap viewers, I love that we have a soap archetype shorthand that can be expressed easily to other longtime soap viewers who are new to BTG. Dani has the fire of Erica Kane -- if Erica had refused to give up her career, combined with Katherine Chancellor's angst/divorce/jealousy/drinking Hayley is a young Jill Foster Leslie/Dana is old-school Sheila Carter (not the current watered-down Sheila) Gossipy Nurse Sharice Johnson is Amy Vining Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson is Dr. Marlena Evans I could chat with anyone who knows soaps, and say those things, and they'd get it immediately. Cady McClain said on IG that her character Pamela is the Opal Gardner to Dani's Erica Kane. Except that we viewers saw that Pamela is all posh which is different from Opal. So what Cady meant wasn't that Pamela is like Opal, but rather that they have that type of friendship. We haven't yet seen much of that yet, but what Cady said is an example of explaining via soap archetypes.

  18. I thought Michael mentioned a new name to Victor in that tweeted preview video for week of March 24, but I wasn't sure. Here's same preview for week of March 24 by official "YR_insider" youtube
  19. ^ above screenshot is from DaytimeConfidential. https://daytimeconfidential.com/2025/03/19/robin-strasser-nixes-calls-for-general-hospital-stint-suggests-beyond-the-gates-appearance Robin bemusedly replies here:
  20. Costume designer Jeresa Featherstone said that Eva is a "thrifter" (buys her clothes at thrift stores). Any wardrobe the show purchased for her was adjusted to look like it came from a thrift store, yet it still suits Eva's style.

  22. "a look ahead" preview video week of March 24:|
  23. unproven random *speculation/theory* that they were going to have Chloe arrive with Joy, but Nadia wasn't available, so they reassigned some of the planned scenes to other characters... and they reassigned Chloe/Brady to Ava/Brady, which made zero sense to me. If Chloe were in Salem, then the whole storyline of Joy being conceived in order to get bone marrow to save Chloe from leukemia -- could have created an interesting dynamic with them as adult women, and especially now (if) Joy is pregnant. I think without Chloe, that Joy just doesn't have enough meaningful connection on the canvas. (On a side note, bringing in Joy for Body&Soul was also pointless, but that's because Body&Soul itself was entirely pointless.)
