Slower episode today, but one highlight: "He (Tyrell) must have some Cancer in his charts somewhere, because he be too emotional" - Samantha 🤣 The actor playing Derek just isn't getting better. I wanted to give him some time, but it's been 2 months now. Others are improving and he's not.

Mid-October '95 and Amanda Spaulding has returned to Springfield with all of Alan's voting power at Spaulding Enterprises, which pisses off Alex. I know nothing about Amanda other than she's Alan's daughter and AM/Phillip's half-sister. This should be interesting. LOL - I swear everyone in Springfield has married each other. Amanda just ran into Ross and Blake at Cedars, where Blake now thinks she may be pregnant, and Amanda starts flirting with Ross and reminiscing about their good days. Blake immediately is upset and introduces herself to Amanda. Amanda goes "Oh you look familiar, didn't I see you in a family Christmas card years ago? Which brother of mine were you married to again?" - and Blake is forced to say "Both of them" 🤣

LOL at that weird carrousel - I'm still trying to figure it out. They just randomly happen across a deserted home with a carrousel in the living room and they go gaga over it. 😂 Also LOL at her running away. She's done it twice now since I've started watching, the second time she literally took the bus on her own... as a small girl with no cell phone or money... wtf 🤣 Ahh interesting. Yeah, I started a month after the 5th street fire, and come to think of it, they never really told me who the culprit was. But, Sid wasn't involved at that point and he was barely seen my first few months except a random date/love scene with Gil here and there. He was working as Alan's lawyer at the time, found out about Alan getting Gil's LA job nixed, which Gil then found out about and dumped him. Then he defended Alan in the Brent/Spaulding Enterprises 'cook the books' trial. Alan got released from prison after freaking out and going berserk (stupid) and then he fled to Goshen and got ran over by Reva's horse and carriage 🤣 Never saw a scene with Sid and Vanessa/Bridget sadly. Marion attempted to kill David Smith in the 5th Street construction site, but failed and David survived. While in the hospital, Sid tried to get David to sign papers stating he wouldn't sue Spaulding or Lewis Construction, but before David could sign, Gil caught them and put a stop to that. Then randomly he came back to tell Gil he was leaving town for a new job, so goodbye forever (which the actor played really well - he cried and felt remorse for losing Gil).

Oh I love that! I also saw Cady McClain's instagram where she posted a pic of her and Finola and it must have been that same day bc Finola's outfit looks similar. Love how they're all still close.

Today had Josh Duhamel and it was lovely seeing the three of them together. You can tell they're all friends. They didn't talk much about AMC outside of acknowledging the fact it was an AMC reunion week when he first sat down, but it was still good to see them together. Josh's voice has gotten deeper/gruffier as he ages. They mentioned Finola Hughes was also on this week, but I guess I missed that.

Sadly no, but to be fair, I didn't see a ton of her. She just seemed stiff and slow to me during Eve's death. Totally opposite of Kimberly Brown's Marah who probably overacts. After what Khan said, I'd be interested in seeing her during Maureen's death and maybe change my mind.

Oh SNAP! I can't imagine Meredith getting physical unless it was to push a hand or arm away from her. This will be wild.

LOL this is the storyline that was happening when I got grounded for a week and I couldn't watch. It pissed me off SO much that I couldn't watch. I would sneak downstairs and try to watch through a mirror in the stairwell but could barely hear it. I just remember pixie-cut Dixie, in a hat, was trying to rescue Tad in the rushing river water. What memories!

LOL - now that would be funny. I bet if they're still friendly, they would find that to be a fun thing to play out.

I do agree, it would be a better fit with Vanessa/Dani and Nicole/Pamela - age-wise and personalities. But, I'll take Cady regardless! So happy she's on BTG.

Had Pamela not rejected the wine offer, Dani would have been drinking right there with her again, after waking up from blacking out haha. She had the bottle and two glasses out ready to go. LOL - yessss! Love her.

I still don't really get why Ted all of a sudden felt the need to tell Andre his secret. Now of course he's worried Andre will say something. Not sure why he put himself in that situation if he wasn't willing to come out to everyone with the secret. Mike has to go, he's gross... let's wrap up this storyline and move on since it didn't go anywhere. I agree, Dani and Andre have great chemistry.

I agree with all of this, and sadly the ladies couldn't see or understand that when Garcelle started feeling a certain way during the reunion. Garcelle was just fed up and done and I don't blame her. It sucks.

Although that must mean the actor playing Billy right now probably won't have much longer.

No - this one was Kimberly J. Brown (1993-1998). She goes on to be the popular Marnie in the Halloweentown movies.

Which is a bit of a shame, because I thought the actor was really good. But GL is his only acting credit on IMDB and I can't find anything about the actor online, which is so odd. I wonder what happened to him.

Yep, thankfully I don't think we'll have a completely RH-free zone this year, but we won't have multiples going on at the same time like we've had. We'll have Miami starting in June, with Atlanta still running and closing out mid-summer. I'm guessing OC will be next, starting late summer (August?), and then Potomac starting fall (Sept/Oct?), and then SLC in winter (Nov?). Hopefully by then, they'll have NJ and NYC figured out and filming. IMO - The Valley turned out to be a goldmine and one of the best shows on Bravo last year. This new season that just started seems to be just as good, if not better! I'm so excited for it.

I'm up to October 3, 1995. I'm still enjoying the show, but some of these storylines are starting to drag longer than storylines seemed to in early '95 - Dinah wreaking havoc on Springfield, Josh/Annie, Reva and Alan in Goshen... The character of Susan Bates is too boring and preachy. If I hadn't already known she would end up with Nick, I would assume she was brought in to be Marian's first murder victim. They've been slowly hinting at Nadine becoming a clairvoyant, which came out of nowhere, but now she's having full on visions making her believe death is imminent. Josh/Annie just broke off their engagement when Josh found out Annie was married to Rick in Chicago and was an alcoholic. I'm glad the secrets are finally out so we can see the aftermath. I really like Josh, he's handsome, but when he gets angry and yells, he's very loud and its no longer sexy... I just realized that the young actress playing Marah is Marnie in the Halloweentown movies!!! Wow, another good GL cast surprise. I really wanted to like Alan Spaulding, but man is he just an unlikeable villain from what I've seen. He doesn't have any likable qualities like Roger does, for example. He used Brent to his advantage and didn't care that Lucy was raped, he used Tangie and Sid both in his trial, and how he's taking advantage of Reva in Goshen by pushing himself on her and tricking her to believe they were destined to be remarried. He won't tell her the truth about Josh. He just gives me the ick. Speaking of Sid, he just had a tearful goodbye with Gillian and I guess he left the show? It wasn't clear and I can't find anything online, but the only other strong tie he seemed to have was to Alan, who has now been stuck in Goshen. I guess Sid wasn't as big of a character as I thought when I started my watch. Dinah and Roger just got married and Vanessa and Matt are about to soon. That Dinah is a terror, but I really like the actress, Wendy, and I think she and Maeve look so similar with their hairstyles. I would say this Dinah storyline and the related side stories (Blake/Ross, Vanessa/Matt, Roger) have been the most front burner since Feb '95 when Dinah arrived. They really worked Wendy that year. One reprieve I've had for months now is no Fletcher! Fletcher and Holly got married in July and they've barely been on since. They had about a 1-2 week storyline where Holly found out she was pregnant and Fletcher got upset, thinking it was Roger's because he had a vasectomy, but that ended quickly once Roger got back in Dinah's orbit. Otherwise, they've been MIA. I really like Holly, so hopefully she returns soon. I'm still really enjoying the show and will continue watching Like I've said before, this is giving me wonderful nostalgic feelings and reminds me of how great soaps were back in the day when compared to today.
