Chloe/Xander was ff material. Xander knows he got a guilty conscience when it comes to doing bad things, but yet he keeps doing them. The whole story makes no sense. Dimitri/Megan could be a really good dynamic, though I don’t see why Shane couldn’t just have them both have an accident or be suicided once the ISA pardons them and has them freed. And, I’ve said it before, but we definitely don’t need a third person in this EJ/Stefan pissing contest. Plus, it’s always good to have Andrew back onscreen so I’m interested in this storyline 😊 Now, if only Shane was featured… Honestly, it feels weird for any adult male to call their aunt “auntie” 😂😂

Good episode, but too much stuff happened offscreen. Some of had to be, but some of it didn’t. It seems a few of the new hires on the writing team don’t know much about pacing. This Shawn storyline could be really good if they keep investing in him and Belle. This should be the front burner storyline on the show right now, not RSW/Alex. Speaking of RSW/Alex, once again, his line delivery makes it sound like he truly doesn’t care about being a better person and that he’s only acting like that in order to manipulate people. Btw, does anybody else hate the way he pronounces “Auntie”? (Ontie) 😂😂 And yeah, the Maggie character assassination isn’t going to work, no matter how she’s written.

Happy 5000th Dee!! 🎉🎉 There were some things I liked about the tribute today. The flashback to her first scene with Mickey, John’s toast and the appreciation for Marlena/Dee that was conveyed. But the episode really needed to have some of her family in it. Eric, Belle, somebody lol. She’s helped them a lot too as a parent and as a psychiatrist.They kind of missed the mark with that one. And yeah, I guess it is one of Marlena’s biggest triumphs but we didn’t need a flashback of her with Ben and her praise of him either. Speaking of the RSW 🍆 that the show has, the Alex scenes would have been better if Maggie hadn’t been thrown under the bus. And damaged even more just to prop Alex. He screwed up, but somehow Maggie’s gonna end up being the bad guy. Btw, was Yuri’s last name being Kasnoff supposed to be a wink wink nod nod to ATWT? I did like the Roman/Maggie scenes though. I can’t even remember the last time they had scenes together. And with all the talk of Bo and Hope, I still hope we find out what went wrong with the storyline.

I think Sami did it by accident. That was Days needs now more than anything; just realistic stuff because everything you’ve mentioned has been more than done to death under Ron. Funny how Sony/Peacock, whoever, etc, doesn’t interfere over all that stuff, but they did interfere with Bo and Hope’s story 😂

So did I. It could have been good, especially if they had weaved Brady into it. And even Li and Kristen to. It could have played out for the whole year. I hope they don’t make the same mistake with Nicole’s storyline and maybe by some miracle, we’ll get some character growth as a result. TC’s Stefan was practically a nut 😂, falling in love with a personality. They needed to add more nuance to Stefan, especially when BB took over, but they just decided to “kill” him off. But at least they admitted that was a mistake. As for the feud storyline, it just seems like laziness to some extent. And an obsession with making everything a campy bitchfight.

Gabi and Stefan can just go away. This Dimera stuff is so stupid and pointless. This is exactly what I didn’t want to happen with them. They rushed the Stefan getting his memory back story and now they’re just stuck doing nothing, like Will/Sonny and Ben/Ciara. And we’re probably gonna be stuck with this until I liked the Sloan/Colin scenes. The acting still needs work but they really improved Sloan’s character. She’s finally more than just the bitchy lawyer/Real Housewives rip-off. A character can keep their edge and be rootable at the same time. Speaking of acting, I like Talia, but after today, I can see she’s not a good crier. Not at all. And yes, Nicole is being dumb lol but I still like the storyline.

Not much happened today, but Sloan and Colin’s reunion was set up for tomorrow and I’m looking forward to that. I’m really liking this Nicole/Anna friendship. I like that she has Anna to confide in. And Anna keeping the secret could lead to something in the future. Meanwhile, I love that everyone is congratulating Dee on Twitter for her 5000th episode
