It's too bad, because a lot of us were fans of Sophia in the beginning, and wanted her to like destroy Tate and Holly lol. For me, what ruined Sophia was them turning her into a complete psycho. She worked much better as the scheming, trouble making mean girl, especially because it all made sense based on what we already knew about her character, IMO. And I think that should've continued on while she was in Bayview, instead of all the stuff with Rachel, the supplements, etc. It also could've led to some good conflict for Tate/Holly if they had continued to write her like that.

Trina being so alright with what Joss did to Cam was such a missed opportunity for good conflict between her and Spencer. GH spent years telling us that Trina had feelings for Cam, and implying that, deep down, she felt that Joss stole him away from her. When Joss confessed everything, Trina should've raged at her, and cut her off completely, which in turn, should've made Spencer realize that she still had unresolved feelings for Cam. Sad that we didn't get that. It's her own fault 😂😂😂

I hate to admit it, but I am too. I expected Kristen to turn on Sophia, but I did not expect her to bash her head in with a rock and then have her body thrown in the river.

I think the cancer story could’ve worked for LG, somewhere down the line. Maybe after Sarah realizes that she does still love Xander more than she’ll ever love Brady 😂😂 As for Johnny and Chanel, there was still plenty of meat left in the storyline of Johnny being estranged from EJ because of Sami’s rape/EJ trying to cast Chanel as a suspect in his shooting.

Just like with Leo/Gwen on Days. You don’t betray the people who love you in the worst way possible and then discard them from your life like they never meant anything to you 😉😂 Luckily, Joss and Leo are both paying for that now

For me, it was the sick, disgusting way that she just discarded her bf, Cam. And until recently, left Britt to “die” She’s been dead to me ever since 😂😂

It kinda feels like the wrong story for Chanel, IMO. She should be more like the steady hand in Johnny’s life, helping him get through his problems rather than having any of her own.

You’re in good company 👍😂😂 And it’s well past the time to finally write her out. It just doesn’t work anymore

What? The cliffhanger ending yesterday was only Johnny's dream. I understand fakeouts on soaps but that was just stupid. How do you end an episode with a good cliffhanger, and a good hook to get fans to tune in tomorrow, only for it to end up being nothing? This was not a good idea. Not at all. Johnny and Chanel getting caught in the explosion definitely should have actually happened. And I would much rather that have led to a storyline for them, rather than Chanel possibly having cancer while pregnant. But I didn't mind Javi coming to the rescue, even though the budget issues were a little obvious lol. It's always been good seeing him in paramedic mode. It helps get him out of those bubbles that he often got stuck in with Leo, and the Hernandez's. The cliffhanger was ok too, even though Al's acting was a little... 😂😂 Hopefully, this cliffhanger turns out to be real though. As for Tate and Holly, I gotta admit, they came off as a little smug and nasty today, but since it was all directed at Sophia, I didn't have a problem with it at all. She deserved it lol and she did kinda deserve what Kristen did to her too. I appreciate the fact that they tried to surprise us, but I think every fan probably figured out that Kristen was going to turn on Sophia at some point. Something good could happen as a result of that though. And if it leads to Kristen finally being written out, I'm all for it. Btw, I see we got a new set.

This is speculation, but I wonder if they did that just for James Reynolds. Like they thought it would be nice for him to work with the son of one of his close friends. But I still think they could’ve gotten a story out of that, especially with Theo and Paulina objecting to Abe helping Liam. I felt like they just didn’t want to take the chance and write it. And I do think there are a lot of story opportunities now; they just have to run with them. And like I said before, in terms of the writing, just do more. I got some fanfiction ideas myself 😂😂

Pacing is another issue that seems like it’s becoming a problem on Days. I appreciate that they’re not rushing through everything, but some things have gotten a little slow. I’m hoping that the payoff is worth all the build up

He’s cute. Hope it works out… and that Javi finally gets an alternative to Leo. Dimitri, Mark, his “Texas BF.” Anyone would be better.

Welcome back, Shawn! Another legacy character who should be featured much, much more. It was nice to finally get some follow up with his storyline. Him and Jada were sweet today as he tried showing off for her lol they do have chemistry and I really hope that they get featured more. Somehow weaving Belle, and her drama, into this would be a good idea as well. I'm also interested in seeing what happens now that it looks like he may be getting out of the hospital soon. And he looked good too. I also liked that Stephanie got a chance to express her feelings about everything that happened with Jeremy, first with Kayla, then with Marlena. It's always good to see her mix it up with other characters. And her and Marlena work well together. Even though I think they should've built it up a little more, I think that Stephanie's actions make sense based on everything that's happened to her lately. And I like that she's so determined to not let anyone have control over her anymore. After the last couple of years, she really could use that mentality lol besides the massive foreshadowing with the gun, Stephanie having that mindset could lead to something good happening for her and everybody around her. She definitely needs an alternative to Alex too, especially now that Jeremy's gone. As for Johnny and Sophia... their scenes weren't bad but I probably would've liked them a lot more if they had involved any character other than Sophia. This is one character who certainly could've been sent packing before Jeremy. The cliffhanger ending was good too. Agreed. That's the only way that I could see 'Liam being Mike's son' working.

As nice as it would've been to get more Hortons, it would've taken Jason47 or another Days historian/big fan to have to had written that reveal in order to make it work, without screwing up any timelines/ages, etc. Mike and Ivy had a brief flirtation when Michael T. Weiss first debuted in the role in 1985. He was there for her when Pete and Melissa were on the run, and delivered her and Pete's baby too. But from what I saw, it seems like that teasing was pretty much forgotten about once Mike met Robin. A little while later, after Robin broke up with Mike, he started dating Ivy, but it was basically just a rebound for him. Eventually, Mike and Robin reunited and Ivy left town, I think. You could've said that Ivy was pregnant at the time, but that would've made Liam older than Jeremy, and way older than Theo. And screwed up the timelines even more than they already were lol So maybe it was a good thing that Liam didn't turn out to be a Horton. If anything, he should be in a triangle with Ari/Theo, which could also weave in Gabi/Philip, and their drama.

Well, I can be a little pessimistic about other things so I figured I should try to be optimistic about Days 😂😂😂 And in some ways, it seemed like he was on track to do the same thing with Abigail Klein. I do think Stephanie has been written a little stronger in the past year, but it often got downplayed due to Alex/their relationship

DAYS: April 2026 Discussion Thread
Good-bye Jeremy. Good-bye Michael Roark. And I gotta say, what a waste. I really don't understand the thought process here or what people BTS at Days are doing. Why would you write out, not only a legacy character that's practically a blank slate, but a character and (very handsome and talented) actor that's clearly well liked by the fanbase, and who has good chemistry with his scene partners? And also start a storyline for him on his way out? I don't get it. At all. There are plenty of characters who could've been cut before Jeremy. Hell, even some characters that I like could've been cut before Jeremy. Do any of y'all have an idea or any kind of speculation? Because I don't. You can't even say that this is related to the wayyyy too huge gap from tape date to air date because Days has known for years how much the fanbase prefers Hortons and legacy characters, in general. This has to be another choice, and a very, very stupid one, at that. Maybe it is time for some people BTS to be sent packing. Hopefully, we'll be seeing Jeremy again soon. Or that Dishin Days or Michael Fairman or somebody interviews Michael Roark. In the mean time, today was another mixed bag. Stephanie realizing so quickly that Jeremy was the one who got Joy to come back to Salem was a good confrontation, but I would much rather it had played out for a few months more. It definitely would've been better if Stephanie had found out what Jeremy had done right when she made the decision to leave Alex and give Jeremy another chance. She then could've turned to another man. And I appreciate that Jeremy's last scenes were with Julie. I like how she comforted him and I'm really gonna miss their relationship. Kristen and Sophia were just a waste of time, once again. But I am a little interested in seeing what happens with Johnny tomorrow. He and Chanel are basically the only thing that makes this storyline somewhat watchable. Carson's acting at the end though... 😂😂😂 Hopefully, something good happens as a result of all this.

Jeremy, Jeremy, Jeremy In all honesty, I could get behind the idea of him having been the one who got Joy to come back to Salem. It's actually a pretty good secret that could have ripple effects across the canvas, even beyond Stephanie and Alex. Plus, it adds another interesting dynamic to this storyline. And also, I saw some chemistry between Jeremy and Joy. Not exactly romantic chemistry, but I really felt like there was something there. But seriously, what's the point of all this if But as stupid as that choice is, I am still interested in seeing what happens, especially since Stephanie came off like a real nut again today lol but I actually thought Abigail Klein did a good job. Btw, the Nancy bashing was not necessary. Just because Ron hated the character, she's gotta be awful now? I did enjoy Conner's Chad's first scenes with Marlena, and then with Theo. I'm still not liking everything surrounding Kristen/Rachel that much but I wouldn't mind Chad getting involved in that somehow, or getting involved in the whole pod/Lexie thing, which I haven't really liked all that much either. But Chad possibly investigating EJ's secret, all the while Theo knows the truth is a pretty good dynamic in this storyline that could lead to something interesting happening. And I will say that the conflict between Theo/Abe over Theo getting so close with the Dimeras should be featured a lot more. This is another thing that should be tied in with Theo/Gabi/Philip, Gabi's secret, etc. Days really needs to hire us, the posters of SON, as consultants/continuity people 😂😂

I just hope it was a mistake, like when, in one of Zach Tinker's first episodes, Sonny referred to Titan as his grandfather's company 😂 Because this would be a pretty bad rewrite for Gabi/Theo.
