Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I do like the theme - BH rarely has one, right? I agree, Garcelle is the best! I also like Boz and Erika. The others are pretty safe. Even Dorit is understated, which is surprising.

Love to hear it re: AMC I'm the same, I hate missing an episode or even scenes, so I get it. Are you watching the episodes from Blake Marler's YouTube or somewhere else? I just checked and it looks like he has most of the 1990-1991 episodes now (although both years seem to miss most of Jan, but Feb-Dec seems to be there).

My AMC watcher! If you stopped in late Oct '93, when did you start? I keep hearing great things about 91-93, so I'm sort of kicking myself by not starting back then, but I really came to start the Brent/Marion saga (for better or worse), so I started Feb 10, '95. I know this period sort of gets dragged, but as someone who never watched GL pre-2000s, I am REALLY enjoying it so far. I'm up to April 20, '95. If you start GL, promise me you won't stop your AMC watch! Because I really want your take on 1991-1992 I have to say, the Buzz character is starting to come off as another Fletcher-type to me, where he can do no wrong and comes across as annoying and a bit sanctimonious. Otherwise, I'm enjoying most of the storylines. Dinah just hooked up with Roger, which I figured would happen, but wow, he's technically her step-grandfather, so that's... weird hahaha.

I remember as a teen thinking with Robin in place as Janet, and her redemption arc, it made sense. I've read so much about how Kate hated James (a la Vivian Vance/William Frawley), but I've always wondered how Robin got along with James. Once they brought Kate back as kooky Janet, they sort of undid everything that happened, but yeah in the moment, I remember buying the Trevor/Janet pairing.

Making my way through mid-April '95. We're at the 5th Street Ball, which is this outdoor Christmas Carol-looking party, where everyone is wearing period piece outfits. I always enjoy a large party that brings all characters and their storylines together. Although they're bidding the girls off for money and Fletcher, being the whiney a$$ he is, refuses to go, but can see it all happening from his home (or wherever he is), and he bids on Holly by yelling from the rooftop, just so Roger won't win. LOL - so cringe. Eww and he's now professing his love and doing this soliloquy from the rooftop to the whole party about how much he loves Holly. LOL I can't. I feel so bad for Lucy right now, and the actress is doing such a great job with the material. She just confided to Bridgett about her date and how Brent went too far, but denied being raped. Bridgett doesn't fully believe the story and is really giving Brent the stink eye. Lucy reminds me of Rachel McAdams (the actress). I can't believe Ross is willing to mortgage his house to save Dinah and her $50K credit card debts to this scary dude. I'm very team Blake right now. Speaking of Dinah - I just googled and it's the same actress as the Governor on Yellowstone! (I love Yellowstone too). So wild seeing her 30 years later. That's what happens when you start watching a 90s show, you think they'll look the same today but it's 30 years later haha - so wild.

LOL - sorry Maybe I'll warm up to her, but it doesn't sound like there is much time left, as Budig comes in later this year in '95, which I'm really excited about because I loved her on AMC. Wow - that is a wild ride that I really want to go watch haha. The Eve of 1995 is not at all like that - she sees to just be a nice quiet lady (aka boring haha). I'm now at the part where she got out of surgery and it sounds like a blood disease or something that she picked up from her time in the war (which war? I guess it was the third world country you mentioned haha). That is awesome! Happy to hear it I'd love to hear your thoughts from '95 too, when you've got time. I'm really enjoying it! Are you watching the episodes through this same YouTube link that I am?

Ahhh, Phillip sounds like an interesting character. I look forward to seeing him eventually. I just got to the episode where Brent rapes Lucy. Interesting turn, as I actually bought into Brent being a good guy and Lucy really enjoying dating him. It almost came out of nowhere because they were swimming and kissing only a few episodes ago. I guess Alan-Michael was always meant to be endgame here. Ironically enough, I just met Michelle and it's not Rebecca, so I guess she'll come in later in the year. This teen actress is a little wooden. LOL wait, this girl ends up marrying Macaulay Culkin in real life?? From the dialogue, it seems like Eve had a sketchy history and had to prove herself to the residents of Springfield. Was she a controversial partner for Ed at the time? I think I missed something critical during the OJ Simpson preemptions/lost episodes because Eve is now having surgery, which is what keeps Rick in town, and it doesn't seem to be related to her pregnancy. I saw Eve be told she's pregnant, and Ed overheard but didn't tell her he knew... then they're planning to get married at city hall, so the ladies throw her a quick wedding shower. They then leave to get married and she collapses. Now Rick is in town to help Ed do her surgery, and I can't tell what the surgery is for or if she's still pregnant and if Ed/Eve have talked about it. This is the only storyline where I feel like I missed something important. Oh! Annie just saw Rick at the hospital and had a shocked reaction, I guess she knows him...

Early April 1995 - Rick Bauer just returned to town to help his dad with Eve's "illness". He mentioned he didn't like how he left town before - how long has he been gone and what did he do before? He seems like a nice guy haha. They keep mentioning a sister Michelle, but haven't seen her yet. There is a new actor playing David Grant now - wonder what happened to the other actor? I'm really enjoying the A-M/Lucy/Brent triangle and the Dinah/Ross/Blake storyline! Annie is acting weird and now starting to turn Josh away, not sure why.

Ohh that is ick, but GL seems to be ok with having different generations hook up, I'm noticing haha. I wonder if Frank or Eleni were ok with this Yep! March 1995 she was pregnant, although my guess is that she'll lose the baby. Ed and Eve were leaving the hospital to get married at the courthouse and she collapsed (that's where I'm at now), so it seems like she's having complications.

I was just coming back to say that the show just answered my question haha - A-M said he's almost reaching 30 with no kids. I was even more surprised to hear he's not 30 yet, but running an entire company. Granted, it's a family business but still, that's a stretch haha. I assumed he was mid-30s. Sad to hear he never has children! LOL that's awesome. I'm a guy and all my friends either like Star Trek and sports or like soap operas and housewives, I just can't find a good mix of both Out to dinner, so will have to pick back up on GL tomorrow! I'm up to March 31st, 1995 and the preemptions seem to have stopped, thankfully! Ready for April!

Sadly, no. I've seen their intros and love them, but never got a chance to watch AW before it was cancelled. I made that ranking in my signature back in 2007 I think. I should probably update it, because GL might just find its way higher now! Spot on - he is too much and just needs to calm down and stop screaming all his lines for no reason haha. Good to know about his fling before with Alexandra, makes this make more sense to me. Does Alan-Michael have any kids at this point? He hasn't mentioned any, and he seems lonely right now, sadly pining after Lucy when he knows he shouldn't go after her. I feel for the guy haha.

Ugh - I'm in late March 1995 right now and there are only partial or short clip episodes. I think I hit the time when the OJ Simpson trial preempted things, which is highly annoying haha. I hate missing episodes. I just met a few legacy characters, so I assume: Ed and Eve, who work at the hospital and she just found out she's pregnant. Lillian who also works at the hospital and seems to be hiding a secret. Henry, Vanessa's father... Dinah is so messy and I'm enjoying it more and more. The actress is coming into her own. She's trying to seduce Roger right now and Blake just listened in on their phone call. Blake vs. Dinah is a fun watch. I'm really enjoying everything I'm seeing so far except the character of Fletcher. He seems to be the patron saint that everyone reveres. He just left the newspaper and everyone is begging him to come back and threatening to quit if he doesn't return. Alexandra seems to have a history with him and is jealous of Holly wanting him again. What turns me off is how the actor just yells his lines a lot - it's annoying. I really love watching Alan-Michael realize how he's falling for Lucy and is working to fight his feelings by enforcing the 'no relationships in the workplace' thing. He's so jealous of Brent and Lucy. Oh how could I forget BSG too - one of the best TV shows of all-time! Another reason for me to go find a late 80's episode just to see her on GL!
